Don’t be fooled by Sun Yao’s usually timid deanor, it seems Wang Fang has him firmly under control. But when it cos to monts of life and death, the family still has to listen to him. This ti, he was unusually clever, realizing that Qinghe News was too powerful to offend, so he planned to scapegoat the Li-nad reporter who was responsible for the initial interview.

Everyone else, after hearing his opinion, understood that they were no match for the bigger power and agreed. Then, the family of four discussed for a while, reached a consensus, and issued a public apology statent on their personal hopage, expressing that their nonsense during the interview was entirely under the pressure of the Li-nad reporter. They said they had no choice but to act that way, and now that they realized their mistake, they decided to publicly apologize to everyone and were willing to return the previous donations, hoping for forgiveness, and so forth.

It was unfortunate for the Li-nad reporter. He thought he had the Sun Yao family tightly controlled and was contemplating how to make them take the bla and clear his na. Little did he know that he would be severely undermined by the Sun Yao family!

Although the Sun Yao family were just insignificant small figures, the initial interview, followed by nurous slaps in the face from a Zhang-nad lawyer and video broadcasts, drew considerable attention to them. As soon as their statent was released, the internet was abuzz once again.

The news spread wildly, and the Li-nad reporter soon caught wind of it. He opened the webpage and saw the statent from the Sun Yao family, and was so furious that he nearly spat blood, his face turning as black as the bottom of a pot! He never expected the Sun Yao family, whom he had never paid much attention to, would strike back at him so viciously!

But by then, it was too late to regret. The Sun Yao family had issued their statent, directly shifting the bla onto him. Even though he was angry, he understood that now was not the ti to be mad; he had to do sothing to salvage his reputation!

Fortunately, he wasn’t entirely unprepared. The initial interview was contacted by Wang Fang on her own initiative, and he still had the recording of the call! The Sun Yao family wanted to make him a scapegoat? No chance!

He quickly found the call recording from back then and posted a heartbreaking statent on his personal hopage, declaring his innocence and stating he had been kept in the dark by the Sun Yao family until now, only to see their ugly true colors. Lastly, he posted the call recording as evidence.

As a reporter, he was sowhat of a minor celebrity in Qinghe City, and since he conducted the interview with Sun Yao’s family, the number of people paying attention to him had recently increased. Especially after the Sun Yao family’s statent assaulted him with a bucket of filth, even more people were now watching him to see how he would respond.

So as soon as his statent and the call recording ca out, the internet buzzed again with everyone discussing it, so saying he was duped by the Sun Yao family, so saying both sides were colluding and no good, and others expressing they couldn’t wait to see them betray each other—various opinions abounded.

Watching the various comnts online, the Li-nad reporter’s anger seethed within him. He almost wished he could directly curse at those people and silence them so they would no longer dare to slander him. But he knew in his heart that he was already walking on thin ice, and any slight mistake could spell the end for his reputation, leading to him being swept out by the company and losing his foothold in Qinghe City altogether!

So despite the seething anger in his heart, he forced himself to endure the burning rage, trying not to read the disparaging comnts online about himself, closely monitoring the developnt of this matter instead.

Then, the situation changed again almost imdiately. Not long after he sent out his recording, the Sun Yao family issued another statent, accusing him of making false accusations, and they also released a call recording.

The recording was one from a while back when the Li-nad reporter contacted Sun Yao, clearly docunting his questioning and warning to Sun Yao.

Hearing this recording, the Li-nad reporter, who had always thought he had the upper hand, truly panicked. He had completely forgotten that the other party could also record their call!

Now things were a ss. He had just released a statent declaring his innocence, only to be ruthlessly slapped in the face! At that mont, he didn’t even dare to look at how the internet would comnt on him now!

Just then, a colleague’s voice suddenly ca from behind him: "Li Yuan, Chief Editor Wang wants you in her office."

The voice was exceptionally cold, devoid of any warmth, and even carried a hint of schadenfreude! It’s laughable that not long ago, before things reversed, this person was still calling him "Brother Li" with the utmost respect!

See! Such is the fickle nature of the world!

At this mont, Li Yuan felt only disheartened and a strong sense of anger at being slighted! He gave the person a cold glance, and as he passed by, couldn’t help but lower his voice and say in the person’s ear, "Don’t get smug, this little trouble can’t bring down!"

Then he heard the person chuckle coldly, retorting impolitely, "Oh really? Well, I’ll be waiting to see that. Good luck, Brother Li."

This "Brother Li" carried no respect, just full of sarcasm!

Li Yuan’s body stiffened, and his fists clenched tightly. He was just itching to land a heavy punch on the person’s face. But thinking of his current situation, he forced himself to control this impulse. However, just as he was about to let it go, he heard the person scoff disdainfully!

In that instant, the string of "rationality" in Li Yuan’s mind snapped completely. His face turned ashen, and without hesitation, he turned around and swung his tightly clenched fist at that person’s face!

The person widened their eyes, seemingly not expecting the sudden punch, but their eyes clearly flickered with a quick trace of disdainful ridicule!

Li Yuan was montarily stunned, then quickly realized. He instinctively looked at the cara in the corner of the ceiling and then glared furiously at the colleague who had fallen to the ground, saying with extre anger, "You actually plotted against on purpose!"

This colleague was a sweet-looking girl who gave a particularly well-behaved impression. She was now lying on the ground, her left face swollen and bruised from the punch, looking quite horrific against her fair and delicate skin!

She covered her face, her eyes filled with tears, looking at Li Yuan with disbelief, sobbing, "Li... Brother Li? What... what’s wrong with you?"

By now, Li Yuan was incredibly angry. Who could have imagined the company would go to such lengths to clear themselves, arranging this entire setup for him to take the fall! Looking at the colleague’s face full of grievance and innocent charm, thinking about all the comnts online, his expression suddenly turned ferocious, and he casually picked up a stool beside him to smash it towards her face!

"How dare you plot against ! I’ll beat you, you shaless b*tch!" (To be continued. If you like this work, you’re welco to visit Qidian (qidian) to vote for recomndations, monthly tickets, your support is my biggest motivation. Mobile users, please read at m.qidian.)
