Chapter 326: Chapter 326: Plates Chapter 326: Chapter 326: Plates Su Jiyai, in her wolf cub form, nestled in Jake’s arms as he moved swiftly through the horde of zombies, effortlessly dodging them while maintaining a keen eye on their surroundings.

Her blue fur shimred in the harsh light, casting an almost ethereal glow as she scanned the desolate landscape.

“System, what exactly am I supposed to find to complete this mission?” Su Jiyai inquired, her voice tinged with impatience.

[Ding!

The exact nature of the item is unknown, Host,] the system replied, sowhat sheepishly.

[However, it is likely concealed beneath the earth or water of the Hua Tribe territory.] Su Jiyai’s eyes narrowed.

“So you’re telling that even you don’t know what it is?” she muttered under her breath, her frustration barely contained.

Jake, sensing her irritation but unaware of the conversation with the system, kept his pace steady, his crimson eyes scanning for any sign of danger.

As they continued, hours passed, marked by countless skirmishes with zombies, each one dispatched with efficient brutality.

Just as Su Jiyai began to lose hope of finding anything, her sharp gaze fell upon an area of the land that seed uneven, a subtle yet distinct difference from the surrounding terrain.

Her instincts imdiately went on high alert.

“Stop,” Su Jiyai commanded softly, her voice cutting through the chaos.

Jake halted, glancing down at her in surprise.

“What is it?” he asked, his voice low, as if not wanting to disturb the strange atmosphere of the place.

“Dig there,” Su Jiyai instructed, her small paw pointing to the uneven patch of ground.

Jake raised an eyebrow, clearly puzzled by the sudden demand.

“Dig?” he repeated, doubt lacing his tone.

Before he could argue further, a shovel materialized in his hand, the system’s subtle intervention leaving him with little choice.

With a resigned sigh, Jake began to dig.

His supernatural strength made quick work of the earth, each shovel of dirt flung aside with ease.

The sound of tal striking sothing hard echoed through the stillness after only a few monts of effort.

A clanging noise rang out, causing Jake’s eyes to widen in surprise.

He dug faster, his curiosity piqued.

Soon, the object began to erge from the ground, revealing a massive tallic disk—its size startling in contrast to the surrounding landscape.

Jake stepped back, astonished.

The disk was at least three tis the size of an average human, its surface gleaming faintly under the dirt and gri.

Su Jiyai’s eyes glead with triumph as the system chid in again.

[Ding!

Mission complete!

The host has successfully uncovered the hidden object and earned 10 million points.] Su Jiyai couldn’t help but smirk, but her satisfaction was tempered by a nagging curiosity.

“System, what exactly is this disk for?” she asked, her voice low and calculating.

For a mont, the system was silent, as if deliberating.

Su Jiyai’s patience wore thin, and she was on the verge of demanding an answer when the system finally responded.

[This tallic disk is one of seven hidden plates scattered across the nation.

They are weather-controlling devices.

Once all seven plates are collected and properly positioned, they hold the power to alter the weather of an entire nation or even an entire world, depending on how they are deployed.] Su Jiyai’s eyes widened slightly, her mind racing as the implications of the system’s words sank in.

Weather-controlling plates?

The sheer power of such an artifact was staggering.

No!

“Wait!

Do you an to say the extre heat that humanity is currently facing is because of these weather-controlling plates?” Su Jiyai asked in disbelief.

[Correct guess, host.] Su Jiyai’s glead, “Then don’t I just have to dig this plate out and the extre heat will vanish?” [No host.

Once the plates are set, even if you take out one of them, other plates will still work.

Only this area’s temperature will return to normal.] As the system finished its words “So even removing this plate won’t resolve the global issue,” Su Jiyai mused aloud, her voice calm but edged with frustration.

[Correct, host.

The remaining plates will continue to function unless all seven are deactivated or destroyed in coordination,] the system clarified.

Jake, still standing beside the enormous tallic disk, glanced down at Su Jiyai, noting the thoughtful expression on her small wolfish face.

“What’s going on?” he asked, sensing the gravity of the situation but still sowhat in the dark about the system’s explanation.

Su Jiyai flicked her tail in a sign of annoyance, not at Jake but at the complexity of the situation.

“Apparently, this disk is part of a larger set—seven in total—that control the weather.

They’re the reason for the extre heat,” she explained succinctly, her voice devoid of emotion.

Jake’s brows furrowed in thought.

“And this is one of those plates?” He looked down at the massive tallic disk once more, the magnitude of its importance slowly sinking in.

“Yes, but removing it won’t solve the problem entirely.

It’ll only affect the weather in this imdiate area.” Su Jiyai paused, her mind already considering the possibilities.

“But if we find all seven plates, we could theoretically restore balance to the climate.” Jake let out a low whistle, his sharp fangs glinting for a mont in the light.

“That’s…a lot of responsibility.” Su Jiyai, perched comfortably in his arms, gave a slight nod.

“Exactly.

I won’t be doing all the work.” [Host?] “What?

Do you truly think I will go through all the troubles to find the plates, to save the world from the extre heat?

What about other nations then?

Do you want to go to their nation and start to dig out the tallic plates too?” Su Jiayi questioned.

The system turned silent at her words.

“I won’t benefit much.

Its better if I tell this news to the military and other bases.

They will find plates from their area and can hence deal with the situation even more effectively.” [But host…I think you should do the task on your own…] “Why?

Do you even know how long will it take to find 7 dam tallic plates?”
