Chapter 404: Chapter 404: Cloth Chapter 404: Chapter 404: Cloth At the sa ti, Su Jiyai got to know about everything that had happened and couldn’t help but laugh.

“Great.

Now, HQ and his colleagues will be in danger.” [Host, nice plan.] Su Jiyai wiped away the tears forming at the corner of her eyes and said with a smile, “I know.

With their intervention, now even if the zombie king attacked us, they will think it is their handiwork.

Ah…I shouldn’t be laughing so much.

Anyways, system, how is the preparation going on?” [Almost done host.] “Good.” Su Jiyai said, checking what Narak was going to do.

…………………………………..

Narak stood still, his red eyes glowing in the dim moonlight.

His army of zombies surrounded him, waiting for his command.

His second-in-command, a towering zombie with jagged armor-like flesh, stepped forward and growled in their ancient tongue.

“Do we continue the attack?” Narak didn’t hesitate.

“Yes.

We march toward Rover Base.” The undead army let out low snarls of agreent.

They moved swiftly, covering ground at an unnatural speed.

The chilling sound of their footsteps echoed through the night, sending fear into anything that dared to listen.

They were unstoppable, or so they thought.

As they neared Rover Base, sothing strange happened.

When they were just 20 kiloters away, the ground beneath them suddenly trembled.

Crack!

The land beneath them collapsed in an instant, opening into a massive pit.

Before Narak or his subordinates could react, they were falling.

Thousands of zombies plunged into the darkness, their roars and screeches filling the air.

The pit was massive—2 kiloters wide, deep enough that even the strongest zombies struggled to climb out.

Narak landed smoothly, his sharp claws digging into the earth to stop his fall.

He stood up quickly, scanning his surroundings.

What just happened?

His mind raced.

This was no accident.

This was a trap.

Narak’s glowing red eyes narrowed.

Soone had prepared this in advance.

Soone had predicted their movents and created this enormous pit to stop them.

Su Jiyai watched everything unfold through a screen.

She leaned back in her chair, a wide smile playing on her lips.

“Perfect,” she whispered.

[Host, your plan worked flawlessly.] Su Jiyai chuckled.

“Of course, it did.

While HQ was busy fighting Narak, I had enough ti to set this up.

Now, thousands of their forces are trapped.” She tapped her fingers against the desk, still watching Narak on the screen.

“Even if he manages to escape, his army is severely weakened.

By the ti they get out, Rover Base will be fully prepared.” Back in the pit, Narak clenched his fists.

He looked up, his red eyes glowing dangerously.

His second-in-command struggled to climb out but kept slipping back down.

Many of the weaker zombies were already panicking, snarling, and clawing at the dirt walls.

Narak exhaled sharply.

“We were tricked.” His mind worked quickly, analyzing the situation.

If they stayed there too long, they would beco sitting ducks for Boss Su’s forces.

They needed to get out—fast.

His second-in-command let out a low growl.

“What do we do, my king?” Narak’s lips curled into a sinister smile.

“We climb.” He raised his clawed hand and struck the dirt wall beside him.

The force of his attack made the entire pit tremble.

The soil cracked, revealing large tree roots beneath.

“Use the roots!” Narak commanded.

The smarter zombies understood imdiately.

They latched onto the thick roots, using them as handholds to climb.

The stronger ones grabbed the weaker ones, throwing them upward.

Within monts, hundreds of zombies were escaping.

Su Jiyai narrowed her eyes as she watched the screen.

“Tch.

I knew you were smart,” she muttered.

[Host, what do we do?] She smirked.

“Trigger the next phase.” At her command, hidden explosives planted around the pit detonated.

Boom!

Boom!

The walls of the pit collapsed, sending massive chunks of dirt and stone crashing down on the climbing zombies.

Many of them were buried alive, their roars cut short.

Narak leaped to the side, avoiding the falling debris.

His fury grew.

“Stay away from the tree.” Su Jiyai commanded her shoulders, “Throw fireballs in the pit.” Su Jiyai’s soldiers were stationed outside the pit and were overseeing everything from the above.

With a flick of their hands, glowing fireballs ford in their palms.

“Attack!” the squad leader shouted.

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

One after another, the fireballs soared through the air, crashing into the pit below.

Boom!

Flas erupted, engulfing the zombies still struggling to escape.

The sll of burning flesh filled the night air as agonized shrieks echoed through the battlefield.

Narak gritted his teeth as he watched his army suffer.

His second-in-command, half-buried under rubble, let out a pained growl.

“My king, we must—” Before he could finish, another explosion rocked the pit.

Narak’s fury boiled over.

“Enough!” he roared, his voice shaking the air like thunder.

He lifted his hands, dark energy swirling around his claws.

A second later, a shockwave burst from his body, blasting away flas and debris.

The fire died down instantly, as if snuffed out by an invisible force.

The remaining zombies let out guttural roars, their bodies twitching as Narak’s power surged through them.

Su Jiyai’s eyes flickered with interest.

“He’s stronger than I thought,” she murmured.

[Host, he’s absorbing the energy from the fallen zombies.] Su Jiyai smirked.

“Order the soldiers to throw the cloth.” [Alright, host.] The soldiers received Su Jiyai’s order and imdiately started to carry it out.

Xi Ping soared through the air, gripping one end of the massive cloth while another superhuman soldier secured the other side.

The fabric billowed as they positioned themselves above the pit.

It wasn’t just any cloth—it was drenched in gasoline, its pungent scent thick in the night air.

“Now!” Xi Ping shouted.

With a powerful swing, they released the cloth.

It unfurled like a dark wave, descending upon the writhing mass of zombies below.

Fwoosh!

The cloth landed, instantly clinging to the desperate undead, covering nearly 70% of them.

Gasoline seeped into their decayed skin, soaking their ragged flesh and tattered uniforms.

The stench of fuel mixed with the putrid odor of rotting corpses.
