Chapter 23: 023 The Battle Style Changed by the Heavenly Demon_1

Chapter 23: 023 The Battle Style Changed by the Heavenly Demon_1

Is this guy sick in the head or what?

Stating the obvious, like we need you to tell us…

What seed like a normal situation beca weird once Duge ntioned it; why does everything he says sound so off?

We’re clearly enemies, do you really need to show concern?

If you’re such a good person, why not put down your sword and let us capture you?

The more the n in black who were surrounding Duge and his group fought, the more irritated they beca; however, they couldn’t bring themselves to deliver a fatal blow. With so many comrades watching, if they killed him with a single stroke and soone decided to shirk responsibility or snitch, they’d be finished once they got back.

In a life-or-death battle, any hesitation is frustrating, especially when the guy on the other side is taunting you, really urging you to strike with killing intent!

TMD!

“Buddy, don’t make such big moves, watch your back or you’ll strain it…”

“Bro, why so careless? You almost hit the guy next to you again, any injury to our own is a loss for the Iron Palm Gang!”

“Don’t glare at him, man, we’re all from the sa gang. We need to be united and help each other…”

Duge’s trash talk continued non-stop, causing those who were surrounding him to beco heart disturbingly annoyed, gradually disorganizing their formation while Duge found his own rhythm in the real fight.

“A bunch of idiots, just focusing on surrounding him. Once I take down Feng Shiyi, he won’t have anywhere to run,” the man fighting against Feng Shiyi couldn’t help but shout after hearing the commotion.

That remark was a wake-up call.

The realization hit the n in black who were surrounding Duge; they imdiately slowed their pace. Changing positions, they trapped Duge, preventing him from breaking out of the encirclent. They also noticed that Duge’s martial arts were sloppy and his moves were without pattern, relying solely on his agility!

The previous ambush must have been a fluke.

One of them, while laughing, even started to throw out more jeers, “Heavenly Demon, if you have any last words, keep talking, give us sothing amusing to listen to…”

Duge glanced at him and chuckled, “What do you think your gang leader invited for? After all this trouble, it can’t be to capture just to keep as a prisoner, right? Maybe by tomorrow we’ll be on the sa side. What do you think, when I rember how you mocked tonight, will I feel awkward? Dude, tread carefully!”

“…” The man in black under the mask had a face dark as ink, hating Duge to death but clenching his teeth without making a sound anymore.

“Do you think that just because your face is covered, I don’t know who you are?” Duge used his “rear eye” to survey the surroundings, pondering his strategy while continuing his verbal assault, “When big shots aren’t sure who their target is, they often punish everyone involved. I might not know who you are, but I can surely figure out everyone who was sent on this job, can’t I? I wonder then, will the brothers who fought beside you and got dragged into this ss by you, hate you?”

“Fuck!” The black-clothed man who had spoken earlier really wanted to slap his own mouth. He knew the guy was articulate and could have just surrounded him quietly—why the loose lips?

Ah!

A scream rang out as another legitimate descendant of the Feng family fell.

Outnumbered and outmatched in martial arts, the Feng family’s Mansion defenders did well to have held out this long, but if the battle continued this way, they’d eventually be defeated one by one.

“Mr. Seven, save Yunjie, break through.”

Feng Shiyi knew Duge had only taken over a body two days ago and even if he had grown since then, his capabilities would still be limited. In such a situation, even if Duge wanted to protect the Feng Family, he might not have the power to do so. His only hope was for Duge to do as he said back at the Feng Family’s Mansion: to risk injury and save Feng Yunjie because the Heavenly Demon had extraordinary healing abilities, making it easier to break free on his own.

“Second Householder, is there any way to dispel the smoke?” Duge, seeing the situation on the field and knowing Feng Shiyi’s thoughts, didn’t intend to follow through. He didn’t know qinggong; even if he risked rescuing Feng Yunjie, they wouldn’t get far.

And that’s assuming they could even save him.

The only way to turn the tide now relied on Wang San, who had fallen into unconsciousness.

He indeed wanted to go to the Iron Palm Gang, but not as a captive because that brought him no advantage at all, and he would have to start over from scratch. Without backstabbing, he might even lose the attribute points he gained from protecting the Feng family. He couldn’t afford a bad deal.

“At a ti like this, why do you still care about that Wang San? Staying alive is what matters!” Feng Shiyi exclaid angrily.

“Second Householder, my attribute is to maintain, I can’t leave my companions and run for my life,” Duge couldn’t openly explain Wang San’s importance, so he phrased it more tactfully, adding a bit more to his own attribute value in the process.

