The viewers in the livestream room, especially those from Blue Star, were sowhat frightened by Wu Zixu’s manic appearance.
Even though they knew it was just a scripted scene.
But that frenzied look truly instilled fear in people’s hearts.
Especially the scene where he pulled at his hair in the pouring rain, turning white overnight.
There were many discussions in the livestream room; so thought it was exaggerated, while others believed turning white overnight under such pressure was reasonable.
So dical students from Blue Star analyzed it:
"This should be an acute stress reaction, combined with enormous pressure, causing Wu Zixu to lose a lot of hair."
"Moreover, he originally had white hair, just covered up by his black hair. With the black hair falling out due to anxiety, it makes it appear as if his hair turned white overnight."
"Only this explanation makes sense."
"However, the probability of this happening is extrely low, less than one in a hundred thousand."
"But blending it with Wu Zixu’s experiences lends it so plausibility."
"The overnight white hair adds a sense of tragic grandeur."
The viewers from Blue Star marveled at the scene.
Why hadn’t anyone incorporated such situations into scripts before?
Just imagine.
Because of so deep hatred or a ruined family, turning white overnight is just incredible.
One has to admit.
Polestar’s creativity in crafting these plots is whimsical yet carries a semblance of logic.
Previously, no one thought in this direction.
The shock brought by Wu Zixu’s overnight white hair continued to spread.
The Blue Star viewers discussed while watching the script unfold.
At this ti.
Within the plot, Wu Zixu, with his emaciated body and head of white hair, looked like an old beggar from ancient tis.
Such a person could hardly be associated with the once noble prince of the Chu State.
Even the patrolling soldiers, seeing Wu Zixu in this guise, rely glanced with disgust and urged him on his way, as if there was sothing dirty or ominous about him.
But this was precisely what Wu Zixu wanted.
Yet, after passing the Zhaoguan checkpoint...
The pursuers behind them remained relentless.
One day.
With his disheveled white hair and supported by a bamboo staff, Wu Zixu fled to a riverbank.
Ahead lay the vast river, behind were the pursuers.
Wu Zixu was nearly in despair:
"Is Heaven to doom ?!"
Suddenly.
Out from the fog over the river ca a small skiff:
"Why does a gentleman cross the river at night?"
Wu Zixu looked up abruptly and saw an old man with hair and beard all white on the boat:
"Sir, save ! The Chu people seek my life!"
Wu Zixu rushed into the water and climbed onto the boat.
Seeing this, the old fisherman began to steer the boat towards the opposite shore.
As they approached the opposite bank, Wu Zixu was eager to jump off the boat, but the old fisherman called out:
"I’m going to the village to get so food. You can stay and co with ."
Wu Zixu stopped, imdiately bowed to the old man:
"No need, thank you!"
Then he turned to leave.
The old fisherman laughed:
"I know your stomach is hungry. I ant to fetch you food, but it seems you suspect I might report you, right?"
Wu Zixu looked at the old fisherman and said sternly:
"I don’t know you, so why do you save ?"
The old fisherman smiled and shook his head:
"I thought you were a man of great character."
He seed sowhat disappointed.
Upon hearing this.
Wu Zixu imdiately took off his treasured sword and offered it with both hands:
"This Seven-Star Sword was given by the late king. It has been in my family for three generations, and the gems on it are worth a hundred gold."
"Please accept it as thanks for saving my life."
The old fisherman stared at Wu Zixu, then suddenly laughed:
"King of Chu has decreed."
"Anyone who captures Wu Zixu will be rewarded with fifty thousand bushels of grain and a noble title."
"I, an old fisherman, am not tempted by such rewards or titles. Do you think I care for your hundred-gold sword?"
Wu Zixu was shocked:
"You know I’m Wu Zixu?!"
He then continued:
"Then I must thank you even more. This sword..."
Before Wu Zixu could finish, the old fisherman raised his hand to stop him and said:
"A gentleman needs to protect himself."
"Better keep the sword with you."
After saying that, he turned to steer the boat away. Wu Zixu called out loudly:
"I beg you to tell your na. If we et again, Wu Zixu shall repay you generously!"
The old fisherman steered the boat without looking back and shouted:
"If by chance we et again in the future, call the Reed Man, and I’ll call you the Fisherman."
"Hahaha."
With that, the small skiff drifted away.
Wu Zixu bowed deeply, then hurried on his journey.
Wu Zixu’s destination was the Wu State, intending to seek refuge with Prince Guang.
Along the way.
Wu Zixu also t the assassin Zhuan Zhu.
Seeing this, the viewers in the livestream room perked up:
"Whoa? Zhuan Zhu?"
"I think I’ve heard of this na, so familiar!"
"I’ve heard of it too, let think..."
"He’s one of the four great assassins of the Warring States!"
"Damn! No wonder it sounds so familiar. The four great assassins of the Warring States, the only well-known storyline is Jing Ke’s assassination of the Qin King. The others are too early, only known from records. But now we can see this here."
The viewers in the Blue Star’s livestream room suddenly rembered that Zhuan Zhu was indeed one of the four great assassins of the Warring States.
But before this, only the Qin Dynasty version, with Jing Ke, was known. The others were unknown, yet unexpectedly, they could see it here.
The viewers from Blue Star continued to watch with keen interest.
Wu Zixu sought out Prince Guang, hoping he would assist him in his campaign against Chu. However, no one would easily agree to such a request unless Wu Zixu could help him with sothing unimaginable.
And Prince Guang... fit the criteria.
