David and Sam stood facing each other in the center of the battle ring, both waiting for the referee's signal to start the fight. During this tense mont, they carefully observed one another.

'I don't know if my power level matches David's, or if I can even keep up with him,'

Sam thought.

'I just hope my performance is enough to catch the attention of those powerhouses.'

Sam knew that his chances of defeating David were slim. Since winning was unlikely, he decided to use this match to showcase his skills. For now, that was his only goal.

He wasn't certain about David's actual power. If he had more ti to prepare, perhaps he would be confident in winning, but at this mont, he lacked that assurance.

On the other hand, David was also closely observing Sam, trying to gauge his strength. One thing he was sure of—compared to any of his previous opponents, Sam was far stronger.

Against Sam, he would need to go all out. Still, David felt confident he could win without having to unleash the Dragon Slayer.

"Start!!!"

The referee wasted no ti and gave the signal to begin.

*Shusss!*

Two powerful energy fluctuations erupted instantly inside the battle ring. Everything happened so suddenly that even the referee was startled.

*Clang!!!*

A tallic sound rang out within the ring, quickly followed by another… and another.

Both David and Sam had drawn their swords and launched into a fierce exchange. Each strike rang with that tallic *clang*, accompanied by powerful impacts.

An ordinary spectator wouldn't be able to keep up with their speed—both fighters were going all out from the start.

Suddenly, Sam appeared in front of David and swung his sword. David prepared to counter, but to his surprise, the attack was a feint—Sam's sword slipped past his guard.

In an instant, Sam's blade was aid at David's stomach.

*Clang!!!*

David's sword intercepted the blow just in ti, the impact producing another sharp tallic clash.

Though he had fallen for the feint, David still reacted fast enough to block. And the force behind his counter was not sothing to underestimate.

Both fighters stepped back, creating distance, and then lunged at each other again.

After several exchanges, Sam still hadn't used his Shadow Bind technique or any special moves. He was fully focused on his swordsmanship and movent technique.

David, too, hadn't used any of his advanced abilities yet. Most likely, both warriors were still testing each other's strength.

But the warm-up phase was ending—it was ti to get serious.

David realized that if he kept fighting this way, he might lose. He also rembered that Sam had yet to use his Shadow Movent technique. If Sam decided to use it, the fight could turn against him.

Determined not to risk defeat, David decided to unleash Dragon Breath to double his overall power.

At the sa ti, sparks of a thunder elent began crackling around Sam's body, making it seem as though he had beco a living thunderstorm.

David's overwhelming aura made Sam more serious—but not panicked. He cald himself and prepared to use his Shadow Bind technique for the first ti in the match.

Despite it being morning, shadows cast by the surrounding large rocks gave him an advantage.

Fifteen seconds later…

David activated his movent technique and blurred out of sight, speeding toward Sam.

But the mont he drew near and prepared to strike, he felt sothing grab onto him—an unseen restraining force.

Before David could process what was happening, Sam vanished from his position without even using Shadow Movent—it was pure speed, as if he had teleported.

Sam appeared right in front of David, his blade crackling with thunder, the sound like a thousand birds screaming at once.

David could sense the danger in that strike. Struggling against the invisible force, he pushed his strength to the limit, determined to break free before the sword landed.

If he were an ordinary warrior, there would be no escape—but David was not ordinary, and his power slightly exceeded Sam's.

Cracks began to form in the restraining force, and Sam noticed.

Yet Sam didn't panic or back off—he pressed forward and swung.

*Boom!!!*

The power of the attack ripped through the air, sending shockwaves across the ring.

A mont later, many in the audience gasped when they saw David hurtling toward the edge. For a second, it looked as though he would be eliminated from the semifinal.

But David recovered in ti, planting his feet and forcing himself to a stop.

Almost instantly, he vanished again—reappearing behind Sam.

*Boom!!!*

Another impact shook the ring, this ti sending Sam flying. He hadn't expected David to reposition so quickly.

David didn't stop there. Once again, he appeared behind Sam, ready to strike—

*Shusss!!!*

But Sam dodged at the last mont, and David's blade cleaved through a massive rock instead.

*Boom!!!*

The rock split cleanly in two, but David wasn't satisfied. He launched into his movent technique again, scanning for Sam's location.

Sam had used Shadow Movent to vanish, his speed so great that David had no opportunity to counter.

