"I beg you! Please spare !"
The man's desperate pleas echoed through the atmosphere as the icy spread throughout his body.
Even his tears had been mixed with the sweat of his face.
He shivered uncontrollably.
Despite his screams and the bystanders taking videos, Daniel remained cold hearted with his icy gaze fixed on the man.
As ti passes by, the surroundings beca eerily silent, except for the man's desperate cries for rcy.
The once powerful and arrogant Ranker was now reduced to a pitiful state.
"You should have thought about the consequences before threatening her,"
Daniel stated coldly, unmoved by the man's pleas.
The ice continued spreading around his body as it crept deeply in the man's body.
The sensation of pain he felt couldn't be described in re words.
Even so, the man clearly knew that if this continues, he will soon his life.
As the frost reached his chest, the man gasped for breath.
The cold air had invaded his lungs.
"I'll do anything! Just spare !" he begged as he tried to gasp for air.
Even his skin was slowly turning white and his hair had beco as hard as ice.
"You made your choice when you threatened her. Now, you'll face the consequences."
Daniel replied with a cold calmness,
He didn't care whether or not the man would live to see another day.
His main purpose was to kill him before Sasha live's crumbled.
Moreover, he wish to avenge 2 of his loved ones that had been tortured by the very sa man right in front of him.
The ice continued its unstoppable advance and eventually, reaching the man's face.
His once defiant expression turned into one of sheer terror.
He whimpered, "I promise, I won't harm her or anyone else. Just stop this, please!"
But Daniel remained resolute.
He knew the man's promises were worth nothing.
Moreover, his pleas were nothing compared to the torture or everything that Sasha had to went through.
Even so, this was too light to be considered as a torture for the man.
Hence, Daniel had a good idea.
With a sinister smirk, Daniel utilised one of his Mythic Skills, Soul Waver
Channeling the power of his Soul Waver skill, an otherworldly force emitted out from Daniel's hand.
At the sa ti, the air around the man rippled as the very essence of the his soul was forcibly drawn out from his body.
The soul could only be seen by Daniel, and after the soul was pulled out, it was floating in the air.
But Daniel wasn't finished.
"You're not going anywhere" He declared.
Even though the soul was pulled out from the body, it was trying to return back to its body.
However, Daniel wouldn't allow that to happen.
"Get over here!"
With a calculated move, he invoked his Mythic Skill, Soul Prison.
All of a sudden, around the soul, there were spiritual tallic chains that appeared from a black spot.
It chased and chained the soul, and even though the soul tried escaping from the grasp of the chains, there was too many.
Eventually, as the soul had been locked by the chains, the chains started pulling the soul towards the black spot.
Eventually, the soul was consud by the black spot, and now, it was trapped within a darn prison.
It was a prison specially created for souls that was impossible to escape.
If the soul had a voice, it would be screaming with fear and tears all over its face.
However, this was still too light for the man to suffer.
Hence,Daniel decided to his utilised another Mythic Skill, Cursed Illusion.
"With this, you'll suffer for an infinite amount of ti" Daniel declared coldly.
With a re thought, a nightmarish illusion was created specially for the man's disembodied soul.
Inside the illusory realm, the man experienced tornt beyond imagination.
It was a relentless cycle of agony, mirroring the consequences of his malevolent actions.
Because of Daniel's Mana and the unimaginable power of the skill, ti had been twisted.
For a re second, perhaps years had passed by and the man had experienced a torture beyond words.
No one can imagine just what kind of torture he had went through.
Perhaps, he was skinned alive, boiled by magma, stabbed by thousands of people, and he even was raped by monsters.
Now that ti had stretched in the illusion, it createe an eternal abyss of suffering.
Satisfied with the punishnt he had inflicted towards the man, Daniel turned away.
He left the now frozen body and imprisoned soul and turned his attention towards Sasha.
With a warm smile, Daniel turned towards Sasha, who stood there in a mix of awe, gratitude, and confusion.
The icy atmosphere that surrounded him monts ago seed to lt away as he approached her.
"Are you okay?" he asked gently with concern evident in his eyes.
Sasha, still processing the surreal events, nodded slowly.
"T-Thank you, but who are you?"
Daniel laughed at her question.
"Just soone who wishes to help people like you" He replied.
"And, I'm soone who will protect you" He whispered to himself without Sasha hearing those words.
After a few monts, Sasha found her voice.
"But why? Why do you have to go so far for ?"
She was trembling with mixed emotions.
She thought her life would end, yet, a man had stood up for her which nobody had ever did before.
But knowing who she was, Daniel paused for a mont, choosing his words carefully.
"Because I know what it's like to be powerless" He said.
Sohow hearing those words, Sasha never thought she could relate with his words.
"Thank you," She said, her voice cracking with emotion.
"You're welco," Daniel said, and his gentle smile was like the sun, lting the last of the ice and thawing her heart.
As the warmth spread throughout her body, she finally relaxed, and her tears started flowing down her cheeks.
"Why are you crying...?" Daniel questioned in a gentle tone.
Sasha wiped away her tears and managed a shaky smile.
"I was so scared just now..." She said with a tears choking her throat.
"I-I thought my life would end...yet..You saved " She cried as she tried wiping her tears with her fingers.
"I n-never expected anyone to stand up for like that."
Daniel nodded, understanding the depth of her emotions.
"It must have been hard for you to experience all of this by yourself" Daniel said and his words had affected Sasha.
Sasha didn't know a stranger had stood up for her especially towards a ranked.
She didn't even know him nor his na.
Despite even freezing his body and clueless whether or not he was still alive, she never felt any malicious intent from her.
Moreover, she could sense that he was being gentle with her, and she wants to know why.
Eventually monts later, Sasha ford the most brightest smile that she had ever had with tears still dripping down from her eyes.
"Thank you for saving ..." She said.
For her, it might be a simple thank you, however, for Daniel, it was the words that he had been longing to hear.
He had be wanting to hear those words and now, he wanted to burst into tears.
But to show a cool side of him, he swallowed his tears and yet, his heart was beating loudly.
At the sa ti, he never thought that a smile of hers could brightened the atmosphere.
It was as if, they were in a scene of a movie despite the dead ice body behind him.
As they stood amidst the aftermath of the confrontation, a crowd had gathered, capturing the events on their devices.
Daniel, unfazed by the attention, turned his gaze back to Sasha.
Once Sasha had cald her emotions, Daniel delivered his words.
"I should get going," He said, glancing at the frozen behind him.
As Daniel began walking away, Sasha felt the need to stop him.
She didn't just wish him to leave her like that.
Even though she wasn't clear about how she felt about this entire situation, there's is one thing for sure that she's clear about, and that is, she wish to repay him sohow.
Moreover, his presence has created a spark of curiosity.
"W-Wait...can I have your number...?" She said nervously, wondering if he would give her his number.
Moreover, this was the first ti that she had ever asked a number from a man, and it felt nerve wrecking for her.
Even her hands that was holding her phone was trembling.
But looking at her, Daniel couldn't help but chuckle at how adorable she was.
"Alright, I'll give your number" Daniel accepted her phone and added his number in her contacts.
In the first place, Daniel wanted to build a relationship and he did the act of leaving her to attract her curiosity.
"I have added my number and my na's Daniel" He introduced his na.
"If you need any help...you can call this number" Daniel said.
