Sun Ark, Survivors’ Cave.
The Child of the Sun, Suo Ali, smiled bitterly.
"We can’t hold on any longer..."
He looked at the top of the cave, then at the civilians, and finally at his own chest.
With a deep sigh.
"I can’t believe our race is about to go extinct, our people and our ho planet will be forgotten, all because of my arrogance..."
This once proud ruler now looked utterly downtrodden and pitiful.
His golden clothes had been torn to shreds, revealing his pale body.
The bandaged wound on his chest was still bleeding.
He had lost his crown, along with his arrogance.
His hair was soaked with sweat and blood, standing ssily like a street wanderer’s.
An officer asked anxiously, "But... Your Highness... what should we do?"
"Die with dignity! What else can we do?" Suo Ali laughed maniacally, wiping the blood from his mouth.
"We’re a warrior race; if we must die, let it be in battle!"
He tried to stand, preferring to face death at the front lines rather than bleed out under others’ protection.
He kept thinking about an ancient saying —
"The sun guides the brave; the sand buries the weak."
Suddenly, a series of explosions shook the tunnel, cutting through the twenty mutant zombies breaching the defense line with hundreds of red beams.
A second later, a tallic device flew overhead, ridden by a humanoid figure.
Lin Yi jumped off the "Dagger" motorcycle.
He didn’t remove his helt but quickly surveyed the surroundings.
After a mont, he found the person.
This was the Child of the Sun?
He was hardly recognizable from the radiant lord in the visions; where was his crown?
At this point, a warrior roared,
"Stop! Who are you?!"
Quickly, other soldiers reacted, rapidly surrounding Lin Yi.
These soldiers were in a pitiable state; many were injured, their wounds crudely bandaged, with bite marks and missing flesh clearly visible.
Lin Yi smiled and was just about to speak, but the Child of the Sun interrupted him.
"Enough! He’s here to see !"
"Yes, Your Highness!"
The soldiers hesitated but didn’t dare disobey the lord’s orders and retreated.
The Child of the Sun struggled to stand, looking at this invader who had turned the tables.
"You... want to say sothing? I—"
"I don’t have much ti, and you need to decide quickly. Surrender to , and I’ll save everyone."
Lin Yi interrupted him, waving his hand.
[Warning! Lord of Space-Ti Lin Yi!]
[You have been commanded to accept a complete surrender!]
[Surrender Conditions]:
The victor will take over your Ark.
All your Coins will be transferred to the victor.
You and your subjects will beco the victor’s spoils.
All of your property will beco the victor’s.
[The victor promises the following]:
You and all your subjects will be relocated to a safe place.
No abuse, a life proportional to your effort.
Wounded will receive dical treatnt.
[Do you accept?]
"Hahaha! I understand! Tell , Lord Lin Yi, if I agree, what fate will my people face?"
The Child of the Sun said aloud.
Then... he fell to the ground, not to show submission but because his legs could no longer support him... his life had only seconds remaining.
Lin Yi removed his helt, his expression stern, hard to ignore by those around him.
"No abuse, a life proportional to your effort. Work hard, and you can live well."
"I understand... thank you, I agree."
With his last strength, the Child of Jade Sun spoke, then lost consciousness with a smile.
He could finally die in peace now, or so he intended...
Ignoring the countless notifications popping up, Lin Yi leapt to Suo Ali’s side, injected him with dicine for severe injuries, and sprayed ergency dical spray.
After all that, he focused his attention on Da Chuan, the giant dragon fighting desperately against the evolved zombies.
The zombie horde had climbed onto the palace roof, continually attacking it, while his Magic Power was nearly depleted.
The "offensive reconnaissance" squad held the city gates, easily repelling a large group of First-Level zombies.
Most of the bait was destroyed, and nearly all zombies in the city were divided into three groups.
The first group headed towards the giant dragon, the second group towards the city gate, and the third group rushed to the cave.
In an instant, the dragon disappeared, along with the people, vehicles, intact bait, and the abandoned truck at the city gate.
"Danger... Run... Quickly..."
In Lin Yi’s heart, once again a feeling of impending doom enveloped him, leaving him sowhat confused.
He’s already won, those zombies are nothing to fear, and the Sun Ark is now his.
But what exactly happened?
Suddenly, the entire ark started to shake.
"Damn!"
Lin Yi shouted, quickly teleporting all the survivors and conscious beings on the Sun Ark back to the shelter.
He didn’t have ti to be selective, so he grabbed everything that was alive and not a zombie.