“Damn it!” Feng Shiyi cursed, suddenly regretting tying the Heavenly Demon to the Feng family. Stubborn fools like this only brought disaster. Anything associated with the word ‘demon’ was no good. But in this dire situation, he had no choice but to rely on Duge and said irritably, “Splash him with cold water.”

The Hall Master of the Iron Palm Gang nearly laughed out loud. Before arriving, he hadn’t quite believed in the Heavenly Demon, but now he did. No normal person would act like this, staring death in the face and still thinking about saving others!

Cold water, huh!

Indeed, what they say in martial arts novels is true: if you’re poisoned, you need a woman to cure you with her touch, and if you’re drugged with hallucinogens, a splash of cold water will do the trick. The experiences of Jianghu never deceive.

Inns are never short of cold water. In order to prevent fires, there are always a couple of large tubs filled with water in the hallway.

Duge glanced at the location of the large tubs, then at Wang San, who he had thrown to the ground unconscious, and shouted, “Wang San, I’m risking my life to save you, rember my kindness!”

To Sacrifice Oneself for Justice, if there’s one opportunity, there will be a second. He wouldn’t pass up any chance to increase his attributes.

But in the eyes of the assassins in black, Duge’s actions seed foolishly laughable. Surrounded and unable to break out, did he really think he could escape just by shouting?

But soon, they couldn’t laugh anymore. Duge actually abandoned his own defense. With a sweep of his longsword, he charged towards the blades of the n in black.

This reckless move startled the black-clad attackers, and coupled with the earlier trash talk, they hesitated to harm Duge, instinctively withdrawing their blades, which indeed allowed Duge to charge unscathed out of the encirclent.

Duge wasn’t far from Wang San to begin with. After breaking out of the encirclent, he dashed to his side, scooped him up, and yelled, “He’s also a Heavenly Demon, you can’t hurt him!”

Then, with a swing of his longsword behind him to ward off the chasing assassins, he took a couple more steps and threw Wang San whole into one of the water tubs.

Splash!

Water splashed in all directions.

Wang San jolted awake, looking around in confusion, not knowing what had happened.

Duge protected the front of the water tub, “Wang San, there’s a traitor in the Prosperous Jade Building, whether you live or die depends on your performance now! Take them down one by one, leaving no survivors.”

Wang San caught on and aid at one of the attackers targeting Duge, retracted his chin, rolled his eyes upwards, and with a sickly cute laugh said, “Big brother, I like you so much, don’t fall for anyone else but , okay?”

That black-clad man’s pupils instantly contracted, an inexplicable fear seeping into his soul. He instinctively turned to run away.

Thrust!

Duge’s longsword pierced through, liberating him from the sickly cute love!

Over there, Feng Yunjie heard Wang San’s voice and shuddered violently, receiving a slash on his arm from a man in black.

“Yunjie,” Feng Shiyi roared, “Feng Qi, what are you doing?”

Duge’s Rear Eye clearly saw that after he killed the man in black, Wang San was montarily stunned, then quickly made a gesture like opening his personal profile, following which, a look of joy spread across his face.

This sequence of behaviors proved he must have also developed a new advanced skill!

But this wasn’t the ti to worry about that. Ignoring Feng Shiyi’s roars, Duge reminded Wang San, “Keep going.”

Wang San suppressed his joy and turned his gaze to another black-clad man, hysterically saying, “Brother, how could you slash at when I love you so much? Why, why can others receive your affection while I have to bear your hostility…”

This man hadn’t understood why his comrade had suddenly turned to flee, but an overwhelming fear filled his heart. He needed to escape, to get as far away from this terrifying fellow as he could…

But rembering his companion’s fate, he knew that turning would an death. Fighting against his fear, he dodged Wang San’s gaze while battling Duge, as if at any second Wang San might pounce and gouge out his heart, his movents completely disordered.

Duge seized the opportunity, his sword thrust hitting the man’s throat, ending his life.

In the blink of an eye, only two of Duge’s assailants remained. Wang San’s words made them shiver, not as overwheld with fear, but one after another, their comrades had acted strangely and then died.

The two knew that escape was impossible due to the fellow in the water tub. Exchanging a glance, they bypassed Duge and raised their swords to attack Wang San together.

Duge swung his sword to intercept, “Co at together.”

At this critical juncture, Wang San didn’t dare to get distracted, his smile wicked, “My dear brothers, I love you both so dearly. Let dig out your hearts, swallow them bit by bit into my stomach, then we will never be apart, giegiegiegiegie…”

A chilling laugh suddenly resounded.

“Ghosts, they’re ghosts!” Fear flooded the n’s hearts; they no longer had the will to fight. They even forgot about Duge’s possible backstab, scread, dropped their swords, and turned to run.

Thud!

Thud!

Two muffled sounds.

Duge followed close behind them, his longsword piercing their hearts, ending their lives.