Realizing this, David beca more serious, determined to locate him.

Sam reappeared nearby, grimacing as he activated a recovery technique. His body was wracked with pain—the power behind David's last strike had been enough to badly wound him. Another hit like that, and his armor would shatter completely.

Even so, Sam ignored the pain, focusing instead on re-engaging. He used the Shadow Movent again.

David sensed his presence and started toward him—but danger ca from behind.

He froze. The restriction force gripped him once more.

*Boom!!!*

A violent shockwave blasted through the ring as David's arm clashed with Sam's thunder-charged sword.

The armor on David's right arm shattered. Unable to evade in ti, he had tried to block with his bare arm—blood now stread from it, and his hand felt numb.

Still, David didn't panic. Less than a second later, his aura changed dramatically. He ignored the pain, shattered the restraining force, and activated Dragon Breath once more, doubling his power.

*Boom!!!*

This ti, Sam wasn't even able to use Shadow Movent before David's blow sent him flying back.

Before Sam could regain his footing, David was on him again.

Sam tried to counter, but he wasn't fast enough—David's sword slamd into him.

*Boom!!!*

The impact was devastating.

*Cough… cough…*

Before David could strike a third ti, Sam used Shadow Movent to escape and gain so distance.

Blood trickled from his lips as he coughed violently. Continuous heavy blows had destroyed his armor—blood now seeped from multiple wounds.

'Cough… As expected… I'm still not strong enough to defeat him. Even if my base strength is greater, he can instantly double his power.'

Sam knew victory was impossible—but he had no intention of giving up.

David prepared to attack again, but Sam vanished, deploying both Shadow Movent and Shadow Bind at full strength.

David, closing in again, felt the powerful restraining force grip him tighter than before. He broke through it more easily than most opponents could—but it still bought Sam precious seconds.

Sam appeared behind him, unleashing a relentless series of sword swings, each laced with thunder energy.

*Boom!!!*

Ten seconds later, a massive explosion tore through the battle ring, startling even the referees and dical team.

For a mont, the dics almost rushed in, but stopped when they saw the fighters still engaged.

Although David's overall power was greater, Sam's use of the surrounding terrain and Shadow Movent allowed him to evade many attacks—though his body was in a much worse state than David's.

Finally, the two warriors separated, their auras flaring to their absolute peak. Both knew this would be the final exchange.

They vanished—then reappeared, face-to-face. David swung, Sam vanished, reappeared behind him, and struck.

*Boom!!!*

The explosion that followed nearly obliterated the entire battle ring.

A thick cloud of dust and smoke covered the arena. This ti, the dical team rushed inside imdiately.

Spectators stared anxiously, unable to see the outco. Who had won? Why were dics running in?

As the dust cleared, the ring was revealed to be cracked and on the verge of collapse.

David sat on the ground, panting heavily, being treated by two dical warriors.

Beside him lay Sam, unconscious, as healers worked to stabilize him.

The result was obvious: after a brief delay, the referee announced David as the winner.

Yet the stadium remained silent. No cheers, no applause. Had they even heard the announcent?

Fortunately, they did not stay like this for a long ti. They already ca back to their senses and imdiately began to cheer for David.

Not only that, so of those people even begin to cheer for Sam. Among them, Alexa and Fiona are present who are cheering for Sam.

Despite losing the match, nobody can ignore his intense battle. Even both of them did not have the confidence to win against Sam.

This is also the ti to support their friend so that he does not beco disappointed in himself. That performance would be enough to attract the attention of those powered houses.

Don't forget Sam did not have the background like them. But with his performance he has a clear chance to join those top Academies without any problem.

'I have to say that even I am really impressed after looking at his performance. I am even eager to invite him to our family.

What do you think? We can try to invite him using another thod.'

Suddenly, Fiona's father said that to her. You can easily tell he is teasing her and wanted to see Fiona's reaction.

Fiona imdiately understood what her father wanted to say and that made him angry at him.

Looking at her reaction he and his wife begin to laugh loudly. But it is true that looking at Sam's performance he really wanted to invite him into his family.

Not just them but many other people also have the sa intention and they are even ready to use their daughters as a sacrifice.

Unfortunately for them, Sam could not join any of those families.

Other than those of the Warrior family, there are many associations and organisations who are also waiting for the right movent to invite him to join them.

Even those previous associations and organisations begin to rewrite their offers for Sam.