[Alert!]
[The ark of the Child of the Sun that you just conquered is being invaded by a ti-space demon!]
[Until the demon is completely eliminated, all functions of the ark will be locked!]
This ssage gave Lin Yi a headache.
He focused his attention on the Sun Ark.
He saw a massive wall of fog appear to the north, the fog began to darken, and then a terrifying giant face erged from the darkness.
The head was unimaginably large, as big as an adult white whale.
This was just a head; how big must the monster with such a head be?!
Lin Yi did not stay to watch the show, instead, he teleported to the rooftop of the main castle and jumped into the Space-Ti Beacon.
He needed to imdiately separate the shelter from this extrely dangerous fragnt of the Wandering Island!
It wasn’t difficult to do, but there were certain conditions—
No enemies along the border of the shelter.
The beacon reaching the Second Level.
Lin Yi satisfied these two conditions, the shelter began to shake again, and mist appeared at the borders.
He imdiately maneuvered the shelter, leaving the current region of the Sea of Space-Ti as quickly as possible.
During the flight of the shelter, he took a closer look at the Sun Ark.
He couldn’t help but take a sharp breath.
He saw a gigantic, finned creature bite towards the Sun Ark, attempting to swallow it whole.
To Lin Yi’s surprise, this monster, larger than a World War II aircraft carrier, was about to succeed.
Moreover, it was not acting alone; it was surrounded by a large group of black floating creatures that seed to rge with each other.
Each of them was incredibly large, and there were thousands of them.
This scene made Lin Yi reassess all his understanding of the Sea of Space-Ti...
To be honest, before this, he really didn’t take the Sea of Space-Ti seriously, thinking that’s all there was to it.
But now... he doubted whether he could successfully defeat that monster with his current strength...
When the Sun Ark finally disappeared from view, Lin Yi teleported to his "spoils of war."
He hadn’t had the chance to discuss new mbers, but Hubert had already guessed it and disard the Sun Soldiers, summoning dical personnel.
Currently, these new mbers were held as captives.
When Hubert saw Lin Yi, he ca running over.
"Boss! It seems things didn’t go entirely as planned, did they?"
"Indeed they didn’t, it was so sudden! So bizarre thing, as big as a cosmic aircraft carrier, started gnawing on the Sun Ark!"
Lin Yi pointed, shouting with his head in his hands.
"I barely managed to escape with the shelter intact... Adding new mbers, it looks like we need to expand again! Make sure those severely injured are well taken care of, I promised them..."
At this mont, Da Chuan ca over.
He looked very battered and was no longer floating.
He had many injuries, a hole in his right hand, had lost a few teeth, his left eye couldn’t open, and several ribs were broken.
He said pitifully that he needed to go to the hospital, Lin Yi laughed and agreed, telling him to rest well.
The Child of the Sun was also in the hospital, saved by the system-provided dicine, but without imdiate treatnt, he would eventually beco disabled.
There were too many severely injured patients, and the doctors had to wear Magic Armor to replenish their Magic Power with the Energy Core.
...
The Sun survivors humbly accepted their impending fate.
They knew that in this war, they had been defeated without even touching a single hair of the enemy.
Fortunately, as long as they surrendered to the victor, they would receive rescue and dical treatnt.
However, the Sun people were still very afraid... because their Sun Ark would occasionally attack other arks and sell the captives as slaves.
If the captives behind them belonged to a great race, they would redeem these people back to their kin.
But the Sun people were a small race, with no Great Ark behind them, no one to redeem them...
Upon arriving at this new fragnt, about an hour and a half later, they were all cramd together forcibly.
Moreover, they were surrounded by a large group of people holding weapons they had never seen before.
This made them even more frightened...
Lin Yi stood on an armored vehicle and shouted loudly through a gaphone.
"Alright, listen up! Everyone stay quiet!"
Once everyone quieted down, focusing all their attention on his words, Speaker Lin Yi continued.
"I saved your lives, although you were the invaders, you’ve paid a heavy price for it. Your forr lord is currently undergoing treatnt, so he cannot speak for you,
so I’m giving you one minute to choose soone to represent you. Please note, this is not a negotiation, but effective communication between the new lord and new mbers."
A minute later.
The representative chosen by the Sun people was surprisingly a ragged old man.
He walked with difficulty, using a cane made from an insect leg, and ca before Lin Yi.
The old man kneeled, bowing deeply.
"Great Lord Lin Yi, I do not know how to address you, if I offend you, please forgive ..."
