Chapter 429: Chapter 429: Spacecraft Chapter 429: Chapter 429: Spacecraft The next day, Su Jiyai boarded the spacecraft to Tartarous station.

The spacecraft was huge, with lots of other travelers talking and moving around.

Su Jiyai found her seat and sat down, trying to stay calm.

The seat was super comfortable, and when she leaned back, it adjusted perfectly to her body.

She looked out the window as the spacecraft began to take off.

The city below grew smaller and smaller until it disappeared, and all she could see were the stars.

“Wow, this is kinda cool,” Su Jiyai whispered to herself.

“It feels nice to get away from all that zombie ss for a bit.” The beautiful star and different planets made Su Jiyai yearn.

Interstellar era was one of the most beautiful dinsions she had ever seen.

For a mont, she even wished that she hadn’t stopped Qin Feng from following her.

If he was present with her and had seen the beautiful scenery with her…it would have been amazing.

“Hey, ai, I think this spacecraft is pretty.

I should take one with .

What do you say?” [This spacecraft is worth 100 billion federal coins.] Su Jiyai: “…” My dreams were shattered even before they could be fulfilled.

“This spacecraft might take up too much space; it’s better if I just admire it.” The journey to Tartarus Station didn’t take long.

When they arrived, Su Jiyai stepped off the spacecraft and into the station.

She expected to see a bustling, innovative, and beautiful scenery, however, contrary to her expectations, the planet looked a bit run-down.

The walls had cracks, and the lights flickered here and there.

So people looked suspicious, and others hurried along like they didn’t want to be noticed.

“Well…

this place is kinda sketchy,” Su Jiyai muttered to herself.

She kept her head down and walked quickly, trying not to attract attention.

But she couldn’t help glancing around at the weird atmosphere.

“Hey, AI, are you sure this is the right place?” [Yes, this is Tartarus’s planet.

It is a backwater planet.

The air condition of this planet isn’t great, the water here isn’t puriable, and the land is infertile.] Su Jiyai sighed.

“Great.

A place where everything is ssed up.” She looked around again and saw so rough-looking people gathered in groups, talking in hushed voices.

The vibe was totally off.

“Well, I guess I won’t be making any friends here,” she said to herself.

As she was walking, she couldn’t help but ask the Ai, “How did humanity even advance so much?

Will my world ever be this advanced?” Towards the end, Su Jiyai sounded a bit sad.

[Humanity advanced due to the discovery of energy sources that could power massive technological leaps.

They developed interstellar travel, cybernetic enhancents, and even life extension technologies.

However, not all planets prospered equally.

As for your world, it’s hard to say.

It might take centuries to catch up, especially with the chaos brought by the zombie apocalypse.] Su Jiyai nodded slowly.

“Yeah, I figured as much.

Still, it’s kinda sad to think about.

My world could’ve been so much more.” She walked in silence for a few monts, thinking about her ho and all the destruction she’d witnessed.

The cities there were in ruins, overrun by zombies, while people here were flying through space like it was nothing.

It felt unfair, but she knew she couldn’t dwell on it too long.

“Let’s see if I can find Leticia and ask for the 2nd scroll.

Ai, can you sense her location?” [I don’t have powers like the main system.

I won’t be able to locate that girl.

You will have to wait for the main system to return.] Su Jiyai sighed.

Thinking about how there was still more than one day left before the system returned, she decided to find the herbs Iris had asked her to.

“First, I will try my luck in the market.

Maybe I can find one of the herbs there.” Su Jiyai made her way into the market, which was loud and crowded.

There were stalls everywhere, selling all kinds of strange items.

As she walked around, her AI sent a ntal image of the herbs Iris needed, along with their nas.

“Alright, let’s start.” Su Jiyai muttered.

The AI showed her all the photos of the herbs.

Once Su Jiyai was well versed with all the herbs she opened her eyes.

She scanned the stalls until her eyes landed on one that had a bunch of plants and herbs hanging from the sides.

She moved closer and spotted the Voidroot sitting right there on display.

