Compared to the Infinite Train with its re nine carriages, the two Doomsday Trains ahead could only be described as railway behemoths.

The first train was a massive, double-decked steel fortress, stretching over a kiloter long with fifty to sixty carriages. It was driven by six Intercontinental-Class Nuclear Electric Locomotives at the front, each locomotive itself a colossal war machine. The entire train was wrapped in welded steel armor, with various colors and patterns covering its exterior.

Its interior lights glowed brightly, illuminating its many carriages like a moving double-decker city.

The second train, however, left even Lin Xian in awe.

A silver titan—the Eternal-Class Train, Silver Star—stretched across the Spaceport platform like a tallic dragon.

Unlike the first train’s patched armor and rugged build, the Silver Star had a sleek, uniform silver design, spanning over a hundred carriages. Mounted along its front, rear, and mid-sections were four electromagnetic railguns, making it look like sothing straight out of a sci-fi movie.

Even without asking, Lin Xian knew—

This was Old Mo’s rumored Doomsday Train from Sun City—the Silver Star, operated by the Fenger Group, housing over three thousand survivors!

And the double-decked steel fortress beside it? That had to be Dragon Mountain City’s legendary "Dragon Mountain No. 1."

“Whoa… that’s a long train!”

Shasha leaned over the control panel, her eyes wide in amazent.

Chen Sixuan glanced at Lin Xian, sighing in admiration.

"You were right. We’re not the only ones escaping to the Orbital Rail on a train.”

"Of course not," Lin Xian nodded calmly. "With such a developed railway system, it’s only natural that people would use it to survive."

Clang. Clang.

Approaching the Spaceport

The Infinite Train rumbled forward, approaching the Spaceport gates.

Below the elevated tracks, an ocean of zombies sward toward the fortified walls, their grotesque figures illuminated by floodlights.

Ratatatatata!

Gunfire erupted from the high walls—automatic turret towers unleashed a relentless barrage, mowing down the crawling undead.

Among the zombie horde, twisted mutant creatures—giant centipedes, towering aberrations—smashed against the fortifications, shaking the steel barriers.

“They won’t hold out much longer,” Lin Xian observed grimly.

"If they don’t close the Spaceport soon, the whole place is gonna fall," he muttered.

Beep! Beep! Beep!

The radio communicator crackled to life.

"KH5580, this is Spaceport Tower. Reduce speed and identify yourself!"

KH5580.

That was the old military designation for the Whale 03E Heavy Gas Turbine Locomotive—its original service number before being repurposed into the Infinite Train.

Hearing the call, Lin Xian imdiately responded.

"Spaceport Tower, this is Infinite Train. We have over two hundred survivors requesting access to the Aerial Corridor."

Beep.

"Infinite Train, co to a full stop and prepare for inspection."

"...Inspection?"

Chen Sixuan frowned. "Are they boarding us?"

Beep.

Just as Lin Xian was preparing for potential trouble, the radio crackled again.

"KH5580 - Infinite Train, you are cleared for entry via Gate D. Please wait for an available Climbing Elevator."

KIKI blinked. "Wait… weren’t they about to inspect us? Why did they just let us in?"

"They probably don’t have the manpower to inspect us right now," Shasha guessed.

"Let’s not question it. Just go."

"Understood."

Lin Xian pressed the acknowledge button, then restarted the train, guiding it into the Spaceport.

Entering the Spaceport

Rumble~

A massive steel gate slowly opened, revealing dozens of heavily ard soldiers from the Iron Guard Brigade standing in formation.

Their weapons were not ordinary rifles—these were heavy-duty military firearms, assisted by powered exoskeletons and night-vision helts, their expressions sharp and vigilant.

A stern-faced officer stepped forward, scanning the train before shifting his gaze to the convoy behind it.

"Any injured in your group?" he asked. "We can provide dical support."

Lin Xian responded imdiately.

"There are casualties in the convoy behind us," he said. "So were injured while escaping the Sky Jellyfish.”

"Understood."

The officer turned to his radio.

"D Platform has wounded survivors. Dispatch a dical team imdiately."

Lin Xian and Chen Sixuan exchanged glances.

For the first ti in a long while, soone was offering help.

A gesture of humanity in the apocalypse.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

From the high platforms, CIWS turrets tracked incoming threats, sporadically firing into the night.

Tracer rounds streaked across the sky, cutting through the darkness.

In the gate passage, twelve automated turrets locked onto every heat signature as the convoy entered the platform, while Iron Guard soldiers scanned for hostile threats.

The atmosphere was tense.

Behind them, Shu Qin, Old Mo, and Xu Jin’s convoy followed closely, their nerves taut.

As the searchlights swept over the Infinite Train, countless survivors turned their gazes toward them.

"First ti seeing this many people after so long..."

Xu Jin’s voice crackled through the radio.

"Having this many people isn’t necessarily a good thing," Shu Qin muttered.

"Didn’t you see how insane those monsters are outside? If the defenses collapse, this place will turn into a buffet for them."

"Man… haven’t been here in years."

Old Mo chuckled.

"But damn, this place looks completely different now."

His tone grew serious.

"...Looks like only one Climbing Elevator is operational."

"The Silver Star arrived hours ago—why hasn’t it entered the ascent sequence yet?"

Aboard the Infinite Train, Lin Xian stared up at the Aerial Corridor, deep in thought.

"All of these trains—including ours—should be able to use the Horizon Clamp System to ascend," he mused.

"But… the Spaceport Command Tower doesn’t seem interested in opening more routes."

"They’re probably worried about chaos and elevator crashes," Chen Sixuan speculated, her expression tense.

"The Spaceport doesn’t have enough personnel or maintenance equipnt. And with all these modified trains and vehicles, if they force an ascent without proper safety asures, the tracks could fail, or worse… the elevators could collapse. If that happens, the entire Climbing Passage is finished."

Lin Xian nodded.

That made sense.

Decades ago, trains ascended via Horizon Clamps and electromagnetic acceleration, using raw power to blast into orbit.

The Whale 03E’s turbines were even designed for this.

But over the years, brute-force ascents had been replaced by safer, controlled elevators.

"The Iron Guard Brigade looks like they've taken serious losses," Chen Sixuan observed.

Her sharp eyes caught the battle-worn soldiers, their armor stained with blood, so even scorched from intense combat.

"In the valley, they probably lost an entire regint’s worth of weapons," KIKI added grimly.

"And even a full military brigade couldn’t hold their ground. Now, they’re just running and trying to survive."

Clang. Clang.

The Infinite Train switched tracks, entering the Spaceport platform, flanked by the two massive Doom Trains—

The Silver Star on the left,

The Dragon Mountain No. 1 on the right.

And as the Infinite Train rolled past—

Thousands of survivors aboard the other trains turned their heads—

Watching. Wondering.

Who was this mysterious armored train racing into the future?
