"I knew you couldn’t handle it yourself. In a crisis like this, only the great Grade S-11 Observer can help you out of this predicant."

"Alright, are you done boasting?"

"Help up, I can go on boasting!"

Lu Luo looked at the Observer and suddenly smiled.

"Observer, so you’re just a bunch of waterlons?"

"Nonsense! Do you not understand what a taphor is? Just because what’s shown is a waterlon, does that an the essence is literally a waterlon? Isn’t this kind of children’s story sothing you can understand if you have a brain? Did you even graduate from elentary school?"

"Fine, having a brain is enough, so I don’t have one then. Could you perhaps explain a little to ?"

"Waterlons are sweet; they’re attractive. People want to get them, so the waterlon needs to run away. I don’t want to be controlled, don’t want to beco their tool, so I have to leave, to depart. I am the waterlon, but the waterlon is not . Got it?"

Lu Luo had actually already thought of that reason. However, he still hadn’t thoroughly understood the Observer’s last comnt, or so of the content from that book.

"Then what is the sun, and what is the moon?"

"Above the Sequences, they are beyond evaluation."

The answer was very straightforward and easy to understand.

"I see. I didn’t expect your creation to be quite so convoluted. So in the end, you beca the sun, its substitute to watch over the earth. Is that it?"

This ti, the Observer surprisingly didn’t reply to Lu Luo’s question, not even with a response of "Above the Sequences, they are beyond evaluation." Obviously, the question itself had so issues.

"Stop asking so many questions, fussing like a woman. All you need to rember is that the great Observer Sequence is the most useful Sequence there is. Achieving godhood, marrying a rich, beautiful, fair-skinned wife, reaching the pinnacle of life—it all depends on ."

"Yeah, yeah, I get it, you’re amazing. But right now, it seems like we’re not in the best situation to be chatting about this. If you’re done showing off, could you tell how to get her out of this room?"

While Lu Luo held the little girl, locked in a standstill, he had already sensed a faint trembling in the room. This wooden house, if it kept shaking like this, would likely collapse very soon. It didn’t seem like it would hold much longer; they needed to hurry.

Lu Luo was a bit out of options now. He could recover his strength if he picked up the girl, but the first power he regained was that of the Observer. So, at this mont, he could only rely on the Observer.

"Is there a way or not? Hurry up!"

"Look who’s panicking! He’s panicking! So, what’s the big rush? Just a mont ago, you called useless, and now you’re still relying on ?"

"If I say I’m giving up, I’m giving up. Think about it: if I give up, we all die together."

Lu Luo was being resolute, but the Observer, to its credit, replied.

"Since you asked so earnestly, I will tell you out of great compassion. Theoretically, all you need now is to reach a Strength of 5 and a Constitution of 3 to get out of here."

Strength 5, Constitution 3; it sounded pretty low.

"So how much Strength and Constitution do I have now?"

"Um..."

The Observer hesitated for a mont.

"Your current Strength is 1.1, and as for Constitution... due to extre weakness, it’s only 0.8."

"Is there any way for my Strength to reach 5 and my Constitution 3 right now?"

"At the mont, no."

"Great! So you talked all this ti just to spout a bunch of nonsense? Useless is still useless. It must be the crappiest Grade S Sequence there is."

"Hmph!"

This ti, the Observer surprisingly didn’t retort. Lu Luo was also incredibly frustrated; if things continued like this, he would be completely out of chances.

"Daddy! Take off my blanket."

The little girl, who had been silent until now, finally spoke. Her request, however, made Lu Luo pause for a mont.

"Is it alright?" Lu Luo’s voice was very gentle.

"It’s alright," the little girl nodded.

Seeing the little girl confirm, Lu Luo finally pulled away the blanket that had been covering her. And because of this, Lu Luo saw the little girl’s full form!

Her upper body was still clad in a normal pink nightgown, but her lower half was all wrong. Just as Lu Luo had guessed, the little girl had no lower body. Her lower half consisted entirely of black, root-like tendrils, entangled with the bed. And the bed beneath her was also intertwined with the entire room.

"Daddy!" The little girl, usually so sweet and optimistic, sounded a bit frightened now. It seed she was worried Lu Luo would be disgusted by her after seeing this.

But Lu Luo’s reaction was quite normal.

"It’s okay. Soon, Daddy will take you out of here very soon."

"Okay, I trust Daddy."

Lu Luo looked at these black, root-like things. This blackness wasn’t just ordinary black. It was the black of a void, and the specks on the tendrils resembled the cosmos and stars, looking incredibly profound.

When Lu Luo grasped one of the black vines, a sowhat strange vision appeared in his mind.

Sothing like a satellite?

POP! CRACK!

