Witch?

Staring at the illuminated crystal ball,

the gingerbread vendor was stunned.

At this mont, he suddenly began to doubt his own judgnt. It was indeed possible for examinees to enhance attributes using keywords that fit the criteria.

But he had never heard of attributes that could change a person’s gender, spontaneously create magic power, and besides, Paul had only t the witch He Ya for such a short ti, learning magic on the fly was impossible!

The devil?

Could everything he said actually be true!

If it was indeed true, then the Sea God Scepter would not be the main storyline of this world.

Or rather, this world had dual main storylines, one being the legacy of the Sea God, the other being the legacy of Selma...

My goodness!

Everyone’s judgnt had been wrong.

The gingerbread vendor held his breath, contemplating as he watched Duge intently divining for Lewan Les.

If Paul wasn’t an examinee, then this suddenly rising fellow must be a key plot character, just like the witch He Ya.

Damn!

He almost killed a plot character.

Havin killed Paul, to protect himself, he would have to kill everyone present. By then, since He Ya had developed feelings for Paul, she would never leave with him.

After all,

sending her back to Herd Island would be like sending her back to Mahamadu; she would hate him to death. Moreover, to avenge Paul, she would certainly incite the world to hunt him down.

If he wanted to save his own life, he would have to kill the witch He Ya as well.

Killing Paul would have cut off Selma’s storyline as well, aning, he would have effectively severed the main storyline of the entire world...

In the end, all eyes would be on him.

He would not only gain nothing, but he would also beco one of the most conspicuous examinees in the world, hunted by everyone.

Fuck!

He almost made a stupid mistake, thankfully he didn’t start with aggression.

See? How could there be an examinee so high-profile that in less than half a month, he would expose himself under the spotlight?

It was a trap!

The gingerbread vendor’s forehead oozed with fine beads of sweat. Glancing again at Duge, he quietly retracted his murderous intent and decided to stay away from this disaster.

Maybe he should follow the world’s main storyline and search for the Destiny Sea Map or Selma instead.

As for Paul, let whoever wants to kill him do the job.

He couldn’t bear such a heavy karmic consequence...

...

The light on the crystal ball disappeared in a flash.

Duge looked at Lewan Les with a puzzled expression.

"What did you divine?" Lewan Les asked anxiously.

"Fish." Duge fell silent for a mont and then spoke, "I saw a scene where you were standing on the deck of a ship, the na of the ship was ’Shark,’ and the pirate flag on your mast had been replaced with the head of a shark bursting through the waves."

"What does this an?" Lewan Les frowned, slightly displeased, "I divined whether I could et with Selma, why did you show such an image? Is it because my money isn’t enough?"

"..." Marsha Hewitt said, "Your ship is the Seal, yet it has beco the Shark. Perhaps it ans you now have a new ship..."

"No." Duge interrupted Marsha Hewitt and shook his head, "Lewan, if it were any other witch, she might not be able to give a reasonable explanation for this vision. But I am different, I know why you changed the Seal into the Shark."

"Why?" Lewan Les asked, "You’re not going to say that I joined your Sea Fish Pirate Group, are you? What I divined was whether I could et Selma, not my future. Even if it were about my future, I wouldn’t possibly join your pirate group."

"Rest assured, you haven’t joined my Sea Fish Pirate Group." Duge said with a smile, soothing his emotions, "Lewan, if it were any other image, indeed, I wouldn’t be able to give you a reasonable explanation. But this image just proves that you’ve had an encounter with Selma."

"Why?" Lewan Les asked.

"Because I had a deal with Selma." Duge said, "Do you know what my ship used to be called?"

"What?" Lewan Les asked.

"The Soaring Giant Bird." Duge smiled and continued, "But after I finished my trade with Selma, I renad it the Smiling Angel. This doesn’t prove anything; rather, I changed the na of my pirate group to the Sea Fish Pirate Group. Now, every mber of my pirate crew has a suffix with a sea fish’s na."

"..." Vito next to him understood what Duge was trying to do and swallowed nervously. Damn, what is his awakened ability?

"Why did you do that?" Ace Bar sensed sothing unusual.

"Because of Selma," Duge replied, "In one of the ancient books in Selma’s room, I saw the mark of the next era. The next era’s mark belongs to fish; it’s the Fish Era."

"What does that an?" asked Lewan Les, nervous.

"I don’t know," Duge answered, "I only read such a description in that book. Every era has its own mark; the last era was wind, the era before that was clouds, and this era is fish. If you conform to the mark of the era, your life will go more smoothly. If you go against it, life will be full of obstacles and everything you do will be fraught with difficulties..."

"Is there such a saying?" Herman muttered.

"Perhaps the world of the sea demons is different from ours," Duge laughed, "I don’t even understand the true aning of the Fish Era. I don’t know whether the so-called Fish Era refers to the na or sothing like fate. But it doesn’t prevent from changing the na of the pirate group and adding the word fish to my crew’s nas. Better to believe it and be on the safe side. It’s just a na after all, and there’s nothing to lose!"

"So, I changed the na of the ship to Shark because I t Selma?" Lewan Les suddenly got excited.

"That’s right, you must also have seen that ancient book," Duge said with a smile as he looked at him, "or else how would you say no one but could explain the aning of this image? Because no other witch has seen Selma."

"I finally understand why you insisted on adding a sea fish suffix to my na," Marsha Hewitt shook her head and laughed.

"Changing nas will conform to the era, making life run more smoothly?" Ace Bar asked.

"Let’s put it this way, I originally had only one ship, but after renaming it the Sea Fish Pirate Group, in just five days I obtained five ships." Duge pointed towards his fleet and continued with a smile, "Moreover, the three of us brought Marsha from Herd Island without a scratch. Don’t you think that’s also a kind of luck?"

The captains sitting there had all experienced the chase on Herd Island and had personally felt the bizarre events of falling inexplicably and rolling into a ball. They had thought it was just a coincidence, but with Duge’s explanation, it took on a mysterious hue.

"And before, when you surrounded , I thought I had no hope of survival, but then you started fighting amongst yourselves, and not a single stray bullet ca my way," Duge continued with a smile, "It can no longer be called luck; it’s as if the Goddess of Fortune herself is guarding and protecting . I truly have no idea how to explain these mysterious events..."

Hiss!

The breath of the captains was held still once again.

The facts are the facts, they happened right beside them.

Up until now, they still had no idea how they ended up fighting each other...

It’s real!

Adding fish to the na really can change destiny!

The next era is truly the Fish Era.

"Witch Paul, can you help divine my future?" Captain Herman untied the pouch of gold coins from his waist and presented it with both hands, respectfully offering it to Duge, "There are more than eighty gold coins here. I also want to find out if there is a chance I could et with Selma."

"Of course." Duge did not take the pouch of coins but smiled as he looked at Herman, "Captain Herman, destiny is a wondrous thread, and every decision you make affects the future. Are you sure you don’t want to first add a sea fish suffix to your na? It might increase your luck value!"

Captain Herman’s eyes lit up, and he quickly said, "Walter Herman Octopus, that’s my new na. When I return to Herd Island, I will imdiately rena the Herman to the Octopus..."

Fuck!

Paul is going to soar to the heavens!

Vito looked at the others who were fooled and then at Duge, swallowing nervously again. If his ability really is related to fish, once this news spreads, he really will beco an invincible man!
