Chapter 188: Chapter 188: Sneaking Chapter 188: Chapter 188: Sneaking She shook her head, pushing the thoughts aside for now.

There were more pressing matters to attend to.

As soon as Lin Hao was out of sight, she ordered the system, “System,” she said in a commanding tone, “broadcast a ssage to all tenants.

Inform them that starting from 12 a.m.

today, everyone is required to stay inside their rooms.

The doors will be locked, and no one is allowed to leave their quarters for the next eight hours.

Make it clear that this is non-negotiable.

Any attempt to leave will result in imdiate eviction.” The system beeped in acknowledgnt and began preparing the announcent.

Next, Su Jiyai turned her attention to the refugees.

She knew this was going to be a more delicate situation.

The expansion she was planning for her base would require a complete absence of civilians in certain areas.

The refugees, although grateful for the shelter and safety her base provided, would undoubtedly question why they were being told to leave on such short notice.

“System, make another announcent,” she instructed.

“Inform all refugees currently residing at the base that they need to vacate the premises within the next hour.

The expansion process will begin soon, and it cannot proceed with them here.

Emphasize that if they wish to continue living here or rent rooms in the future, they must comply.

Failure to do so will prevent the expansion, and as a result, we won’t be able to accept new tenants.” The system beeped once more and began broadcasting the second ssage throughout the refugee quarters.

…….

The refugees standing outside Raven Base were shocked when they first heard Su Jiyai’s announcent.

The thought of being forced to leave on such short notice agitated many, their voices rising in a wave of frustration and panic.

A few of them even muttered about fighting back—after all, they’d risked their lives to seek refuge here, and now they were being asked to leave abruptly?

“This isn’t fair!” a woman shouted from the back of the group, her eyes blazing with indignation.

“What are we supposed to do?” another man growled, his fists clenched at his sides.

“Just wander the wasteland while she decides who gets to stay?” Tension rippled through the crowd, the unease spreading like wildfire as voices rose in anger and fear.

But amidst the rising chaos, there was a calm voice, a man with a sharp mind and a sense for survival, who spoke up.

“Everyone, calm down!” He raised his hands, and people gradually quieted, turning to him.

“Think about it for a second.

This isn’t Boss Su kicking us out for good.

Didn’t you hear her?

She said the base is expanding.” A ripple of understanding crossed through the crowd.

Heads nodded, and murmurs of realization spread like a wave.

“He’s right!” another person chid in.

“If Boss Su is expanding the base, that ans more room for all of us.

We’ll finally have a chance to rent rooms here, where it’s safe!” The tallic blue walls surrounding the base were an impenetrable fortress, charged with electricity to prevent any intruders from climbing over.

It was a security asure they never dared to dream of.

Inside, the lifestyle was a luxury compared to the constant fear they faced in other settlents.

The re thought of a safe place, free from the looming threat of zombie attacks, made the decision to leave montarily more bearable.

“I heard there’s a supermarket inside!” a young woman said eagerly.

“They even sell cup noodles for only 50 federal coins!

Can you imagine?

Actual food, not just scraps!” The crowd buzzed with excitent.

But while the majority of refugees followed instructions and left the base, not everyone was convinced.

In a quiet corner, three n huddled together, their expressions dark and calculating.

These n weren’t interested in simply renting a place and living under Su Jiyai’s protection.

They had a far more sinister plan in mind.

“We’re not leaving,” the tallest of the three whispered, his eyes narrowing as he glanced around to make sure no one was watching.

“If we stay, we can figure out what Boss Su is really up to.” The second man, shorter but just as sneaky, nodded.

“Yeah, we stay hidden, gather so dirt on her, and then use it to blackmail her.

She won’t have any choice but to pay us off.” The third man, the brain of the operation, grinned wickedly.

“If we do this right, we won’t ever have to worry about scraping by like the others.

Boss Su’s sitting on a gold mine, and once we have her secret, she’ll be at our rcy.” The plan was simple—pretend to leave with the others, but sneak back into the base after dark.

They slipped into the departing crowd, keeping their heads low and moving with the flow of refugees.

But as the clock neared midnight, the three n broke off from the group and circled back By midnight, the base was eerily quiet.

All the tenants were safely locked inside their rooms, just as Su Jiyai had instructed.

The three n, confident they had evaded detection, congratulated themselves.

One of them had telekinesis power and lifted all three of them to look at what was happening inside.

One of them had an invisibility superpower and he used it to hide all three of them.

But what they didn’t know was that Su Jiyai was already a step ahead of them.

From the mont they neared the base’s electric wall, the system had detected their presence.

It quietly tracked their movents, sending real-ti updates to Su Jiyai.

As soon as the clock struck midnight, Su Jiyai, sitting in her control room, issued her next command.

“System,” she said coolly, her fingers tapping lightly on the table, “scan the entire area.

Identify any unauthorized individuals who stayed behind.” The system quickly complied, and within seconds, it located the three intruders.

A small smirk played on Su Jiyai’s lips as she reviewed the information.

“Good,” she said softly.

“Now, make them faint.” With a simple command, the system released a mild anesthetic into the air around the n, rendering them unconscious within monts.