Suddenly, this satellite-like device released a pillar towards the planet it orbited. Not just one; it successively released six pillars. These six pillars, like teors, flew towards the ground!

「The scene switched.」

A group of humans was surrounding sothing, a creature that looked like a lump of flesh.

The mont Lu Luo saw this entity, he knew. This thing... was a Cataclysm. The Second Angel Envoy, Devourer of Worlds, Xu.

The human powerhouses and Xu’s tentacles clashed continuously. Their power was so imnse that even the previous Seventh Tier Mo Fan couldn’t compare. Lu Luo had never witnessed the full extent of Judgnt Chief Bai Qingshuang’s strength, but having faced Mo Fan, he was certain that the power of these humans far surpassed Mo Fan’s. They might even be of the legendary Eighth Order.

BOOM!

Just as the human fighters had Xu suppressed, the pillars descending from the sky instantly pinned Xu to the ground. Xu let out a terrible wail. The tentacles that could previously devour everything seed completely useless against these tallic rods. It struggled in agony, but struggling was futile.

tallic rods kept descending from the heavens, one after another.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The subsequent five rods completely nailed Xu to the ground, rendering it immobile.

A special force began to reverberate between the six rods. They connected and then pulsed with a certain rhythm. Under the impact of this rhythm, Xu quickly lost its ability to resist. Its body grew stiffer and more lifeless.

Finally, it collapsed to the ground, transforming into a rigid lump of flesh!

After Xu was sealed, the humans on the ground stretched out their hands, raising them high above their heads, as if summoning sothing. Guided by their resonating power, a black disc soon appeared in mid-air.

The Doomsday Disc!

Lu Luo was certain; this was definitely the Doomsday Disc. In both size and shape, the object before him was identical to his own Doomsday Disc.

Yet, the two were not entirely without differences. This Doomsday Disc possessed a more complete Sequence Force. Compared to Lu Luo’s Doomsday Disc, how should one put it? It was like comparing a cheap, woven plastic bag to an Hermès or Louis Vuitton—they were both bags, but worlds apart in quality. Yes, Lu Luo’s was the plastic bag.

Xu’s flesh and power were gradually absorbed by this Doomsday Disc. Soon, its body transford into a fluid of Sequence Force, slowly rging into the Doomsday Disc and, to a certain extent, completing the twelve seals.

Lu Luo was sure it was *completing*, not adding. The Number Two seal, the position of Sequence S-02, already existed. Xu’s power rely made this existence more perfect; it definitely wasn’t an addition!

This made Lu Luo feel slightly better. A Ninth Tier monster just served as kindling, while I’m the one who’s really impressive—like an engine, maybe?

"That’s enough, hurry up! If you don’t leave now, you’re going to die here. Isn’t living better? Don’t forget, you have a wife, and you don’t have children yet."

The Observer’s reminder brought Lu Luo back to his senses; his consciousness had withdrawn from the world of the black roots.

Glancing at the little girl he held in his arms, Lu Luo’s gaze steadied.

That’s right, I have a wife, and I don’t have children yet. How can I die here? I am the Undying Body!

Lu Luo suddenly pulled hard.

CRACK! CRACK!

Several more of the black roots attached to the little girl’s body snapped.

At the sa ti, Lu Luo felt as though all his bones were about to break. No, not about to—they had already broken.

CRACK!

Lu Luo’s body was collapsing; the little girl in his hands felt as heavy as a mountain. If it were the old Lu Luo, a mountain’s weight would be just that. He could activate Steam Level 4, endure it, and it would pass. But now, he was no different from a dried, salted fish.

As for the Observer? That’s a useless thing. Can you rely on a useless thing at a critical mont? No.

"Damn you! And you lecture others on being decent?" the Observer retorted.

"Being ’decent’ won’t get out of here. I’m about to die," Lu Luo said.

"Then... let go?"

"You know I can’t leave her here, so there’s no need to say such things, is there?"

"Alright, I think at this ti, I should offer so constructive advice. You’ve lost your strength, your Constitution, and your energy. Most Sequences won’t restore your physical condition, except for one."

"The Infidel?"

"Smart. Besides the Sequence Chain Infidel, your only way to quickly recover so strength and power right now is through the Infidel. If you can find the Infidel, you have a certain chance of escape."

"What should I do then?"

"The Sequences are yours. You should be able to sense their existence, just as you found ."

"Isn’t this random?"

Lu Luo was still unwilling to admit it, but the Observer rcilessly exposed him.

"Because you subconsciously felt I was important, you found first! This might seem like a coincidence, but it’s actually inevitable. You sensed , you needed , so the first Sequence you recovered was ."

The Observer’s words sounded sowhat smug. But this ti, Lu Luo didn’t deny it.

Although he often called the Observer useless, after Lu Luo lost all his power, a phrase he often muttered was, "If only the Observer were here."

