At 6 AM, Lin Xian and Ding Junyi were still awake, having spent the night monitoring the energy dispersion phenonon of Hell’s Black Chrysanthemum.

The convoy mbers on duty had already woken up. Shu Qin, Daluo, and the others were preparing for departure, and it seed like everyone had slept well—spirits were high.

Ding Junyi had already dressed. She remained in Car No. 3, watching over the changes in Hell’s Black Chrysanthemum, while Lin Xian stayed in Car No. 1, observing the Eerie Cube.

Among all the team mbers, his ability to convert energy through the Eerie Cube provided the clearest insight into these changes.

[Non-chanical energy converted. 200 chanical Source Points.]

[Beep! Reflective scan in progress using non-chanical energy.]

[Scan complete. No fear-related threats detected inside the train. Dark energy infiltration blocked.]

After obtaining another 200 chanical Source Points, the Eerie Cube finally stopped converting energy. Lin Xian imdiately walked through the train, following the dim glow, and only when he reached Car No. 3 did he notice the light had completely faded.

At the sa ti, Ding Junyi looked up at him. "It’s stopped."

Lin Xian nodded. "Yeah."

"You guys didn’t sleep at all?"

At that mont, KIKI floated into Car No. 3, a toothbrush still in her mouth. She was lazily flying through the air when she noticed the two still working and couldn’t help but ask, "What’s up? Did that flower start acting up again?"

Lin Xian and Ding Junyi both turned to look at her.

"Hey, kid, how do you feel?" Lin Xian asked seriously.

"Huh?"

KIKI looked confused. "Feel? Feel what?"

"Your ability—do you notice any changes?" Lin Xian clarified.

"My ability?" KIKI frowned, rolling her eyes up in thought before stretching her neck. "Hmm... not really. I just slept super well. Feel totally refreshed."

Lin Xian and Ding Junyi exchanged glances. Ding Junyi adjusted her glasses and said quietly, "I’ll do a full health check on the crew. If this happens again, we might start seeing changes after a few more occurrences."

"What, what, what are you guys talking about?" KIKI asked, puzzled.

Lin Xian exhaled. "Nothing. The sun’s coming up soon—get ready. We’re heading for Hengshan Pass."

He didn’t want to announce anything prematurely.

If Hell’s Black Chrysanthemum truly had the ability to enhance everyone’s abilities, its value would be imasurable. Looking back, the Federation’s extre focus on Blood Scourge Flora No. 01 probably wasn’t without reason.

That thought piqued Lin Xian’s curiosity about the other Blood Scourge Flora. These plants were rumored to grow in Polar Night Zones—perhaps he’d have a chance to search for them in the future.

"Tch—"

KIKI clicked her tongue. "Got it, boss."

anwhile, in another carriage...

Chen Sixuan had already woken up and was finishing the supply inventory from last night.

Lin Xian took a deep breath and turned to her. "How’s the count?"

"About what you expected."

She sat down and flipped open the logbook. "We’re running low on food, and dical supplies are also starting to dwindle. A few team mbers got minor injuries yesterday, and since that town had parasites, I took out so antibiotics and anti-inflammatory ds. Rough estimate: if we maintain two als a day, we have enough food for about 15 days—at best, 20 days if we really ration it."

"We’ve got more people now. Can’t be helped." Lin Xian nodded. "We picked up a decent amount from the Fireline Convoy, but there wasn’t much in Rain Town. Food shortages are a problem for every convoy."

With the team growing, basic survival was no longer as simple as when he was traveling with just four or five people.

"It’s fine. Hengshan Pass is a major transport hub. There should be plenty of survivor convoys there. We’ve got weapons and Eerie Blood Crystals—we can trade for supplies in advance."

Right now, they had a strong fighting force, and as the saying went, food is power. To deal with future crises, he couldn’t just aim for basic survival—fighters like Daluo needed proper als to stay at their best.

"Another issue is dical care. We need to get a dical carriage or at least an automated dical pod. Even a doctor would be better than nothing. We can’t just rely on antibiotics and bandages forever."

"Yeah, we need to prioritize that," Chen Sixuan agreed.

She had discussed the matter with Shu Qin—no one on board had professional dical or nursing expertise. Their current treatnt thod was basically disinfect, bandage, hope for the best.

Despite everything, the night had been peaceful. Not only did they sleep well, but everyone also woke up feeling exceptionally energized, as if their bodies were brimming with strength.

By sunrise, Car No. 2, the information center, had beco their eting spot for planning and communication.

Before setting off, Lin Xian gathered all key team mbers, monitoring both Federation radio broadcasts and survivor frequency updates while discussing their next steps.

Federation Radio – Yunjiang Plains Sector:

"The S-Class Eerie Entity from Parma Grasslands has been officially designated as Biological Entity No. 17. Current movent: southwest..."

Survivor Broadcasts:

"We provide a safe shelter. If you're still alive, contact us anyti. We are the Steel Guardian Alliance. We accept all survivors—n, won, ability users, and ordinary people. Together, we will endure and gather supplies. We guarantee two crackers and 100g of dried rat at per day, plus one can of food per week. We are based at Hengshan Pass, Longshan District Police Headquarters, and will be departing for the Phoenix Dawn Center in six days. We await you..."

"The Akatsuki Organization is recruiting ability users—ONLY ability users. Once you join, you are our brother for life. Standard uniform provided. One can of food per day. If you're one of us, co to Shibai Lake, east shore, marked by red maple trees!"

"The Fortune Caravan is open for trade. We offer: Eerie Blood Crystals, Soul Wave Detectors, Water Purifiers, Weapons, Ammunition, Food, dicine, Vehicle Equipnt, Generators, Gasoline—whatever you need, we have it. Accepting all valuable trade items. Location..."

"Whoa... even ability users only get one can of food per day now? Is food supply really this tight?" KIKI asked in surprise.

"Actually..." Shu Qin’s expression grew complex. "That’s... pretty normal. If you’re getting crackers and dried rat at daily, that’s already a decent protein intake."

Lin Xian frowned. "What about your old convoy? Were you guys also eating dried rat at every day?"

Shu Qin nodded. "Dried rat at is actually one of the best at sources. We also had lizard jerky, dried insects, and other creatures that weren’t infected by the darkness. Whenever we found those, we stored them up. Canned food was extrely precious—we only distributed it once a week, usually to the injured."

"Food and water are constant struggles. Survivors have fought to the death over a single crate of canned food before." Shu Qin looked at Lin Xian aningfully. "That’s why… last night’s feast felt like we were on a paradise train."
