The Alien Warrior standing behind the Pope had not anticipated Duge’s sudden departure, so the slander through Viscount Vels had not yet spread, and its impact on Duge’s reputation was minimal.

After that, he received the news of Holley’s Justice Kingdom being renad.

Then.

He was completely dumbfounded and subconsciously swallowed his saliva.

The Pope’s expression remained calm and collected, and he did not beco angry due to the slander against Duge. Sensing the emotional fluctuations of those around him, he asked, "Nobb, what has happened?"

"Pope, Duge was the most powerful Evil God in the last Alien Battlefield," the disheveled Alien Warrior Nobb said. "In the last world invaded by the Evil God, he established a kingdom in a matter of months, slaughtered the world’s strong, devoured thousands of Evil Gods to strengthen himself, and I never expected him to reveal his identity so soon..."

Beside the Pope, Viscount Vels, Holley’s father, was as pale as a ghost.

Later, having co to understand Holley’s actions, there was still a glimr of hope in his heart that Holley was indeed his son, truly favored by the Sea God. But Duge’s revelation of his identity rcilessly stripped away his last hope.

He hoped that the Pope’s killing him would help the Allos Family return to glory.

Viscount Vels sighed inwardly, looked towards the Pope, and bowed, "Your Holiness, I will personally expose Holley’s, no, Duge’s conspiracy on the battlefield and vindicate your na."

"Viscount Vels, Duge has bought people’s hearts with benefits, no one will believe you," the Pope said with a gentle smile. "When I defeat him, all the conspiracies and evil will vanish under the sunlight. When he dies, the people will naturally know the truth."

Having said that.

He turned his head back to Nobb and asked, "Nobb, what is Duge’s ability?"

"I don’t know," Nobb shook his head, "The abilities of the Evil Gods change with each new world they enter. I can be certain that Duge’s abilities are definitely related to justice or power, perhaps even Judgent, since he has used it to execute a number of nobles. Pope, when you fight him, you must be wary of his Judgent."

"He won’t have a chance to speak in front of ," the Pope assured with a mild smile, "He might be powerful, but he doesn’t understand the rules of this world. He’s chosen to have a decisive battle with in the sunlight; he probably forgot why I worship the Solar God..."

"Your Holiness, if you truly defeat Duge, may I deliver the final blow?" Nobb looked at the Pope, probing, "I can absorb the power of other Evil Gods to nourish myself. If I grow stronger, I can provide you with better support."

Viscount Vels stole a glance at Nobb and subconsciously moved his feet, distancing himself slightly. There was an innate fear in him towards Evil Gods.

"That is possible," the Pope nodded, "Nobb, haven’t you awoken the Divine Skills of an Evil God yet?"

"Not yet," Nobb said dejectedly, shaking his head. "My influence on the world is too small. If we win against Duge this ti, perhaps I’ll awaken the Divine Skills!"

"Well, I wish you success," the Pope said with a smile, as he pointed his Magic Wand at Nobb. A gentle white light enveloped him, "You will join on the battlefield tomorrow. This Divine Barrier will protect you three tis from the attacks of ten-star Martial Artists."

"Thank you, Your Holiness," a flattered Nobb quickly stood up and bowed to the Pope.

Among everyone there.

Only Count Grita appeared uneasy.

Because the Pope hadn’t freed him from the psychic prison Duge had set upon him...

Though the Pope said the level of spiritual power doesn’t determine the strength of a fighter.

But Count Grita still felt uneasy, even regretting betting everything on the Pope.

...

Duge arrived early in Basque City.

Sure enough.

The Count Grita family, lords of Basque City, were long gone.

But in Basque City, ordinary officials still maintained order, and the city hadn’t fallen into chaos.

After Duke Linqi and Duge arrived, those officials who had been ordered to slander King Holley were judged by Duge in public. As a result, their credibility collapsed imdiately, and no one believed the words of soone without credibility.

Following this, Duge’s propaganda’s credibility greatly increased, but despite this, many people were still watching.

After all.

King Holley was not well-known, while the Pope had already been a veteran powerhouse.

Although both were ten-star Martial Spirits, not many were in favor of Holley, even if his policies were more attractive.

If King Holley were to lose, then all his policies would amount to nothing more than flowers in the mirror, the moon in the water, having no effect whatsoever.

They would still be exploited by Count Grita.

Declaring support for King Holley at this ti, if Count Grita were to find out afterward, it would still be them who suffered...

...

Duge set the location for the decisive battle outside Basque City.

Partial reason was the small river outside the city, but more importantly, King Holley was considerate of the city’s civilians and feared that the magic might harm their lives.

At this mont.

Duge was accompanied only by Duke Linqi as his assistant; Old Gao and the others were watching the battle from atop the city walls.

Their levels were too low to be of any help in a battle between ten-star Martial Spirits.

Duke Linqi had changed into a new set of equipnt and was holding a magic wand, ready for battle.

Yet, the sound of his heartbeat was clearly audible to Duge’s ears.

"Duke, are you nervous?" Duge turned to look at Duke Linqi and asked.

"My lord, I am no match for the Chairman of the Magic Guild," declared Duke Linqi openly.

"Just do your best," Duge smiled. "You might not even need to act. Once the battle starts, try to use water-attribute magic. The more water you create, the higher our chances of victory will be."

"I understand." Duke Linqi glanced at the river on the ground, sighed, and thought how much better it would be if the decisive battle was at the Rhein River—the river outside Basque City was just too small.

"They’re here." All of a sudden, Duge looked towards the distance. Duke Linqi raised his eyes and saw a dazzling light approaching swiftly from afar, soon arriving outside Basque City.

As the light faded away.

Duke Linqi finally got a clear view of the newcors: only the Pope and a few unknown bishops, with no sign of the Chairman of the Magic Guild. He couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.

"Duge, I have arrived..."

The Pope’s gaze fell on Duge, and he directly used Duge’s given na, implying that he had long been aware of the other’s identity.

But after only a few words, his following speech took an abrupt turn, tears streaming down his face, "Solar God, I am sinful, for I have harbored blasphemous thoughts, aspiring to replace You. I once issued false divine decrees to test whether You were slumbering, whether You were watching over Your faithful..."

Upon these words.

A commotion arose from the city walls of Basque City.

Blasphemy?

The Pope, the spokesperson of the Solar God, actually aspired to replace the Solar God—there could be no news more explosive than this!

Duke Linqi was dumbfounded.

The bishops beside the Pope also changed their expressions, each turning to look at him.

Nobb, who was mingled among the bishops, looked at the Pope exposing all his secrets and then at the composed Duge on the opposite side; his heart was filled with bitterness. Damn, this damned skill, I told you not to talk nonsense with him, but you insisted to show off with a few words. Now, look, stripped clean by others...

However, at this point, Nobb, who had been dragged here by the Pope, was left with no way out. He could only hope the Pope would exert so strength and kill Duge, then slaughter all the people of Basque City. Perhaps then his reputation could be salvaged, and he himself might survive.
