Tang Yiyi was handling things in an orderly manner, just waiting for the right ti to serve the dish. anwhile, Zhang Xue, who accidentally got distracted, overcooked the eggs, throwing off her entire process.
When Tang Yiyi turned her head to look, Zhang Xue’s scrambled eggs with tomatoes were already done, but the tomatoes were obviously undercooked and slightly raw, while the eggs were overcooked and even slightly scorched, clearly not looking presentable.
Zhang Xue was feeling nervous, and when Tang Yiyi turned to look, she beca even more flustered, her voice trembling: "I... I’m so clumsy, I can’t even make scrambled eggs with tomatoes right." She said this while frowning and looking at Tang Yiyi awkwardly.
Of course, Tang Yiyi wasn’t going to hold this small issue against Zhang Xue. To her, it was natural for Zhang Xue, who was learning to cook for the first ti, to be nervous.
She smiled lightly: "It’s nothing. Although the timing wasn’t quite right, considering it’s your first ti, you did quite well. But don’t waste the food. Go ahead and finish the other dishes. I’m right here, and you can ask if you don’t understand anything. Just don’t be nervous anymore."
Zhang Xue took a deep breath and sensed the encouragent in Tang Yiyi’s eyes, which cald her frantic heart. She glanced at the remaining ingredients and carefully recalled Tang Yiyi’s cooking steps, ensuring she hadn’t missed anything. Then she washed the pan and began preparing the next dish.
This ti, she was more composed, thodically mimicking Tang Yiyi’s steps to complete the dish, though her control over the timing and flavoring still needed improvent. These are skills to be honed personally, and aside from telling her so key points and things to watch out for, Tang Yiyi couldn’t really teach much else. Zhang Xue had to figure it out on her own slowly.
When Zhang Xue’s third dish was ready, the pot on Tang Yiyi’s side was also boiling, with small bubbles gurgling up. The extra steam, carrying a rich and enticing aroma, rushed out of the lid’s small opening, a scent far more fragrant than Zhang Xue’s side, driving people mad just by slling it.
In the pot was Red Fire Scorpion at, just a First Level, yet the at was imbued with a rich fire elent energy. Once its aroma wafted out, it was a deadly temptation for soone like Tang Yiyi, who had the Fire Ability, utterly irresistible. For Zhang Xue, a Wood Ability User with still unrecovered abilities, she couldn’t take in much fire elent energy, so she didn’t feel as strongly, feeling an instinctive repulsion instead.
But even so, the dense aroma from the pot was overwhelming! It was simply criminally tempting! Zhang Xue knew instinctively that what was in the pot wasn’t good for her, but that sll still made her want to have a taste! Even though doing so would be like drinking poison to quench thirst!
Tang Yiyi noticed Zhang Xue staring fixedly at the pot in front of her, clearly already distracted from cooking, and couldn’t help but remind her: "Your body hasn’t fully recovered. The pot is Red Fire Scorpion at, you can’t eat it."
Zhang Xue knew this and nodded, reluctantly tearing her gaze away after several long glances. Then, she looked at the already finished dishes on the cutting board, suddenly finding them all unappealing, lacking in appearance and aroma, and completely losing her appetite!
Luckily, Zhang Xue had been through tough tis and wouldn’t waste food. Despite having little appetite, she still carefully finished cooking the remaining dishes and hastily resolved her dinner with rice.
Initially, she felt her dishes weren’t good enough and didn’t want Zhang Haoyu to eat them. But as soon as she served them, Zhang Haoyu noticed. He had sharp eyes, imdiately realizing the dishes were unlike Tang Yiyi’s usual cooking. He suspiciously glanced at Tang Yiyi, then sniffed around Zhang Xue, quickly uncovering the truth.
Upon learning the dishes were made personally by Zhang Xue, even though they didn’t look impressive and couldn’t compare to what they usually had, Zhang Haoyu was still excited, his appetite aroused, firmly showing his support for Zhang Xue through action.
Pang Zhi wasn’t so lucky. When Tang Yiyi finished the Red Fire Scorpion and brought it out, the rich aroma dominantly filled the entire space. Pang Zhi, who was now able to walk around, caught a whiff of the aroma, his eyes lit up, and, wrinkling his nose, he followed the scent straight to Tang Yiyi, staring at her, almost drooling.
Tang Yiyi cast a disdainful glance at him, speaking bluntly: "You’re still not well, you can’t eat this."
As soon as these words ca out, Pang Zhi cried out in agony, as if he wanted to howl at the heavens, lanting the injustice of the world!
"Ow!" he cried, then looked at Tang Yiyi pitifully, pleading, "Sister Yiyi, please let have just a little, just a tiny bit! Nothing will happen, I promise you!"
If his arm wasn’t still restricted, he might have slapped his chest, vowing to Tang Yiyi that he was "as strong as an ox and can eat anything heartily."
Unfortunately for him, Tang Yiyi was exceptionally firm on this issue, refusing to budge no matter what, rendering Pang Zhi’s tears and pleas useless!
It wasn’t out of pettiness. Pang Zhi’s injuries had been severe, and he had been carefully tended to for quite so ti, just starting to recover, able to barely move around now. His 17th birthday was in a few days, with Pang Xiao planning to co by. Tang Yiyi certainly didn’t want her montary softness to result in Pang Xiao arriving to see Pang Zhi weak and bedridden!
Pang Zhi understood that Tang Yiyi was doing it for his own good, but the scent was just too tempting, and he couldn’t resist; it made him want to eat as soon as he slled it! He tried everything to get so food from Tang Yiyi, but when he found that she would not compromise, he gave up, looking defeated as he retreated to his room, unable to bear seeing it any longer!
Tang Yiyi didn’t dare bring the food into the bedroom. Tang Yuan was a glutton, and if he saw others eating, he would surely make a fuss, regardless of whether his body could handle it!
Tang Yiyi had to settle for dinner in the lounge, only for Pudding and Milk Tea to rush in, lured by the sll. Those two were bolder than both Pang Zhi and Zhang Xue! Had it not been for considering Tang Yiyi a little, they would’ve snatched it straight from her bowl!
But consideration only went so far. The two stared at the bowl in front of Tang Yiyi as if they were about to rob it!
Luckily, Tang Yiyi was prepared, glaring at Pudding and Milk Tea and handing them their portion, barely saving her dinner.
The Red Fire Scorpion at, rich with fire elents, was perfect for Fire Ability Users. Unfortunately, without knowing how to remove the scorpion’s deadly poison, Fire Ability Users could only drool over it for years!
Tang Yiyi took a piece of the scorpion at and put it into her mouth. The soft, cooked scorpion at was light pink, exuding a rich aroma, lting instantly in her mouth. Once swallowed, it turned into a hot stream that coursed through her ridians.
Tang Yiyi sighed in contentnt, then widened her eyes in shock as the fire ability energy consud inside her began to recover!
