While the two girls were busy studying, Taliban walked into the Latio family mansion. He bowed deeply to Logan, kneeling on one knee. "Logan, can we join your new team? Sanchez, Harper, and Quinn are all ready to be your most loyal partners."

"Why?" Logan looked at Taliban but didn’t answer right away.

Then Nel smiled and explained.

Taliban and his team were all kids from the lowest level of Pinocchini. They had low status and were always looked down on by the Golden Families.

But Logan’s recent fight against Brutus and the Blood Wolves had shown them who he really was.

"We common people also want a strong leader. If that leader is you, I think we all want to follow you," Nel said, looking at Sanchez, Harper, and Quinn outside the door.

Logan saw the honesty and hope in their eyes. He smiled slightly. "Welco aboard!"

Ti passed quickly. In just one day, Red Star Forge was completely changed.

Outside the factory, broken iron fences were replaced with walls made of rare tal. A red eagle flag was hung on the wall, and a big, impressive gate stood by the road, drawing attention.

Inside the factory, Jessica led Logan’s black ant army to set up lots of defenses.

Lilith and Kerparos carved rune arrays on the fortifications, which glowed with dangerous but beautiful light.

At that mont, Natalia, Sophia, Lucia, and Fischl had already returned to the front of the factory.

Logan stood on top of the factory and shouted: "From today on, this is our base. The Dawn Blade is officially ford."

As night fell, steam pipes released white smoke, creating a foggy mist under the lights.

Fischl quietly used her Dark Moon Battle Style.

Her body turned into shadow and disappeared into the night, even her body heat vanished.

Thousands of shadow crows flew out of her body, forming a black river that moved into every corner of the thirteenth district.

They landed on rooftops, hid in the shadows, and built a huge intelligence network. They sent back every bit of information they saw.

Later that night, one of the shadow crows found sothing strange in the shadows of an abandoned energy station.

It was located at the border between the thirteenth district and the Ninth District. It was an old industrial area once used by the Brutus family. The air there slled of strong chemicals and rust.

The crows’ eyes peered through the rusty pipes and saw three figures moving in the basent.

One of them was Fischl’s teacher — Maya Archbishop.

She stood in front of a secret ssenger from the Brutus family. On the table was a black crystal.

Inside the crystal, dark Shadow Beings slowly moved, giving off a cold, soul-destroying feeling.

Maya Archbishop’s voice was cold. "Tell War Hamr this is the Eye of Power’s goodwill. We want the Brutus family to help the Eye of Power set up a new order in Pinocchini."

She looked up at the ssenger coldly. "As a reward, the Symbiote technology and Shadow Beings power will be shared with the Brutus family after the plan is done. It will help them take down the Vanzo family."

The ssenger nodded excitedly. "The Hamr family leader will think about it."

Fischl heard everything through the shadow crows and quickly sent the info to Logan.

Logan stood on top of the forge, watching the images from the crows. He smiled coldly. "Finally found you, Maya."

The abandoned energy station was at the border of the thirteenth district and the Ninth District.

It used to be a factory for the Brutus family, but now it was completely empty.

Rusty pipes ran everywhere, and the dark underground tunnels looked like a maze.

Logan, Fischl, Natalia, and Lucia quietly surrounded the building.

"There are three targets inside," Logan said. He opened his soul power and spatial sense, quickly finding the three figures below.

Maya Archbishop — 25-star Legend, at the peak of her power.

Two Brutus family ssengers — 22-star.

And one strange Shadow Energy wave — probably a Shadow Beings sample.

Fischl stepped forward, her black combat suit blending into the night. "I’ll go check it out."

"Be careful." Logan said, nodding.

Fischl’s body lted like liquid, disappearing into the shadows. She slipped into the energy station through the door crack, leaving no trace.

In the dark basent, Maya Archbishop handed two black crystals to the Brutus ssenger.

Fischl acted imdiately.

She appeared from the shadows, her hands forming a quick seal. In a flash, thousands of shadow crows burst from her body, forming a black river. Their wings made a sound like a ghost whispering.

"Shadow Crows: Thousandfold Parasite!"

The ssenger was shocked. He hadn’t even had ti to react when dozens of crows flew into his body.

The black birds landed on his energy points, instantly blocking his power flow.

He felt his energy like a frozen river — he couldn’t move at all. "Damn it! There’s a trap!"

