Human traces were still spread worldwide but stopped destroying the environnt.
Nature started to take the upper hand and even chased humans out of so regions.
Cold Bay Rainforest was such a location.
Unlike the Amazon, a flooded forest, the Cold Bay Rainforest was on plains.
In the past, due to the fertile soil, humans had started to develop this area. However, they started slightly later and focused on tourism and agriculture, which was why the destruction of its natural environnt was minimal.
After the apocalypse started, the plants and animals here started to mutate. The few humans and zombies were quickly cleared.
In the first one to two years, no one disturbed this place. Mutated animals and plants killed each other, reproducing and evolving.
This was until one day when an adventurer squad entered this area and saw recipe materials with a big market.
