Chapter 208: Initial Victory

“PA.....”

The gunshot from a Garand Rifle sounded behind Zhang Xiao Qiang. Without turning back, he knew that it was Shangguan Qiao Yun.

“Plop....” The sound of a heavy object dropped from within the darkness and a blade suddenly swung down towards Zhang Xiao Qiang.

“BANG.....”

The large caliber pistol in Zhang Xiao Qiang’s hand unleashed a dazzling fla, brightening up the man dressed in full black and holding a blade before him. The fla instantly died and the man plunged back into the darkness.

Zhang Xiao Qiang was able to raise his pistol right after the rifle fired off, following the sudden expansion of the pores on his skin, the blade actually arrived at his head. It was an instantaneous fire off with his pistol and when the fire was ignited from the muzzle, he watched as the man before him tremble before being enveloped into darkness once again while retracting the blade in his hand.

Although Zhang Xiao Qiang’s pistol was aid at the man’s chest, he knew that he did not hit him. In that slight mont, he glanced upon the fanaticism and tyranny in the man’s eyes. Right after the man retreated back into the darkness, Zhang Xiao Qiang sensed an intense danger like a poisonous viper in hiding, staring down at him, as though it could pounce onto him and sink its poisonous fangs into his throat at any mont.

“Bang bang bang...” Zhang Xiao Qiang unleashed the remaining six bullets in the pistol into the darkness while retreating at the sa ti. Every ti the muzzle lit up the darkness, the man’s figure would appear at a different location. He was too quick, making Zhang Xiao Qiang mistaken him as an extrely fast moving phantom. Fortunately, the man was unable to invulnerable and this allowed Zhang Xiao Qiang and the rest to be able to retreat back to the radius of the light,

Zhang Xiao Qiang reloaded his rifle and aid at the place where the man had not appeared before. He was sure that the man was the sa as Yang Ke’er and had drunk a lot of the special rainwater. His speed was unreasonably fast and had reached the limit like Yang Ke’er’s imnse strength. Furthermore, the man gave Zhang Xiao Qiang the sa feeling like the strange S2 that he had encountered the first ti. Zhang Xiao Qiang’s subordinates beca more cautious.

All the n who were at the forefront of the battle either died from injuries, beaten to death or burnt to death. A few others managed to run down the hill, while the remaining five suppressed mbers were brought to Zhang Xiao Qiang, one of them with burns and had sustained a gunshot injury.

A few makeshift wooden sticks with sharpened tal tips attached to the top and longbows were thrown to Zhang Xiao Qiang’s feet. All of these were the weapons used by the cannon fodder to attract Zhang Xiao Qiang and his team’s firepower. Looking at the dispirited hostages, Zhang Xiao Qiang left two n to look after them while he led a few others to the truck parked by the side.

The entire battlefield had cald down. Zhang Xiao Qiang and his team could no longer find the hidden enemies and could not locate any targets to shoot down. The unknown powerhouse had been completely overwheld by Zhang Xiao Qiang’s imnse firepower that they dare not reveal themselves, while the mysterious man no longer appeared. After all, no matter how fast he was, in the face of 10 over ARs and an HMG, he too would beco a beehive.

The flas in the middle of the battlefield had subsided and were about to extinguish. Right when it looked as though the darkness was completely corroding it, the enemies sprawled on the floor beca restless. One of them even had sothing spinning above his head, probing to see if Zhang Xiao Qiang could see them. After the HMG had destroyed and cleared the area, their side had turned quiet with the fire turning smaller and smaller. A few newly ignited molotov landed near the flas and reignited the fire, brightening up the darkness once again. Zhang Xiao Qiang and a few n were in the midst of carrying molotov back to the area. He had no plans to let any of the intruders go. To him, they had suffered a huge loss, and to even have two of his n die to others, Zhang Xiao Qiang was furious.

“BOOOM.....” A dazzling light lit up the darkness and a fireball exploded out over a 100 ters, the pungent smoke floated with the night wind, the silence in the darkness was broken once more and the enemy’s firepower was revived. They started to spray instead of their initial single shots.

Countless bullets struck the tal shield of the Type-53 HMG. Zhang Xiao Qiang’s mbers were stunned and everyone ducked their heads down to avoid the rain of bullets.

The machine gunner was no longer firing, everyone was ducked down as low as possible. Although the Type-53 HMG had a tal shield for protection, there was still an open line as a view for them to aim, which also allowed stray bullets to pass through. The Type-92 Battalion gun’s armor also received the attack of countless 7.62mm bullets, producing very small fireworks.

Zhang Xiao Qiang raised his rifle and fired off a shot, then shouted to his team: “Charge.....charge at them....they’re escaping....”

Even before the echoes of his shout disappeared, a figure wielding a long handle blade had already rushed out. Zhang Xiao Qiang led a few n and followed behind while Three jumped out from his hiding spot and rushed over.

“BOOM....” Another loud boom sounded out a hundred ters opposite them, the darkness across suddenly revealed 10 figures who turned and ran. A flaming molotov flew out from behind Zhang Xiao Qiang and ignited in the sky above the crowd.

“PA.....” The loud and clear Garand Rifle shot ca out, shattering the spinning molotov cocktail in the air and releasing the sea of fire. The sea of fire descended onto the escaping enemies and lit them up, and so started running around in flas while others dropped to the ground and tried to beat the flas off.

One of the burning n suddenly rushed to a companion who was retreating, thinking of having his companion to help him, but no one did. Everyone was only focused on running. When the third explosion exploded before them, their sprints increased in speed.

Running on the field that was filled with potholes and bumps in the night caused plenty of them to fall. So of them crawled back up and sprinted again, so trampled over their own companions which caused the latter to scream and shout, and they had no choice but to pull them up to stand once more.

One of the more unfortunate guys stood up and imdiately encountered a shadow that swept past him with a blade. He was split perfectly from his left shoulder to right ribs and right as his body fell to the ground, Zhang Xiao Qiang finally caught up. Seeing the unlucky guy die, Zhang Xiao Qiang felt that it was a pity, they were all robust and healthy man and every man was considered an additional worker, but he was killed by the lunatic.

“CAPTURE THEM ALIVE....” Zhang Xiao Qiang shouted at his subordinates, he needed the manpower to repair walls, to cultivate crops, and to reinforce the defense of the base. No matter what, he rather have more n than less.

Upon saying that, a person imdiately flew out. A robust, bulky but headless corpse fell to the ground. Lunatic Guo Fei retracted his blade and continued chasing, leaving behind a speechless Zhang Xiao Qiang. Fortunately, the other subordinates obeyed Zhang Xiao Qiang’s orders and started to pull the injured hostages back for detainnt.