“Finally, so luck!” she thought as she stepped up to the stall.

The shopkeeper was a middle-aged man with a grumpy look on his face.

“Hey,” Su Jiyai said, trying to sound casual.

“How much for this Voidroot?” The shopkeeper glanced at her, then at the Voidroot, and smirked.

“Two million federal coins.” Su Jiyai’s jaw almost dropped.

“Two million?!

Are you serious?” The shopkeeper crossed his arms.

“You deaf or sothing?

I said two million.

You want it or not?” Su Jiyai shook her head, trying to stay calm.

“Look, that’s way too much.

How about we negotiate a bit?

I can give you—” The shopkeeper cut her off with a laugh.

“Negotiate?

Ha!

Look at you.

Scrawny kid, acting like you can afford this.

You probably don’t even have two hundred federal coins, let alone two million!” Su Jiyai clenched her fists.

She wasn’t used to being insulted like this, but she knew better than to lose her temper in a place like this.

Still, the way he looked down on her just because she appeared weak made her blood boil.

“Look,” she said through gritted teeth, “I’m just asking for a fair price.

No need to be rude.” The shopkeeper rolled his eyes.

“Rude?

You’re the one wasting my ti.

If you can’t afford it, scram!

Go beg sowhere else.” Su Jiyai was about to turn and leave, deciding that dealing with this guy wasn’t worth it.

But then, the shopkeeper called after her, his voice sharp.

“Wait a second!” he shouted.

“You think you can just walk away after wasting my ti?

You owe 3000 federal coins for standing here and bothering !” Su Jiyai stopped in her tracks, stunned.

“What?!

I’m not paying you for asking a question!” The shopkeeper sneered.

“You wasted my ti, kid.

Either you pay up, or I’ll make sure you never step foot in this market again.” The shopkeeper smirked to himself, his eyes narrowing as he looked at Su Jiyai.

“Heh, this kid’s an easy target,” he thought.

“Look at him, all scrawny and weak.

He won’t dare fight back.

I could probably get a good amount of money from him and scare him off without lifting a finger.” The shopkeeper leaned forward, his voice dripping with fake sweetness.

“Co on, kid.

Just pay up.

3000 federal coins isn’t much.

If you’re too broke to pay, maybe I should just teach you a lesson myself.” In his head, the shopkeeper was already imagining the scene.

“Once I get the money, I’ll make sure this brat learns never to waste my ti again.

I could beat him up a bit, make him cough up more cash, and no one would stop .

They’d all just turn a blind eye, like they always do.” He chuckled darkly, waiting for Su Jiyai to crumble under the pressure.

“Yeah, once I rough him up a little, he’ll beg to hand over everything he’s got.” Su Jiyai was stunned by the shaless people in the interstellar era.

Wasn’t this an advanced era?

A woman had tried to fra her earlier, and now soone was trying to scam out money for no reason.

Su Jiyai turned around slowly, looking at the shopkeeper with cold eyes.

“3000 federal coins, huh?” she said, her voice low but steady.

“You think you can bully into paying for nothing?” The shopkeeper blinked, taken aback by her sudden change in attitude.

“Y-Yeah!

You owe for wasting my ti!

Pay up, or I’ll—” “Or you’ll what?” Su Jiyai interrupted, her tone sharp.

“You think you can scare ?

Try .” The shopkeeper’s confidence faltered for a mont, but he quickly shook it off.

“You little punk!

You think you’re tough?

I could knock you out in a second!” In his head, the shopkeeper was still thinking he had the upper hand.

“Once I hit him, it’s over.

He’ll be on the ground begging.” But Su Jiyai didn’t move.

She just stared at him, her gaze unwavering.

“Alright,” she said, cracking her knuckles.

“If you think you can take , go ahead.

But don’t say I didn’t warn you.” The shopkeeper hesitated.

There was sothing about the way Su Jiyai stood, so calm and confident, that made him second-guess himself.

“Is…

is this kid bluffing?” he wondered, feeling a bead of sweat form on his forehead.

But it was too late to back down now.
