After Faith's promotion they said their goodbyes and hurried away. They weren't even considering the possibility of the girl being a liar. It would be pointless for Nightmare to play mindgas. He has the numbers to crush them at any ti. At least until they reach the bunker, after that even he won't be able to kill them.
Faith didn't care about any of that. She was just feeling very happy. In fact if soone asked her, she would tell them that this was the happiest day of her life. Before the Fall of Copen she was only a 22 year old, working a diocre job. Her parents passed away before that and she didn't really have any friends.
The Fall might have been very tragic for most, but not for her. She was just a normal human without any goals or purpose. But after the Fall she finally found sothing she could do, fight monsters.
And so she fought as much as she could. Maybe she wasn't the best shot or the most athletic but she did her best. Weirdly enough she was one of the most experienced in their group but she still haven't killed anything. The killingblows were always delivered by soone else.
Faith thought that this will be the height of her life and she was fine with it. She had friends and even a lover for a ti, she felt content. But then ca the news of soone arriving from outside the city, possibly Newber.
She was really curious about this person. But she was in a coma and not long after her arrival another news ca. Deathbringer was marching on them with a small army. The people trusted Bea wholly, but they also knew Deathbringers reputation.
The situation seed hopeless until the day before the attack, when the girl finally awoke and during the battle killed 10 Evolved alone, while Bea killed Deathbringer in a dual.
It took no longer than a day, for everyone learn her na and everything she had accomplished. Saint Seraphine they called her.
Faith wasn't a devot believer at first to be honest. Even after seeing her fight that night, against the Evolved. Yeah she was strong and a good leader but nothing more.
But the other people's fanaticism rubbed off on her. Then Faith was selected by her boss Moe for a scouting mission with Saint Seraphine. It felt like going on a mission with your hero. Seeing her fight and command the group of three, she started to believe what the others say.
Saint Seraphine with the help of Lady Bea, will lead them out of the dark and into the light, wherever that might be.
And all of that beca even more obvious after the 'Slaying of the Demon', as people began calling it. She didn't saw the whole thing only the end, when Saint Seraphine used a sword of light to cut the 5 ter demon in two pieces, saving all of her friends and lover. But then she fell and Faith saw the blood.
Seeing her like that seed to shatter sothing in her. Faith ran there to see what was going on and when she saw the Evolved gathered around Saint Seraphine but not trying to help her, she knew. Saint Seraphine was dead.
That knowledge felt like her god has perished, she began crying in earnest and so did the others as they slowly arrived. The only one who felt worse was probably Lady Bea.
Like all of them she cried but unlike all of them she didn't give up! Using all of her power and a little bit more, she actually managed to bring Saint Seraphine back to life.
After that miracle people began refer to her as Saint Bea. Their main reasoning was, that not calling her a Saint would be placing her under Saint Seraphine. But they are lovers, so they have to be equal.
After seeing her Lady breath again, she was one of the few who fell to their knees, because of the weight lifting from their heart. Faith thought that was the best day of her life, until a day later sothing weird happened.
They were preparing to leave for the station, Faith was talking with Ash her best friend, when suddenly she lost control of everything. It felt like sothing else was inside her, holding onto her with invisible hands.
She felt the beings mind. Faith knew that the thing was in fact a she, and as she began speaking using Faith's own mouth, she began feeling her emotions. She was so terrified, but at the sa ti hopeful. It was a weird controversy but an understandable one.
And after she left Faith's body the sadness lingered, but not for long because Saint Seraphine began speaking to her.
Her eyes widened with surprise, then with happiness, then with devotion. Being a personal assistant to her Lady, she wouldn't have even dreamt of anything like that ever.
Faith knew that the main reason for it was, so the girl could speak with her Lady anyti. But she won't going to let her down and she will prove useful outside of her main duty of being a spokesperson.
Sadly she couldn't think of a way to be very useful for her Lady. But she wouldn't give up and will find a way.
They were just about to arrive at the station. Lucy already flew ahead to make them good to go, and when they arrived, everyone was ready. On the road Saint Seraphine and Saint Bea decided to leave the station this way.
The Sun was just about to co up so daylight wasn't an issue. The journey isn't going to be easy and people could die, but anything is better than getting attacked by Nightmare.
She still rembered those days before they escaped him. And learning what he had done to a poor 8 year old only made Faith angrier.
"Okay, everyone say goodbye to our old ho. And lets move into a better one!"
People cheered, but not too loudly. The city was still full of terrifying monsters.
They began their journey to the bunker, Saint Seraphine was in the front, while Saint Bea in the back, this way they could keep both sides safe. Faith was walking right behind her Lady, she was very happy and hopeful.
