Chapter 118: Chapter 118: Food Preference Chapter 118: Chapter 118: Food Preference Liu Feng, Wang Yi, Sun Hao, and Zhang Ping stood up with disappointnt in their heart.

But due to their years of training, they hurriedly hid their disappointnt.

“Then we will leave.

After all once it is night it will be difficult even for us to return.” Liu Feng said in a business-like tone.

“Mr.

Liu please wait.

I haven’t finished my words yet.

We will continue this eting tomorrow morning at 10 am.” Su Jiyai said.

Wang Yi who was simplest of all frowned, “Boss Su, you are making things difficult for us.

If we level now, we will reach our base by 1 pm in the night.

In order to reach here by 10 am in the morning tomorrow, we will hardly have any rest.” “Wang Yi.” Liu Feng called his na to stop him but Wang Yi only lowered his head and said nothing.

Even though the military had a lot of influence, the truth was it was on the verge of collapse.

Before Su Jiyai they had already contacted other bases.

But each ti either they were kicked out, insulted, or treated unfairly.

So of the bases even reduced the price ridiculously.

They offered 10 kg of rice per 1000 square ters.

There were even tis when the discussion lasted 2 to 3 months but no satisfactory result was obtained.

Each ti the discussion fell through, their belief in the base leaders fell even more.

They beca even more wary.

Now hearing Su Jiyai’s words they thought Su Jiyai was like those base leaders too…

Hence Wang Yi couldn’t control himself and said those words.

“I can understand that you are frustrated Mr.

Wang, but I wasn’t the one who is the sole reason for your frustration.” Su Jiyai’s voice sounded a bit cold this ti.

Wang Yi gritted his teeth and said in a forced tone, “I am sorry.” “I hope you will not repeat this mistake, Mr.

Wang.

Now coming back to our discussion.

What I ant was, that I have arranged rooms for everyone.

You all are free to explore the base and visit the supermarket too.

I insist that you all explore the base as it will give you more idea about what I can offer.” Su Jiyai’s words surprised Liu Feng and the other soldiers.

So Boss Su Just wanted them to explore more options rather than scamming them?

This explains why Boss Su fixed the eting to 6 pm.

This also explains why she said that the eting shouldn’t be continued right away.

Now they understood that when Su Jiyai said she would sincerely cooperate with them, she wasn’t making empty promises.

Suddenly they felt the negotiation this ti might truly succeed.

“My receptionist will lead you all to your room.

Have a good night and discuss properly before making any decision.

There is a phone in each room you can communicate with your family mbers too.” Su Jiyai explained.

A small smile appeared on Liu Feng’s face and he said in a slightly softened tone, “Sure.

Thank you for your hospitality.” “My pleasure.” Yuan Xin enters the conference room and motions the four military officers to follow him.

Yuan Xin led them through a clean, well-lit corridor.

Unlike many other bases that had descended into disrepair, this one seed impeccably maintained.

The hallways were spotless, and the walls were adorned with maps and base rules.

As they approached the building where they would be staying, Yuan Xin spoke with a polite yet warm tone.

“Gentlen, we have arranged single-bedroom rooms for each of you.

The rooms include a living area, a private bathroom, and communication facilities.

I hope you find them comfortable.” When the officers entered the building, they were greeted by an unexpectedly luxurious sight.

Each of them was handed a key to their respective rooms, and Yuan Xin gestured for them to open their doors.

Liu Feng, being the first to unlock his door, was the first to experience the shock.

The room was nothing like the small, damp quarters he had slept in during past negotiations with other base leaders.

Instead, the space before him resembled sothing out of the pre-apocalypse world, almost as if untouched by the chaos outside.

The room was spacious, with a clean, polished hardwood floor that glead under soft, warm lighting.

A large, comfortable bed with neatly arranged pillows and crisp white sheets dominated one side of the room.

The adjoining living room was equally impressive, with a soft couch, a small dining table, and a kitchenette equipped with basic cooking supplies.

On one side of the room was a telephone likely ant for communication.

There was also a television.

The private bathroom was pristine, with a shower, sink, and mirror that looked as if they had been cleaned ticulously.

Fresh towels were hung neatly on a rack, and small toiletries, including soap, shampoo, and toothpaste, were thoughtfully provided.

In a world where cleanliness and hygiene had beco a luxury, this was far beyond what any of the officers had expected.

Sun Hao, walking into his room next, let out an incredulous whistle.

“Well, I wasn’t expecting this.

Not after what we’ve been through at other bases.” Wang Yi, who had been the most openly frustrated during the earlier discussion with Su Jiyai, was montarily speechless as he stepped into his room.

“This is…

not what I thought we’d get,” he finally muttered, eyes wide with surprise.

Zhang Ping, the quietest of the group, nodded in agreent.

“She’s certainly making a strong impression.” Yuan Xin, having seen their reactions, smiled slightly before asking, “Is everything to your satisfaction?

If you need anything else, don’t hesitate to let know.” Liu Feng, ever the professional, quickly regained his composure.

“The rooms are more than satisfactory.

Thank you for your assistance.” Yuan Xin then asked the officers a simple yet considerate question: “Do any of you have any allergies or food preferences?

We’ll be providing dinner shortly.” Wang Yi, still stunned by the room, blinked in surprise.

“Food preferences?”