Maya Archbishop stood still, her face changed. She recognized her old student and quickly used her Summon Spirit Battle Style.

She placed her hands on the ground. The floor cracked open, and three dead Legend-stage bodies crawled out. They slled bad, and their bones made loud grinding sounds as they blocked the door.

"Stop them!"

Maya Archbishop turned and ran toward the window, her black cloak flying. She tried to escape through the window.

Boom!

Logan smashed the door with one punch. Wood and rust flew everywhere.

Logan’s 36-star pressure burst out, like a real mountain pressing down.

"Space Restriction!"

In an instant, the air beca thick. Dust in the air froze into tiny particles.

The three Legend-stage puppets were instantly crushed to the ground, their bones breaking.

"Where do you think you’re going?" Logan stared at Maya Archbishop, his fingers tightening.

As Maya Archbishop jumped into the air, she suddenly felt the air stop. Her whole body froze mid-air, like it was locked in a strong iron grip.

"Web Domain!"

Natalia sneered and in an instant, a bunch of black threads covered the whole energy station, like a giant spider web.

The threads predicted Maya’s escape route and wrapped around her ankles, hanging her upside down in the air.

Logan saw that Maya was under control and let go of his Space Restriction.

"Ah!" Maya scread. When gravity returned, she hung head-down, blood rushing to her head. Her long white legs were exposed, and she turned red with sha.

Logan walked closer, placed one hand on Maya’s forehead, and his ntal Power flooded into her mind, forcing her to reveal her mories.

A flood of images entered Logan’s mind.

The edge of Pinocchini, the Crying Canyon.

At the bottom of a dark canyon, a 29-star Saint-level mber of the Eye of Power was setting up a huge array.

"Gene Lock Killing Array?" Logan saw the full form of the array in his mind. His eyebrows tightened. "An array that can suppress and lock the power of even a Saint?"

Thinking this might be aid at him, Logan’s face turned cold.

He increased his ntal Power and broke Maya’s resistance. He then planted an Enslave Mind mark on her.

Maya Archbishop was now under Logan’s control. Her expression softened imdiately, and her legs, which had been tightly closed, now spread apart. "Master, are you going to use this position to take advantage of ?"

Logan awkwardly looked at the girls around him.

Feeling the girls’ angry eyes, he cleared his throat. "Bring out the Brutus ssenger. The crystal is with him."

Lucia took the black crystal from the ssenger.

Inside the crystal, dark Shadow Beings were moving, giving off a cold, soul-destroying feeling. It looked like a living thing trying to break free.

"This is a Shadow Beings sample? After being sealed, it can’t control people anymore," Lucia frowned, feeling the evil cold. "So evil energy... it feels like thousands of souls are crying inside."

Logan took the crystal. His Yepera bone gave off a soft glow, and golden purification energy flowed from his palm into the crystal.

The Shadow Beings scread, struggling wildly in the golden light. Their Shadow Energy quickly faded and was completely purified.

Logan saw the crystal had beco clear and said: "No wonder Maya’s level went up so fast—she developed a way to use Shadow Energy. She’s really bold."

He picked up his communicator. "Gwen, can you hear ?"

"Yup! Logan, what’s going on?" Gwen’s voice ca through, with the low hum of alchemy machines in the background.

"The Shadow Beings are purified, but the leftovers might spread. What dicine should we use to stop the pollution?"

"Use holy light stabilizer! I have three bottles in the basent of the forge. They can neutralize the poison of the Shadow Beings leftovers. Should I make more now?"

"No, three bottles are enough."

Logan used his Dinsional Ambush and reached through space to get the holy light stabilizer Gwen had prepared.

He sprinkled the stabilizer in the corners of the energy station. The liquid hissed, gave off black smoke, and then turned into harmless water that seeped into the ground.

Then, Logan continued to read Maya’s mories and found the full connection between the Brutus family and the Eye of Power.

The Brutus family provided resources and protection, while the Eye of Power gave them Shadow Beings technology and information from deep in the Lost World. They were working together to change the order of Pinocchini.

"Good!" Logan planted the Enslave Mind mark on both Maya Archbishop and the ssenger. "You’ll keep in touch with the Eye of Power. You’ll work as my double agents."

"Yes, Master," Maya Archbishop and the ssenger both bowed, their eyes now empty and obedient.
