There was a change in the air around , and the lights went off. I found myself in an unknown place. With help of my skill - 'Eyes of the Void' - I realized it's a storage room of so kind. There were several containers around . All filled with objects, so with unknown substances.
- After you exit this room go to the left and start clearing the laboratories on both sides. Be quick, because they will raise the alarm very fast - the voice of The Great One appeared in my head again.
I did what he said and shadow walked past the door to find myself in a corridor. There were lamps above , but I had no idea if those were on, since my skill was making blind.
I turned in the pointed-out direction and started running. There were multiple doors ahead of in the span of several ters. I shadow walked past the first one and ended up in a chemical laboratory with three researchers inside. All in different shapes, but the height and leanness remained.
There were three big tables in the middle of the room, filled with equipnt. A lot of glass and different liquids. In the corners, there was so different equipnt. Complicated machinery.
I ignored all of that and started swinging before the Xuvi could react. I cut them all in half with three quick moves using shadow walk, and got out, to aim a the next room on the opposite side.
It was the exact copy of the one I cleared before. I quickly killed the researchers and moved forward. The chemicals spilled during the slaughter were digging into my clothes but surprisingly couldn't do anything to my skin.
The next six rooms were all the sa, but the ones further were different. When I got inside the first one of the next set, I found myself in so kind of breeding chambers with giant tubes filled with liquid and so creatures floating inside. There were several tables with butchered representatives of different races.
- Be careful here. You cant destroy the test tubes at the end of the room. Kill everything else.
I greeted my teeth and proceeded to kill the four Xuvi shocked with my appearance. Three died almost instantly, but the fourth one managed to push sothing and raise the alarm. I couldn't hear it, but my skill was picking up on the vibrations moving the air. I cut the head of the last one, smashed the tubes, and quickly got back outside, to get into the next laboratory.
I was welcod there with several guns pointed at , which went off imdiately. I actually got hit, but it just didn't do any damage to . My clothes though...
- You left sothing there...
- I'll set everything on fire later.
- *Sigh*
I shadow walked further, to close the distance, and cut them all down, then destroyed everything except the tubes with embryos.
When I got back on the corridor, there was panic all around . Xuvi were running away from the labs. Few energy beams went my way, but those missed pretty heavily. I chased after them and killed them one by one while running further, to et with the lizard troops. Few lines blocked the entire space. They started shooting imdiately when I showed up.
I did so evasive maneuvers, parkouring over the walls with shadow walk, and ended up behind them. The rest was just a formality. When I looked ahead, turning the 'Eyes of the Void' off for a mont, I saw a massacre right in front of . Bodies cut into pieces, and blood splattered everywhere. Sared on the walls by those who tried to still flee with the last few seconds of their fading life.
My head was empty. On purpose. I didn't want to share my thoughts with The Great One. I slowly walked back, to finish those who hid in the corners thinking I won't find them, but I had the voice in my head telling exactly where those little mouses were.
When I was finished, the whole base was already mobilized.. The real battle just started.
