Senov imdiately retreated from his position, yanking himself out of the occupied space with his psychic powers, and landed quite a bit away, while sliding on the sand.
The alien also landed, but straight in the middle of the undead group, and started swinging his giant hands. The weaker undead couldn't block those punches and got decimated, but the stronger ones withstood, blocking with their weapons.
They used the small openings to retaliate at the enemy, cutting through his armor, and skin. The blood and pieces of torn to shreds bodies were flying everywhere. Despite the wounds, goliath kept fighting with the sa speed and strength, taking down even a couple of the powerful soldiers, who were giving him a hard ti.
The clanging of tal hitting tal was quite funny actually.
Gavriil used this ti to do sothing I didn't know he could. He cast a spell, gathering quite a lot of mana, and releasing it via extended hand. Nothing shot out of it, but the beast stumbled, as darkness spread through its veins.
The undead used this, to attack with fury, and deliver plenty of strikes, making the giant fell. He collapsed on a couple of the soldiers, crushing them.
I glanced again at the emperor, who didn't seem worried at all.
I quickly learned why, as one of the blades cut the pipes delivering the unknown substance from the device on the alien's back to the helt over his head. A blue liquid spilled over, and the colossus wailed for the first ti. It wasn't that loud because of the whole apparatus over its head.
This brought a smile to Zor'xal's face.
The giant picked himself up. His whole body was trembling like he was in so serious pain that was causing the muscles to tense. His hands were shaking, as he reached into space, but Gavriil's soldiers didn't care and kept swinging, cutting the armor and flesh, until it all changed.
The alien, despite all its wounds, and the body covered in blood, started whacking all around himself tearing everything to shreds. The ground started shaking from the powerful blows. We could feel the fury in the waiting room.
- That doesn't look good - Will pointed out.
Just as the beast got even angrier, which also changed its strength and speed. The strongest remaining undead tried to take it down, but their blades didn't work anymore, and the difference in power was just simply astonishing.
Senov seeing what was going on made them fall back and bit his own forearm, spraying the crimson blood all around himself, but it didn't fall to the ground, instead, it ford into tiny shards, that were imdiately sent by him straight at the beast.
Most of them couldn't penetrate the thick skin, and remainings of the armor, but those who landed on the wounds, lted and infiltrated the alien organism.
The beast, pissed off by a sudden attack, turned its attention at the vampire, and leaped into the air, landing shortly next to Gavriil, who already rose his crystal defenses.
The next two or maybe three minutes were just a flood of punches from the alien, who tried his best to destroy the defenses which even for were quite hard to get through. He kept pounding and pounding, making the ground shake, but to no effect.
Until he suddenly was struck by a sudden attack of pain, that caused his whole body to stretch, bending the spine in an uncomfortable manner. Another scream of pain, blocked by the helt, reached our ears, and then sothing ripped its way from the alien's chest to the surface.
It was a sharp, crimson red crystal, that seed to grow thanks to the blood. It soon ca out through the back too, breaking the creature's spine, and causing the alien to fall on his knees, and then straight onto his face.
I noticed when Zor'xal smacked one of the arms rests of his vehicle with his fist.
Senov liquidated his defenses and made them inject themselves straight into his veins. Then he approached the giant, and put his hand on the crystal, causing it to turn into blood, which also was injected into the vampire's body.
- Rahahahahaha! You can't take down with those weaklings! I'm Gavriil Senov and you will rember my na! I'll be waiting for you in your nightmares! Rahahahahahaha!
The maniacal laughter gave chills, and not just . I could tell with just a quick glance, that I wasn't the only one who felt like that.
anwhile, Zor'xal again spoke to his servants and soon after that, they announced the end of the event for the day.
Shortly after that, the vampire returned to us, stumbling, and holding his wounded hand. It was barely bleeding, despite the nasty injury. He was in worse condition than I expected.
- I can't fight tomorrow - he inford us.
- We can heal you - said Will.
- It's not about wounds. I lost a lot of mana, and it will take a while to digest the blood I just consud. I can't fight tomorrow. Especially if they have more aliens like the one I just killed.
Adam nodded slowly.
- You bought us enough. Thank you for what you did - he said.
This clearly surprised Senov, who even smiled briefly, but quickly hid it under his usual mask of a complete maniac.
- So who is going to fight tomorrow? - asked Wil, looking around at the hunters.
- I'll go - sadi Martin with confidence.
Hailwic, behind him, seed quite worried, but she didn't say a thing.
- So it's decided - said Adam.
I saw sanders moving towards the german giant.
- Just give up, if the enemy will happen to be too strong, or you will get too tired - Nil whispered to him.
Martin nodded in silence.
- I believe we should raise a glass to one of us, who hold the fort for six days in total - said Adam.
We didn't have any alcohol, but we had other drinks, and shortly everybody had sothing in their hands. They all looked at Gavriil expecting so kind of speech, but he just drank what they gave him and went to lie down.
