"That person just seed to be warning us to run quickly," Alanna remarked after hearing the words of the survivor who was fleeing in the distance.

In this world, competition among survivors was intense. When facing danger, so were eager to shift that danger onto others just to survive. Especially when being chased by a large number of zombies, they might run straight into a crowd, disregarding the fates of others, with the sole objective of ensuring their own survival.

"Interesting," Waldo chuckled and shook his head. His gaze suddenly shifted to the two won. "If we ever encounter a similar situation in the future, I'll definitely run far away and not drag you both down."

Alanna and Helen were slightly taken aback. "What are you talking about? You're so strong; there's no way there could be zombies powerful enough to chase you in this world!"

Although Alanna didn't say much, she was deeply moved. Sweet warmth flowed through her heart.

Helen, on the other hand, couldn't help but chuckle as she covered her mouth. "You're underestimating yourself. In this world, it's more likely you'll be chasing the zombies! We wouldn't want you to drive them in our direction. Are you still planning on having us work for you?"

Hearing this, Waldo playfully shook his head. He tapped them both lightly on the head in mock anger, and they burst into even more laughter.

Waldo couldn't help but feel helpless.

Just then, a distant scream echoed. "Ah!"

It turned out that the survivor had just tripped and his leg got stuck in a crack. He couldn't pull it out, and a horde of zombies was closing in behind him.

In the blink of an eye, he was about to et a grueso fate at the hands of the zombies.

"I'll handle this!" Helen took out a Barrett sniper rifle from her backpack. The rifle had a rugged and domineering appearance. She quickly released the safety, aid at the zombie closest to Harold, and fired.

Boom!

Accompanied by a deafening blast that almost shook the eardrums, a bullet was fired and instantly pierced through the zombie's body. A massive hole appeared in its chest, separating the upper and lower parts of its body. Under the powerful inertia, the zombie was sent flying and knocked over several other zombies.

The Barrett sniper rifle was renowned for its trendous firepower. While it might not have the best accuracy, it had an irreplaceable advantage: a large caliber and terrifying firepower.

The first shot hit the mark. However, the powerful Barrett also ca with significant recoil.

Especially standing and shooting, Helen's chest tightened, and her shoulders montarily felt numb. All her strength was drained in an instant by the powerful recoil.

Helen panted heavily, adjusting her slightly disorganized breath. "No good, the recoil is too strong! Especially when I have to shoot while standing, I can't handle it. I need a short break before the second shot, or my aim won't be accurate! But right now..."

In the midst of her sentence, several more zombies approached Harold.

At this critical mont, Helen fired another shot!

Just one shot pierced through multiple zombies, showcasing the terrifying firepower.

However, after the second shot, she could no longer continue. More zombies rushed towards Harold, putting him in imminent danger.

Helen shook her head in helplessness. "I can't do it anymore; the recoil is too strong. Two shots were my limit. My arms can't exert any more force right now!"

Waldo stepped forward at this mont and calmly said, "Rest up, Helen. Leave the rest to ."

Before anyone could respond, he disappeared from where he stood, reappearing dozens of ters away.

"Don't worry; with Waldo here, that guy will definitely be fine," Alanna said with a smile.

"He really is way more powerful than ," Helen added, watching Waldo's tall figure in the distance.

Without using a gun, he was single-handedly dealing with dozens of formidable zombies. It was clear that only Waldo had the strength to do this.

In that mont, Helen couldn't help but admire him.

Waldo's figure flashed, and every ti he appeared, his precision sword dealt a fatal blow to a zombie. These zombies had powerful muscles, like reinforced steel, but in front of Waldo, they were fragile.

"Killing a regular zombie gives one experience point! Killing a regular zombie gives one experience point! Killing a regular zombie gives one experience point!" In the blink of an eye, Waldo had eliminated all the zombies, earning him dozens of experience points.

anwhile, Harold was left astounded. "My god, what kind of monster is this? It's incredible! One person, all alone, can easily kill dozens of evolved zombies. How is that possible? Is this even a human being?"

At this mont, he began to doubt whether his eyes were playing tricks on him. But the facts were right in front of him, undeniable. Who is this person? They looked a bit familiar.

Harold furrowed his brows; he felt like he had seen this person sowhere before. He had so vague recollection, but couldn't quite put his finger on it.

Just as he was about to speak up, and express his gratitude, he noticed that the three of them had already left in their car, showing no intention of engaging in conversation.

Regrettably, if he had stayed, maybe he could have asked for their help in saving his companions. But now, it was impossible.

Harold couldn't help but feel disappointed.

If Waldo knew what he was thinking, he would surely be relieved. To Waldo, avoiding more trouble was better than inviting it. Saving one life was a side effect of his actions, but saving others? That was not in his plan.

Oh, I rember now! Just at that mont, Harold suddenly recalled soone whose face overlapped with the man from earlier. "I can't believe it, it's actually Mr. Waldo!"

In a flash, Harold's eyes widened, and his breath quickened a bit. "If only I had known, I would have gone and talked to Mr. Waldo."

Unfortunately, it was too late for everything now. Harold wore a bitter expression, filled with regret.
