Chapter 90: Chapter 90: rmaid

Chapter 90: Chapter 90: rmaid

Ming Jing was still young, and although she had experience fighting zombies, this was her first ti participating in a battle of this level.

Looking at her wrist, which Ji Xing had grabbed until it was red, Ming Jing’s expression finally beca serious.

If it hadn’t been for Ji Xing, she would have died on the bridge just now!

Ming Jing looked up, her gaze settling on the frozen river surface and her teammates who were focused on fighting the zombies. Her eyes instantly hardened with resolve.

“I’m coming too!!!”

As Ming Jing’s shout echoed, countless vines burst from the ground and, with the speed of lightning, rushed toward the river surface.

Though Ming Jing’s actions were sowhat adolescent, her strength was indeed formidable. Ji Xing, looking at her, now showed a hint of approval in his eyes.

“Boom!”

The ice surface erupted as the octopus monster roared and burst out of the darkness, landing atop the frozen river.

A knife was embedded in its left eye, and the severe pain drove the octopus monster into a frenzy as it swept its still-attached tentacles, striking at everything.

Ji Wanwan recognized the knife at a glance—it was Xia Li’s!

The octopus monster had erged, but where was Xia Li?!

No sooner had the thought crossed her mind than a fiery red figure shot out from behind the octopus monster, moving at an incredible speed like a dazzling red teor.

Xia Li, in a red dress, moved like a lithe snake, quickly reaching the front of the octopus monster, grabbed the knife in its eye, pushed off with the tip of her foot, and as she burst the eye of the octopus monster, she pulled the knife free.

“Roar!!!”

The octopus monster’s sky-shaking roar caused everyone’s eardrums to ache.

It flailed its tentacles in anger, nearly hitting Xia Li several tis, which made Ji Wanwan’s heart clench with each close call.

With another powerful swing, Xia Li pointed her toes, leaped onto the tentacle, and, using the force of the swing, perford several jumps to leave the ice and returned to the shore.

As soon as Xia Li was out of the octopus monster’s attack range, Ji Wanwan’s eyes narrowed, and she unleashed high-density Space Cutting on the octopus monster.

Space distorted, and the octopus monster was torn to pieces, but in the blink of an eye, these chunks of flesh recombined and began to heal at a visible rate.

This scene imdiately reminded Ji Wanwan of Wanjiale’s Level 4 zombie.

To deal with a zombie that possessed such strong regenerative abilities, one had to use the Space cutting. Expend its body, so it had nothing to heal!

With her previous experience, Ji Wanwan found using Space Cutting exceptionally smooth this ti around.

Accompanied by a continuous “pu pu” sound, the octopus monster was cut into one piece of flesh after another until finally, it exploded into a cloud of blood mist.

Not until the last piece of flesh vanished did a green crystal core fall onto the ice surface.

Ji Wanwan teleported, picked up the crystal core, and sensed the energy contained within it.

Wood Elent Crystal Core.

That’s not right!

This crystal core is only Level 3!

This octopus monster was not the true zombie commander behind the Liancheng Bridge!

Realizing this, Ji Wanwan quickly mobilized energy and launched a second teleport.

Before she left, she felt the ice beneath her tremble, and with the sound of cracking ice, she caught a glimpse of a large mouth full of sharp teeth lunging at her.

After a mont of weightlessness, Ji Wanwan found herself back on the shore.

The maw with sharp teeth also erged at the sa ti under the ice surface.

A massive grotesque rmaid appeared before everyone, its blood-red eyes betraying its zombie nature, with faint red energy fluctuations swirling around its body warning of its not-to-be-underestimated strength.

“Whoosh whoosh whoosh…”

With its entrance, the river’s surface boiled and churned, and a horde of zombies, several tis greater than before, sward toward the rmaid, encircling it in the center as it confronted the six people on the shore.

Ji Wanwan put the Level 3 Wood Elent Crystal Core into the System Space, her gaze heavily fixed on the rmaid in the river.

She should have realized it earlier!

At that ti, Wanjiale’s level 4 zombie had also initially disguised itself as a monkey corpse, deceiving everyone!

So she should have thought of it earlier – the octopus monster might just be a puppet!

No wonder the octopus monster, though it appeared fierce, was sowhat sluggish and stiff in actual combat, making it easy to deal with.

Ji Wanwan accelerated her use of Equivalence Healing to restore her body function, “The real BOSS has shown up! Comrades, brace yourselves for a tough fight!”

Ming Jing was dumbfounded.

What’s going on!

That octopus monster was already so strong, and it’s still not the BOSS!

Xia Li, however, clearly beca even more excited, “What an ugly creature, so ugly it’s infuriating!”

Xu Siming’s palms lit up with a pale blue glow, “Friends, shall we learn about freezing fish?”

Qi Hao had already controlled dozens of earth spheres, ready to throw them, “Cut the crap! Just do it! Charge!”

“Whoosh––”

Before his words fell, Xia Li had already rushed out like a cannonball.

The next second, the opponent accurately predicted Xia Li’s landing spot, and a burst of water shot into the sky, hitting Xia Li in a straight line and sending her flying, “Thud” – she landed in the distant river.

The remaining five people: “…”

Ji Xing fell silent for a mont, “No matter. Sister Li will resurrect soon, let’s continue!”

Qi Hao heartily agreed, “I second that.”

Xu Siming’s eyes blazed with fighting spirit, “Controlling Water Energy? Let’s see whose Water Elent is stronger!!”

“Splash!”

With Xia Li reerging from the water and skillfully taking care of a low-level zombie, the battle was fully engaged.

Xu Siming harbored a surging energy in his hands, charging at the rmaid, each step he took carried the force of Ice Seal, spreading a layer of ice resembling blooming snow lotuses on flat ground—stunningly beautiful.

The rmaid on the river screeched, and the horde of zombies surged, gathering around Xu Siming.

Ji Wanwan squinted her eyes, “Let’s go!”

Following her command, a high-density Space Cutting swept across, grazing the river’s surface.

The zombie horde suffered significant damage as a cost of Ji Wanwan nearly exhausting her energy and bleeding from the corner of her mouth.

“Whiz whiz whiz––”

“Thump thump thump––”

“Swoosh swoosh swoosh––”

Following Ji Wanwan, Ji Xing controlled the Flying Knives, Qi Hao threw the earth spheres, and Ming Jing harnessed plants, reaping the zombies that slipped through.

In a flash, Xia Li had returned to the eye of the storm, launching her assault on the rmaid.

In water, the rmaid moved extrely agilely, its agility so great that even the Zombie Hunter Xia Li could hardly keep up.

As it dodged Xia Li’s attacks, it also matched Xu Siming blow for blow with its control over Water Energy.

After Ji Xing, Qi Hao, and Ming Jing had thinned out the zombie horde, they had spare energy to assist Xu Siming in dealing with the rmaid.

On the shore, Ji Wanwan recovered her body functions while pondering a strategy of approach.

Before, both Wanjiale’s level 4 zombie and the octopus monster could be dealt with by using Space Manipulation because they were large and relatively clumsy; in other words, they were live targets that stood still for you to hit.

But this rmaid is too agile!

With such speed, even the Space superpower would have difficulty restraining it, let alone playing Space Bejeweled…

So, what thod should be used to deal with this rmaid?

Ji Wanwan rubbed her temples.

Suddenly, her eyes brightened…
