Host stop!] But it was too late.
Her body was already plunging into the dinsional vortex, and the system’s words were swallowed by the swirling light and energy around her.
Su Jiyai’s vision slowly cleared, but a pounding ache radiated from every inch of her body.
Slowly she ca to her senses.
The walls around her were stone, slick with so moisture she didn’t care to investigate.
She was in a dungeon—there was no mistaking the oppressive silence, the almost ancient chill in the air, and the single throne directly in front of her, illuminated by a faint, ghostly light.
For the first ti in a long ti, Su Jiyai felt a cold, creeping dread settle in her bones.
The portal wasn’t supposed to bring her here.
Where was she?
Just as Su Jiyai was about to stand up and call her system, she heard them—voices, low and ominous, floating through the darkness as though coming from the shadows themselves.
Su Jiyai’s eyes darted around the room, but there was no one there.
And yet, the voices continued, echoing, layered with a strange darkness that made her heart beat faster.
“…She’s the one?” a cold, grating voice asked, dripping with suspicion.
“The one interfering with our plans?” A second voice responded, smoother but no less dangerous.
“Perhaps.
Though I don’t see how she could be such a threat.
A re human, capable of only a few tricks.” “She is gifted with remarkable power,” countered a third voice, this one barely more than a whisper, as if afraid of its own admission.
A scoff rang out, mocking and dismissive.
“You exaggerate.
She’s no threat to us.
She’s only… slightly lucky.” There was a pause, then a rustling sound.
Su Jiyai instinctively tensed.
She had no idea what these beings were, but their energy was suffocating.
“Enough,” said another voice, colder and more commanding than the rest.
“We cannot afford to take risks.
Even the smallest spark can start a blaze.
And if she is capable of opposing us, even unknowingly…” The voice trailed off.
Without warning, Su Jiyai’s instincts scread at her to move.
She flung herself to the side, barely dodging as a massive sword sliced down from above which fell on the ground with a ‘clung’ sound.
The blade pulsed with a dark energy, as if fueled by the malice of its wielders, unseen though they were.
Su Jiyai’s entire body turned cold.
Just a few seconds.
If she was just a few seconds late, she might have died.
If the voices could command attacks, it ant they could see her… but she couldn’t see them.
Were they even in the sa space?
Or was this place sothing beyond normal dinsions?
A cold chill ran down her spine as she realized it: these beings, whoever they were, seed to exist in a plane just out of her reach.
She was in the third dinsion—what she could see and interact with.
But the voices, the energy, the unseen malice—they were in the fourth, overlapping but inaccessible.
The idea unsettled her.
They could see her, and attack her… but she couldn’t do the sa.
“Well, she’s managed to dodge once,” a sneering voice said, displeasure lacing its tone.
“Luck, perhaps, but it suggests she’s… more resourceful than we assud.” “Doesn’t matter,” another voice replied.
“She’s an annoyance.
A thorn we need to remove before she develops any more power.
We should kill her now before she becos a true threat.” “Yes,” the cold, commanding voice agreed.
“One less anomaly to worry about.” Su Jiyai’s muscles tensed as she felt another presence loom near her, invisible but filled with nace.
She forced herself to remain calm, assessing her options.
If the portal had glitched, could the system still work in this realm?
She couldn’t risk calling for assistance, not with these creatures watching her every move.
She would have to rely on her own skills.
Another laugh echoed through the dungeon, this one high-pitched and grating.
“So determined to kill her, all of you… as if she’s worth the trouble.
She’s only one mortal!
She doesn’t even know who we are, what we control.” The voices murmured in agreent, so dismissive, others still wary.
Su Jiyai felt their attention zero in on her, like the weight of a hundred stares from creatures both ancient and unrciful.
“She won’t be a threat to us,” a new voice argued, “If we kill every mortal who stumbles near our affairs, we’ll draw too much attention.
Better to let her go.” But the icy voice that had spoken earlier cut through their bickering.
“We’re beyond mortal concerns.
Eliminate the possibility of danger.
Eliminate her.” Su Jiyai didn’t wait for another attack.
She darted to the side, dodging the exact spot where a dark, glinting spike suddenly slamd into the ground.
She barely had ti to catch her breath before another attack, a jagged spear of shadowy energy, shot out from the darkness toward her.
She twisted away, the weapon grazing her arm and searing with a burning cold as she dodged.
“Persistent, isn’t she?” one of the voices sneered.
“Perhaps we were too lenient,” said another, its tone contemplative and dark.
“A quick death would be a rcy.
Let’s see how long she can survive…” Su Jiyai’s heart skipped a beat.
There was no way she could fight creatures in another dinsion—she was like a fly under glass, trapped and exposed.
She forced herself to remain calm, trying to piece together a strategy.
Yet as a human, for so reason, she felt as if…her death was nearing.
It was a strange feeling…
an instinct she never knew existed in her.
‘Calm down!
Think of what you can do!’ Su Jiyai thought.
Suddenly an idea appeared in her mind.
She didn’t know whether it would work or not but it was worth a try.
Su Jiyai raised her hand and shouted, “Portal!”
