On the armored vehicle, Helen stared srized at a little ant on the console. She wasn't very satisfied with this superpower. No matter how she looked at it, it belonged to the auxiliary type of abilities. What their team needed wasn't this kind of power.

With Alanna's "Healing," they already had enough. Waldo's "Concealnt," strictly speaking, was also an auxiliary ability. Now, adding Helen's "Animal Domination," they had no offensive abilities at all.

In the future, they would have to rely solely on weapons to confront various situations and survivors.

The more Helen thought about it, the more frustrated and emotionally turbulent she beca. Just then, a loud rumble echoed in her mind, like thunder striking down. Suddenly, she felt ti freeze for a mont. Then, she found herself seeing through the eyes of the little ant in front of her. This was unbelievable!

Through the ant's perspective, Helen saw herself in front and Waldo beside her. She tried to control the ant's body and move forward. It worked! It was like piloting a robot with her mind; she could control it as she wished.

Helen manipulated the ant and slowly crawled up onto the console. It felt very novel. Her own viewpoint had suddenly shrunk a thousandfold. Looking at this familiar yet unfamiliar environnt from the ant's perspective, Helen beca sowhat addicted to the experience.

Waldo was operating the armored vehicle with little enthusiasm, and Alanna had fallen asleep. Helen was daydreaming, and he could only stare straight ahead while driving.

It was so boring! Suddenly, he noticed a small ant crawling in front of him. It was sowhat interesting. Waldo rubbed his hands together, intending to extend his index finger and crush the ant.

But just then, Helen next to him hurriedly spoke, "Don't! Don't kill it!"

Waldo was taken aback. "What's wrong? You still have the no-killing principle?"

Nevertheless, he stopped his hand and refrained from squashing the ant. Helen breathed a sigh of relief and then explained, "This ant is ."

The interior of the armored vehicle seed to fall silent after she said that. After a few seconds of silence, Waldo said, "Helen, maybe you're not entirely satisfied with your ability, but you don't have to imagine yourself as an ant."

Helen playfully flicked Waldo's head with her finger and said, "You're the one having imagination issues! What I ant is that I've figured out how to use 'Animal Domination.' I'm currently controlling this little ant! What were you thinking?"

"I see," Waldo responded, understanding the situation.

Waldo couldn't help but laugh and cry. It turned out he had misunderstood Helen's aning. He didn't expect Helen to develop the usage of "Animal Domination" so quickly; she truly lived up to her reputation as the school's top student and beauty.

Waldo asked seriously, "So, have you already developed the thod and applicable targets for 'Animal Domination'?"

Helen nodded, then shook her head. "I've developed the usage of 'Animal Domination.' It seems to work by controlling animals through telepathic fluctuations and gaining control over them. As for whether there will be any backlash or harm to myself, I'm not sure yet. Regarding applicable targets, I think these small animals should be fine.

However, for mutated creatures or zombies, I'm not certain; that requires further research."

After hearing her explanation, Waldo realized the potential of this ability. If they could control mutated creatures, large wild beasts, or even zombies, it would be extraordinary.

He jokingly suggested, "Should we try squashing this little ant then?"

Waldo blinked, but imdiately shook his head. "Never mind, let's not take that risk. If there's a chance of harming ourselves, it's not worth it."

Helen felt ward by his concern. Waldo had learned to worry about her.

"It's okay; go ahead and try. It shouldn't be too dangerous. Besides, you're right here, so I'm not afraid!" Helen reassured him. "More importantly, we have to test this ability. Otherwise, it could be troubleso if sothing goes wrong in real combat."

"You're right," Waldo agreed, freeing his hands. "Initiate auto-cruise!"

He understood that using any superpower in actual combat without thorough testing could be extrely dangerous. Just like with "Animal Domination," if the controlled animal were to die, there might be a backlash that they were unaware of, and that could lead to a disastrous situation if enemies exploited the vulnerability.

"Alright, if anything goes wrong later, I'll imdiately call Alanna to use 'Healing,'" Waldo said.

Helen nodded, acknowledging that Alanna would be her last resort if anything unexpected happened. However, she was uncertain if Alanna's "Healing" could counteract the potential backlash from her ability. It remained an unknown.

Waldo woke up Alanna and told her about the important matter. Alanna, still a bit drowsy, rubbed her eyes and asked, "What's going on?"

Then, she quickly beca alert, asking if there were survivors or zombies attacking.

Having survived in the post-apocalyptic world for a long ti, even with Waldo protecting her, Alanna could quickly switch to a combat mode.

Waldo chuckled, "Don't be nervous; I'm here. The important matter I ntioned is about Helen."

Alanna looked at Helen with a puzzled expression, but her intelligence allowed her to guess easily.

"Helen, is the important matter about you learning to use 'Animal Domination'?" Alanna said.

Waldo praised Alanna's intelligence, "Wow, Alanna, you're impressive! I wouldn't have guessed it myself."

Alanna playfully pinched Waldo's waist. "Really? So, I've always been seen as a silly girl in your eyes? Then should I leave?"

Waldo laughed heartily, not taking offense, and took the opportunity to embrace Alanna. "My bad, my bad. Tonight, ahem, I'll compensate Dr. Alanna properly?"

Alanna blushed, extricating herself from Waldo's embrace. "Dream on!"

Helen watched them playfully wrestling with each other, feeling a bit lancholic, but she quickly concealed her emotions.

Alanna noticed Helen's fleeting expression and knew that she was pondering many things in her heart. So, she gave Waldo a disapproving look.

"It's all your fault!"

Waldo looked confused. "Hey, I was just joking. There's no need to be so serious!"

Helen then earnestly explained the situation. "Alanna, we woke you up because of the uncertainty with 'Animal Domination.' Waldo and I want to test whether I can control this ant and see if it causes any harm to myself."

Alanna frowned. "Isn't that too risky? I an, I'm not sure if my 'Healing' can fix everything."

Helen pleaded, "Please, Alanna, can you do it?"

Alanna looked deeply into her eyes, understanding what Helen wanted to do. She was willing to take more risks for their team's sake.

She sighed and nodded, "Alright."
