At this mont, General Darwin coughed a few tis. His body, already injured and exhausted from the journey, was getting weaker and weaker.

But he still forced himself to stay strong, using nanorobot-made chanical organs and limbs to help the others figure out the frequency.

"These barriers all have a special frequency. Breaking through them by force will cause a chain reaction and trigger a destructive attack." General Darwin said, while analyzing the waves on the barriers.

Earlier, in the archive, they had not only found Novan’s genetic research results, but also so of his other patents.

This energy barrier was one of Novan’s defensive asures, made using nanorune technology. And that was exactly General Darwin’s specialty.

Soon, General Darwin began using nanorobots to form a series of devices.

"What is this?" Logan asked, confused.

"It’s a radio wave jamr." General Darwin explained while adjusting it. "The password for these barriers is the frequency. Only the right band can unlock them."

Logan’s eyes widened. "So you can crack the frequency?"

General Darwin gave him a cold look. "I don’t have that kind of skill. But I can jam it, making it think the frequency I sent is real!"

Logan frowned. "So it’s like... when my neighbor’s electricity goes out at night, I pretend to be his husband, climb onto the master’s bed, and even... stick my thing in?"

Darwin choked and almost fainted. "Your description is pretty accurate. Just don’t do it again next ti."

Soon, the radio wave jamr sent out its frequency, and the barriers around them started to disappear one by one.

The group continued down the corridor, but they were blocked again.

Unlike the puppet guards from last ti, this ti the ones blocking them weren’t puppets at all. They were real, powerful familiar tars.

But at least they didn’t have the sa regeneration ability as the puppet guards. The group could summon their familiars to hold them off.

The problem was, the number of them was just too big. As ti passed, their bodies piled up in the corridor.

And these human familiar tars were all bare-chested, with glowing runes on their bodies, giving off an ancient and powerful vibe.

Logan looked at them and imdiately connected with the spiritual body clone inside his blood tree armor. He learned that these runes were among the very first ones brought from the lost world thousands of years ago.

Logan thought about the runes on the Order Rebirth Protocol and suddenly realized, "Could it be that Novan’s whole Order Rebirth Protocol is actually a relic from so old guy thousands of years ago?"

After going through Dale Morgan and the Black Church, and even the Pope, Logan had a strong dislike for these ancient figures.

They were definitely smart and great, but they were also all crazy—so of the craziest people in history!

Just thinking that the Order Rebirth Protocol wasn’t Novan’s own invention made Logan feel like there was so hidden force behind everything.

At that mont, General Darwin noticed Logan’s confusion. He sighed and explained, "It seems Novan has been studying forbidden knowledge all along. The structure of these runes matches the ancient records in my family archives."

"An ancient civilization?" Natalia frowned. As the brightest star of the Corleone family, she knew many secrets others didn’t. "You an the ones you brought back from deep inside the Lost World?"

General Darwin nodded. "Deep inside the Lost World, there was once a highly advanced civilization. They had the technology to combine biological energy with machines. But they eventually disappeared for so reason. Philip and I got their legacy, which is why we have our power today. Novan probably couldn’t find anything useful from us, so he went deep into the Lost World again and found the remnants of that civilization. That’s how he got the Order Rebirth Protocol."

Logan sighed when he heard this.

Sure enough, anything connected to the Lost World never brought good news.

At that mont, another group of familiar tars blocked their way. Logan looked at the runes on their bodies and knew they had been brainwashed, losing their own minds. He no longer showed rcy.

He raised his hand slightly, and the whole space began to heat up. A powerful dark fla burned everything—both the dead bodies and the familiar tars rushing forward.

Logan slled the burnt sll in the air and frowned slightly. He opened his familiar space, and the corpses were quickly pulled in, sinking into the ocean of his familiar space, turning into nutrients and enriching the soil. Fresh air from his familiar space blew into the tunnel, and everyone’s mood improved a bit.

Logan sighed: "No matter what, Novan’s research ends here."

With that, Logan summoned his spiritual body clone to lead the way, and the group continued moving down.

At the entrance of the underground altar.

Logan’s team stood in front of a huge energy wall.

The wall was made of pure nanorune, with red patterns flowing inside, like blood.

"This door is very hard to unlock." Darwin sighed. "And as the final barrier, it’s the strongest one."

"Can we jam it?" Logan asked, confused.

"Yes, but it will take at least five minutes." Darwin answered. "And the jamming process will create a strong disturbance. It might alert Novan."

