Ji Wanwan looked through the glass exterior wall down to the fourth underground floor, “First, sit down and watch for changes.”
The Green Snake Woman scoffed with amusent, “There is a special collection auction tonight, and only those eligible to participate in the auction can sit here. How co, you didn’t know?”
The Scorpion Man’s intrusive gaze swept over Ji Wanwan and her companion, his tone ominous, “So how did you two sneak in here?”
Looking at the only two empty seats left, Ji Wanwan glanced at Wen Yuheng, and they sat down separately.
Ji Wanwan leaned back lazily, looking at the Scorpion Man with a smile that was not quite a smile, “What’s it to you?”
“You!” the Scorpion Man exclaid, slamming his hand down as he stood up, “Young lady, I advise you not to seek your own death at such a young age!”
Ji Wanwan remained calm and detached, “And what’s that to you?”
The Scorpion Man was so furious that he trembled slightly, looking as if he was about to lash out.
“Hahaha…” The Green Snake Woman laughed so hard her shoulders shook, “This little White Rabbit is really interesting, I like her a lot. Old man, you hear , you are not allowed to touch her~”
The Scorpion Man was clearly wary of the Green Snake Woman. Despite his anger, he forcibly swallowed his rage and rigidly sat back down in his chair.
Ji Wanwan gave the Green Snake Woman a aningful look, and the latter was looking back at her.
From behind their masks, their eyes t, and Ji Wanwan saw a playful, teasing smile in the other’s eyes.
Without any noticeable reaction, she shifted her gaze and scanned the ten people seated around her.

From the energy emanating from several individuals, Ji Wanwan discerned that the Lion Man, Grey Dog Man, and Fox Man had pure, uncontaminated energy, while the Scorpion Man, Green Snake Woman, and Fierce Tiger Man carried the distinctive evil aura of the Baize Union.
As for the remaining Bull Man, Monkey Man, and Black Sheep Woman, Ji Wanwan couldn’t detect their energy.
These three either had very weak energy, too feeble for its leakage to cause any fluctuations, or they had very strong energy, strong enough to control the release and concealnt of their energy from being perceived by others.
What the answer was, Ji Wanwan did not know.
Unlike the noisy clamor coming from the third floor, the eting room was quiet, with all ten individuals sitting in their seats, each harboring their own hidden agendas.
“Dang—”
The clock pointed to nine, and a locking sound ca from the eting room’s door.
The Monkey suddenly beca alert, sprang to his feet, and dashed toward the eting room door.
“Damn it!” The Monkey pounded the door with his fists a couple of tis, but it didn’t budge.
Why would the auction need to lock the doors?
Just as she was wondering, sounds of chanisms activated above the ceiling, and guns mounted in each of the four corners appeared, all aiming their barrels at the Monkey who was at the door.
The eting room’s electronic screen and the giant screen suspended on the third floor below lit up at the sa ti, showing a white-haired man wearing a puppet mask on the screen.
The mont the man appeared, the whole underground gambling den fell silent, all eyes drawn to him.
The man in the screen seed to sense sothing as he looked toward the cara, his peach blossom eyes hidden behind the puppet mask twinkling with specks of amusent, “Distinguished guests, welco to the Baize Union’s rchandise exchange. The auction tonight is about to begin! First, let’s take a look at the items to be auctioned tonight!”
As the man spoke, blinding spotlights shot through the glass walls, illuminating the ten people inside the eting room.
Once accustod to the brightness, Ji Wanwan saw that the other two rooms on the sa floor were also lighted by the spotlights, and at this mont, she could clearly see the situation in the other two rooms.
Just like their eting room, there were ten masked people in each room, equally baffled and looking around.
The giant floating screen on the third level underground switched to the images of three eting rooms.

Ji Wanwan had a bad feeling in her heart.
The next second, a man’s voice ca through, “I believe the esteed guests present have had their fill of watching corpses fight. Tonight, we will conduct a unique slaughter. The three cages in front of everyone contain our fighters for tonight, as well as the items for auction this evening.”
The expressions of the ten people in the eting room changed at once.

Monkey turned around to continue smashing the glass when the guns mounted on the wall fired four shots at his hands.

Green Snake stopped joking, and Scorpion was no longer arrogant. The atmosphere in the eting room instantly beca solemn.
Ji Wanwan narrowed her eyes to look at the other two eting rooms. Their situation wasn’t any better. The one on the left was the most tragic; everyone put up a fight, and as a result, each one of them was bloodied.
She raised her eyes to look at Wen Yuheng. He was also looking at her, his eyes full of guilt, and he was visibly anxious.
Ji Wanwan shook her head gently, signaling that he should not be anxious and must stay calm.
Beside her, the Lion, who had boarded last, didn’t move at all and was as steady as Mount Tai, which surprisingly caused Ji Wanwan to feel a bit unexpected.
The white-haired man’s voice rose again, “Dear items for sale, if you don’t want to die, please imdiately return to your seats and sit nicely~”
While the man’s voice was as clear and pleasant as a spring striking stone, nobody in the eting room was in the mood to appreciate the beauty of this sound.
Wary of the four guns mounted on the wall that fired quickly and with strong penetration, everyone obediently returned to their seats.
After everyone was seated, the floor beneath their feet flickered twice and turned into transparent glass panels.

The chaotic and wild shouting lasted for about three minutes; both numbers “2” and “3” extinguished, leaving only “1” still lit.
“Congratulations, tonight’s item number 1 has been chosen!”
Following the voice, all the lights went out, leaving only the eting room number 1 and the giant screen on the third level still lit.