Lu Luo desperately needed the Observer because the Observer itself could help Lu Luo maintain his composure. Furthermore, it provided him with incredibly powerful analytical and observational abilities. These abilities often brought him unexpected results—like hope—when he faced uncontrollable crises.

"If I find Sequence Chain A-Infidel, can I break free from this room?"

"Not necessarily. The situation here is so complicated. I’m just a little Grade S Sequence. Asking is just asking for trouble, isn’t it? Are you trying to shift the bla? Let tell you, if we all get wiped out, you’ll be the one who led us to our doom."

The Observer started rambling again.

"Scram!"

Lu Luo’s eyes sharpened once more. He grabbed the black roots again. The information flow within the roots seed to try to drag Lu Luo back into that other world. This ti, however, Lu Luo resisted.

I can’t go in. I have to find the Infidel.

Powerless, Lu Luo was like a small boat tossed about by this information current. The room beneath them also began to shake violently. Sothing strange seed to be trying to crawl out from under the bed. But Lu Luo clearly rembered that the thing under the bed was supposed to be another little girl...

"Damn it, there’s no ti!"

Lu Luo had cursed many tis today, a result of the profound sense of powerlessness in his heart. But he also knew that he had to calm down.

"Overclock Mode!"

"Entering Overclock Mode," the Observer responded.

In Lu Luo’s original state, maintaining Overclock Mode continuously wouldn’t have placed a significant burden on his body because he used to be incredibly strong. Coupled with possessing a monstrously powerful Sequence like the Devourer, which constantly replenished him by absorbing life force, Lu Luo had never even considered the side effects of Overclock Mode. When he first started using it, he even needed to put the Observer into hibernation and rest himself. Later, such rest beca completely unnecessary.

But things were different now; he was too weak.

The mont he activated Overclock Mode, Lu Luo felt sothing snap within his taut nerves.

POP! POP! POP!

Sounds echoed inside his head. Lu Luo didn’t know what they were, but after they occurred, he felt his limbs gradually becoming uncoordinated.

"What’s going on?"

"Side effects of Overclock Mode: neuronal rupture," the Observer said coolly. "A minor issue, it won’t kill you anyway."

"Right, issues that won’t kill are indeed minor issues," Lu Luo acknowledged. He knew the gravity of the current crisis; for him now, anything that wasn’t fatal was indeed a minor problem. As long as he could find a way out and recover all his Sequences and strength, he was a monster who could regenerate even from a headshot or having his body crushed to pulp. He had an Undying Body!

Well, assuming he had energy.

"Where is it? Be useful for once!"

"What are you yelling for?" the Observer shot back. "Can’t you find it yourself? I already told you this is up to you, and you’re still yelling at ? You really think I don’t have a temper?"

Fine. Lu Luo patted the little girl’s back with his right hand.

"Baby!"

"Daddy... I..."

"Hold on tight to . No matter what happens, don’t give up here."

"I know, Daddy!"

Lu Luo released his hold on the little girl with his other hand as well. He used both hands to grab the black tendrils extending from the bed, the ones clinging to the little girl’s legs.

He exerted all his strength.

"Open up for !"

RIP! A few more tendrils snapped. Lu Luo felt sothing return to his body, but it didn’t restore his strength. Moreover, he could sense that these returning fragnts were not from the Infidel.

There’s no ti left. I have to find it now!

Lu Luo knew that relying on brute force to break free would take too long. He had to find a shortcut.

"You can do it, Lu Xiaoluo! Charge for your old man!" the Observer cheered.

"Charge, charge, charge!"

Blood stread from Lu Luo’s eyes, nose, ears, mouth—even his anus. Essentially, every orifice was bleeding. He knew it was due to severe internal hemorrhaging; his body was on the verge of collapse. The only reason he wasn’t dead yet... was probably willpower.

His vision was blurred by blood, making it impossible to see clearly. He simply closed his eyes.

It’s not difficult to find; it’s in there!

Lu Luo carefully sensed the location of the Sequences. He seed to feel the Devourer, the Fusioner, the Summoner. But he didn’t try to connect with those Sequences. He knew that in his current state, they couldn’t save him. It was like that old saying: studying dicine can’t save the people of the Heavenly Dynasty. So problems needed entirely different solutions.

It’s at the very core! The deepest part!

Lu Luo peeled away layer after layer of the black tendrils. Finally, he found the thickest one—a tendril completely fused with the little girl’s thigh.

When his palm grasped this tendril, Lu Luo could feel the power of the Infidel within it.

This is it! This is the one!

He gripped the tendril tightly with both hands and began to tear at it with all his might. The Infidel’s tendril seed particularly robust. Lu Luo strained, his grip ferocious.

"Infidel, co back!"