"He already knows." Logan said, looking at the barrier. He could already see Novan’s position clearly. "Let’s start."

General Darwin nodded, and a large number of nanorobots rushed out, beginning to build the jamming nodes.

Suddenly, a low laugh ca from behind the barrier.

The voice was old and rough, full of madness.

"You’ve finally co."

"Long ti no see, Darwin, and you too, Logan." he said.

"You’ve waited for for a long ti."

"Crazy bastard!" Darwin shouted. "Because of your stupid experints, Lol died, and so did Philip! You’re going to pay for this! When I open this door, I’ll kill you! Don’t think you can run—energy channels are your weakness!"

"Oh?" Novan sounded a bit surprised. "You found out? Good, you’re smarter than I expected. But it’s too late for you."

With that, the energy barrier blocking Logan and the others beca transparent. Novan looked at them with a delighted expression.

"The fusion is in its final stage. In ten minutes, I’ll beco the first perfect evolution in this world. Then, you’ll all bow before ."

Logan looked at Novan coldly. "You’re so ugly, yet you dream so big."

"Hmph, talking nonsense only shows how useless you are!" Novan laughed loudly. "Feel the real evolution!"

With that, the barrier suddenly flashed a bright red light and then vanished.

Not because it was broken by the jamming—Novan had removed it on purpose.

Behind the barrier was a huge underground space.

In the center of the space floated a three-ter-tall energy column. Inside it, Novan’s old figure was rging with the Ancestral Spirits Core.

His body was already half-transparent, with red patterns flowing under his skin.

The energy from the Ancestral Spirits Core was rushing into his body, making his power rise rapidly.

"Welco." Novan opened his eyes. His eyes had completely turned into a deep green.

"Welco to the beginning of evolution."

Logan’s blood tree armor spread out, and 108 spirit disciples broke free, forming a defensive formation.

Natalia used her ntal power to reach out to Novan, but it was quickly pushed back by a strong force.

"Can’t scan." Natalia said coldly, her eyes icy. "His soul sea is completely wrapped in Ancestral Spirits energy. My ntal power can’t get through."

General Darwin pointed to the top of the energy column and warned, "That’s the key node connecting to the Ancestral Spirits core. If you blow it up, you can stop his fusion."

Logan nodded and took the frequency jamr from Darwin. "I’ll go."

"You’re getting too close—it’s too dangerous!" Natalia stared at the 28 star marks on Novan’s back. "His power has reached Saint level!"

Logan looked at Novan and snorted. "Don’t worry. His pressure on is nothing compared to that stupid god. I can handle it."

With that, Logan activated his Demon Lord Descends form. Dark light flowed around him. The 108 spiritual body clones broke free and ford a strong protective wall around him.

Novan watched Logan, who was coming with so many people. His eyes flickered, but soon turned into a fierce expression.

"Stupid!" Novan growled. "Do you really think this much power can stop the evolution?"

Novan raised his hand and shot a red energy beam toward Logan.

Logan didn’t dodge. His blood tree armor’s spiritual body clones t the beam head-on.

The impact created a shockwave that tore the space around them, but it didn’t stop Logan from moving forward.

And while Novan was focused on the Logan in the air, the real Logan had already quietly stood on top of the Ancestral Spirits energy column.

"Can’t even see the refraction. What a joke of a scientist." Logan sneered, then kicked the column hard, creating a deep blood hole.

The blood-like energy of the Ancestral Spirits sprayed out, but it was blocked by the protective shield in front of Logan.

Seeing this, Novan’s face finally changed. "No way! No one can stop my evolution! No one can!"

Novan released all his energy, trying to knock Logan down.

But Logan just used his blood tree armor to take most of the hit. Even though the spiritual body clones collapsed one after another because the Blood Vine couldn’t hold up, Logan didn’t stop.

"Now!" Logan shouted, and he pushed the frequency jamr into the Ancestral Spirits’ body.

General Darwin, standing far away, pressed the detonation switch.

The energy column shook violently. The red patterns inside started to twist.

Novan let out a painful scream as the fusion process was forced to stop.

"No!"

The energy column collapsed, and the core’s energy poured out like a flood.

Logan instantly teleported away, not even getting a drop of blood on him. "If you didn’t rge with this big mushroom, I would have had to work harder to beat it. Thanks for rging with it, I could use its weakness to hurt both of you at once. You really are a nice guy, Novan!"
