The pharmaceutical laboratory, in a dim and gloomy basent.

The warriors, already tense, suddenly heard a buzzing sound.

In an instant, they reflexively raised their weapons, watching their surroundings warily.

Louis quickly explained loudly, "Don’t worry, it’s just the ventilation system starting up, the dust inside has accumulated too much, and soon the sound will gradually get smaller."

"I still feel uneasy in this place." Solomon slowly lowered his raised sword, but his expression remained very cautious.

"What did you find, lanie?"

"Boss, I’ve searched most places in the building. There are about fifteen zombies, but on the fifth floor... there seems to be so anomaly..." lanie’s voice carried a hint of seriousness.

"What anomaly?"

"I saw an unidentified creature in a container, and... I think it’s still alive."

"Don’t tell it’s big and dangerous..."

"No, boss, it’s small, about the size of a cat. But it looks like a big piece of at with blood vessels—"

Before lanie could finish her sentence, she let out a scream, clearly having seen sothing frightening through the cara and was quite scared.

Lin Yi turned to look at old Mark: "Professor, what’s on the fifth floor?"

"I don’t know, I’ve never had access to the fifth floor, but I’ve heard rumors about strange experints there..."

The professor said, falling into thought.

Lin Yi waved his hand, leading the group out of the basent.

On the way, he glanced at old Mark: "Do you think there might be so terrifying artificial existence on the fifth floor, ready to eat us as soon as we enter?"

"You’re exaggerating, with the pre-apocalyptic technology level, it’s hard to create such a creature."

However, Lin Yi still keenly detected a hint of self-doubt in his voice...

This situation made Lin Yi very alert, as he never underestimated any knowledgeable people.

When the group reached the first floor, Lin Yi teleported everyone back to the shelter, deciding to enter alone.

"Boss, there are three zombies on the first floor, they’re in the third office on the left..."

Following lanie’s instructions, Lin Yi first cleared out the zombies and then began scouring the first floor.

However, it was mostly offices here, and after a careful search, nothing of value was found.

But when he reached the second floor, it beca much more interesting.

White floors, white walls, white ceilings... even the doors were white.

There were several places with dried bloodstains and human remains, like a few drops of red paint fallen on a white canvas.

"Boss, there are nine zombies in total, three are la, and one can crawl, they’re all..." lanie reported the zombies’ positions and numbers again.

Lin Yi easily cleared this floor.

The second floor, as an area for dical observation and drug testing, was filled with dical equipnt.

Lin Yi carefully teleported them back to the shelter, fearing any damage to the equipnt.

During the search, Lin Yi also found a lot of drugs. Unfortunately, most of them were expired and ineffective, losing their original dicinal value.

However, this trip was not without gains; he also found a large number of disposable items like syringes, gloves, masks, etc.

Reaching the third floor.

It was divided into four sections, with many doors and glass walls, most of which were semi-transparent.

The environnt here was extrely filthy, with a layer of unknown substances covering the floor and walls, looking like a mix of sli and feces.

It seed so creature has been living here for a long ti!?

Zombies? But do they poop?

Lin Yi rubbed his chin, musing silently.

Bam!

"Awooo!"

"Whoa!"

A loud noise shattered the dead silence, Lin Yi shouted, instinctively jumping away from the glass door.

A zombie suddenly crashed through the glass from the other side.

Crash!

With the shattering of glass, Lin Yi saw the zombie’s appearance clearly and was sure he would have nightmares for days.

It was a zombie gorilla!

Its skin was a sickly gray-blue, like bloated rotten flesh dangling loosely on the skeleton, as if it could be peeled off with a slight tug.

On its face, mold spread like clumps of eerie black fuzz, proliferating ruthlessly.

The mold was nearly ink-colored, with a nauseating yellow-green at the edges.

The surface of the mold was covered with tiny filants, gently swaying with each breath the zombie took, like living appendages.

Its eyes were deeply sunken into their sockets, its original eyeballs eroded to re hollow pits.

Black mucus dripped from the eye sockets, trickling down its cheeks, dripping to the floor.

Making a "drip-drip" sound...

Lin Yi warily eyed the zombie gorilla, realizing coming here was a huge mistake!

The monstrous figure before him, nearly five ters tall, looked unnervingly strong, perhaps the "human terminator."

Lin Yi slowly retreated, preparing to head downstairs.

"Oh oh ah ah!" The zombie gorilla suddenly let out a piercing shriek, its voice sharp and grating.

Boom boom boom!

In the next mont, three more zombie gorillas crashed down from the ceiling, each over four ters tall, two of them even wielding one-handed swords.

Clearly, they had hunted professionals before!

Seeing the gorilla zombies ferociously trying to pounce, Lin Yi wasted no ti, swiftly pulling out a heavy machine gun, unleashing a powerful barrage upon them.

Rat-a-tat-tat-tat-tat!

The rapid bullets poured like rain, causing the gorilla zombies to wail in agony.

However, these creatures were remarkably agile, jumping from wall to wall, evading bullets while constantly trying to close in on Lin Yi.

Lin Yi fought while retreating, having no ti to reload, switching to another machine gun as soon as one magazine was exhausted to continue shooting.

He wasn’t blindly spraying bullets; he cunningly retreated to a long and narrow hallway.

Using the space to restrict the gorilla zombies’ movents, then aid for their weak spots for precise shooting.

"With such fierce firepower, even a little Superman would’ve been taken down!"

Soon, one zombie gorilla took several fatal shots, fell heavily from the ceiling, but continued twitching and struggling on the ground.

Another one was also seriously wounded, screaming in pain, leaving a long trail of blood behind, still desperately trying to crawl towards Lin Yi.

Apart from these two zombie gorillas, there were two more.

The seemingly leader five-ter-tall zombie gorilla never attacked.

It kept staring at Lin Yi with its hollow eye sockets, its gaze revealing an untold strangeness.

A mont later, a shocking scene occurred!

The leader zombie gorilla unexpectedly twisted off another gorilla zombie’s head, throwing it at Lin Yi’s feet.

Then, it turned and disappeared into the darkness...

Lin Yi was stunned by this!

He had never seen any zombie suppressing its nature, abandoning humans as such a delicacy.

Just like the two zombie gorillas before him, they were near death, yet still struggled to crawl towards him.

What... exactly are you!?
