Martha was a Russian girl, petite and delicate, with golden hair casually draped over her shoulders.

She had a pinkish oval face, her skin was as white as snow, so smooth it was impossible to find a single flaw.

Martha proposed that she wanted to replace Lin Yi in the task of "waking" the boss.

Chen Youyou responded with a smile, "I do it willingly, I just... hope the boss can start every day full of vitality... I must go now, could you watch the stewed potatoes for , okay?"

"Okay, Sister Youyou."

Half an hour later.

Lin Yi was successfully woken up.

After that, everyone sat together for breakfast, which included potatoes with skins, tea, and biscuits.

"Da Chuan, Louis, today we need to go to the Louvre for a trade. Pack the potatoes into a few backpacks, each carrying 90 pounds."

"Got it, boss," the two imdiately responded.

"Ladies, today I’m giving you a day off, take a good rest. Tomorrow I’ll buy four plots of land, and then we’ll work hard together!"

"That’s great, boss!" the girls cheered excitedly.

After breakfast, old Mark approached Lin Yi.

This biologist rarely sought him out on his own, so he must have discovered sothing new this ti.

"Do you have any news to tell ?" Lin Yi put down the book he was holding and poured him a cup of tea.

"I found two drugs in the files of the Rebirth Project. One of them is called LL-0B1, it’s particularly rare, and seems to have very high test value in so aspect."

The professor said as he handed Lin Yi a note with the nas of the two drugs written on it.

Lin Yi nodded, indicating he would keep an eye out for them.

Then, he went with Da Chuan, Louis, and the potatoes ready for trade.

After carefully checking the residential building’s resting point, they left the shelter and headed for the trading market at the Louvre.

This trade went exceptionally smoothly, the rchant simply weighed the goods and handed 400 coins to Lin Yi.

"Here are your coins." The rchant bead, looking much better than before. Clearly, the previous 90 pounds of potatoes sold quite well.

"I need your help, I’m looking for two drugs called ZLL-0B1 and Apulin Z-10. If you can find them, I won’t treat you poorly."

"I’ve never heard of these two drugs before, but I’ll ask around." The rchant said, while noting down the nas in his notebook.

After the transaction ended, Lin Yi didn’t rush back, but instead went with Da Chuan and Louis to a tavern on the first floor.

He knew well that part of the 90 pounds of potatoes sold last ti would end up here.

Sure enough, shortly after sitting down, Lin Yi saw two burly n not far away.

They were drinking cheap wine, eating boiled potatoes and canned tuna, chatting animatedly.

"Did you really trade coins for potatoes?" a middle-aged man drank half a glass of wine, full of doubt.

"These potatoes are not ordinary! Try them!" the other middle-aged man handed over the boiled potatoes in front of them.

He explained to his companion, "After eating them, you can quickly restore physical strength, wounds heal faster, and you can last a long ti without getting hungry."

"Nonsense! How can there be such magical potatoes?"

"Why don’t you try it?"

"Alright!" the middle-aged man drank all his wine in one gulp, biting into the potato, slowly savoring it.

In an instant, his eyes widened in amazent!

He couldn’t believe what he was seeing, holding a chunk of potato in his hand. Magical or not, the taste was simply fabulous.

"Brother, what is the price for these potatoes?" The middle-aged man who had tasted the potato asked eagerly.

"Two pounds of potatoes for five coins, you can buy them at the third rchant on the street."

"Wait here, I’m going to buy twenty pounds first."

Lin Yi stroked his chin, watching the middle-aged man, who was in a hurry, run out of the tavern, heading towards the street.

At that mont, Lin Yi understood. The rchants only took a ten percent profit, which was reasonable and helpful for long-term sales.

Lin Yi then returned with his team to the residential building near the Louvre. The door to this building was particularly strong, and only he had the key.

As a result, it had practically beco his fixed resting place.

However, when Lin Yi returned to the shelter.

A large group of people appeared, surrounded the building in the blink of an eye!

At the front of the crowd, a man dressed in camouflage clothes with closed eyes said, "He went in!"

It was obvious he was using a skill, beads of sweat covered his forehead, his expression tense, fully concentrated.

"There’s nothing in that building, not even a zombie. Are you sure your skill didn’t fail?" another man in camouflage asked.

He held a modern assault rifle with a scope, which he was using as a telescope.

The first man opened his eyes, "I don’t know! He might possess so disguise skills."

"Then continue the ambush. Number one, number six, move into that building and take a favorable position. Report anything imdiately."

"Yes, sir."

"Yes, sir."

Inside the shelter.

Lin Yi clicked the purchase button.

A special field of dium size instantly appeared by the pond.

In the following days, life was uneventful.

Lin Yi read books and relaxed while others worked in the fields, exhausted and sore.

In the morning, Lin Yi would leave to sell potatoes, while others harvested crops and planted new ones.

When the harvest ended, Lin Yi’s "farrs" had gathered a full 2 tons of potatoes!

By this ti, the shelter had a total of 420 square ters of potato planting fields,

but Lin Yi wasn’t satisfied, spending another 400 coins to buy a dium-sized field.

For these thirteen people, managing nearly 500 square ters of fields every day was truly arduous.

His "good employees" weren’t exactly thrilled about it.

After all, this was a special field. Despite its modest size, the whole process of sowing, fertilizing, and harvest needed to be completed within three days.

And it required a cycle every three days.

Thankfully, Lin Yi, the "foreman," expressed that he wouldn’t increase the fields anyti soon, and everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

On this day, after selling so potatoes, Lin Yi didn’t imdiately return to the base.

Following a lead from the girls, he set out to find another survivor camp —

Sacred Heart Cathedral!

This camp was not on good terms with the Louvre.

Because the Louvre considered itself the sole official authority representative of Paris, but this camp totally disregarded them, refusing to follow their orders.

Still, Lin Yi decided to take the risk and visit the camp.

As he got further from the Louvre, zombies beca more frequent, and their numbers increased.

Seeing six sluggish zombies gathered together ahead, Lin Yi didn’t want to waste energy on them and planned to avoid them altogether.

Just as he brushed past them, one zombie suddenly lashed out with its claws.

It was disguised!?

This zombie was incredibly fast, tearing Lin Yi’s T-shirt to shreds with one swipe.

If Lin Yi hadn’t dodged in ti, his chest would have been torn open.

It seed these creatures were continuously evolving!

Lin Yi quickly drew his one-handed sword, slicing off its head. But then, three more zombies were attracted by the sounds of fighting.

Not wanting to get entangled, Lin Yi sped up, running down the sidewalk.

After running about half a mile, Lin Yi suddenly stopped, hiding behind a vehicle.

Looking ahead, there was a whole group of zombies not far off — at least a thousand of them!
