Freak turned 8 years old a couple of weeks ago. Or was it months? She forgot a lot of things since Lord Nightmare tossed her into this room. Most importantly she couldn't rember her na.
During every torture session Nightmare would call her a freak, so that must be her na. Why else would he say it? He also calls her sotis his favorite toy, but not toy for sex like the others, but for tornt. She didn't know why he liked to torture her specifically.
In this room she was chained to the stone walls, there wasn't much in here. Only a bed, a small table and a bucket, for obvious reasons. They fed her once a day probably, she didn't know.
She served two purposes, one is Nightmare's toy. The other is because of her ability, yeah this small, malnourished 8 year old was an Evolved. And her transformation is, that she could send her soul out of her body.
The ability was very powerful, and when Nightmare heard of it she was imdiately placed into his custody. She was his best scout he said once. But whenever she reported sothing he didn't like, she would get tortured. Also he sohow knew when she lied, and got tortured again.
Initially he tried ntal torture, his speciality. But her mind ca close to breaking and she went into a coma for a week. After that, began the physical torture. It was more painful, but she still preferred it over the nightmares.
Her whole body was full of scars. He had a healer to 'clean the canvas' as he liked to refer to her body. So wounds even the healer couldn't heal. That's why she was missing fingers, an ear and so ribs.
Her body was in pain constantly and with no entertainnt in the room she sent her soul out and watched the city. It was beautiful, the open sky, the buildings, everything.
She loved to explore, and using her ability she could explore the whole city. But outside of the city was her limit. She didn't care, she went into every building or at least tried to. She quickly realized that just because most monsters can't see or attack her, so still could.
Luckily she didn't get hurt, because if her soul died her body would as well. At so point she thought it would be a blessing to die, but then she found a large group of people.
They were nothing like Nightmare's group, the people there were happy. There was laughter, she didn't know when was the last ti she heard it, excluding Nightmare's sadistic laughter of course.
And those people were led by a magnificent woman with brown hair like an oak's bark and eyes green as a forest. The people called her Lady Bea and after finding her she always watched what she did.
She watched her and all of her friends as they planned, fought monsters and had fun. She would've given everything to be there in safety and happy.
But life had other plans. Her main purpose is to scout for patrols constantly. If soone on a patrol dies, she gets tortured, even when it's not her fault. She didn't care and a lot of tis went away to watch Lady Bea and her friends. They were like so fairytale for her.
She heard them plan out the ambush against one of their patrols. She watched over that patrol as they went through the city, and as they got slaughtered by Bea. She got tortured because of it, but didn't care. This incident happened a couple more tis and her tortures only gotten worse, but still she didn't snitch about Bea's group.
One night there was supposed to be another ambush. But as she followed the patrol, she saw sothing impossible, a woman with white wings on a roof. She got curious and went over just in ti to see her get attacked by a monster.
The woman was beautiful just like Bea, only her hair was bright gold color, sa as her eyes. And those wings, they were the cleanest white she had ever seen. Even when blood fell on them, in a second or two they beca pristine yet again.
The woman fought the monster and eventually killed it, but she nearly died herself. During the fight the woman summoned light which made her even more unbelievable. But it also attracted the patrol's attention.
She began to panic, she didn't want the beautiful woman to die or worse get captured by Nightmare. Sadly in this form she couldn't interact with anything, she was only a witness.
As she watched the man nad Blake pull out a dagger she began to hyperventilate from worry. But what happened next cald and deeply satisfied her, the woman exploded with movent and light. When the light disappeared everyone enemy was dead except one.
"Behind you!"
She accidentaly shouted even though the woman couldn't hear her. But soone else could.
"What did you see Freak?" Asked Nightmare from the door.
"N-nothing..."
But it was already too late he had a suspicion, so he would get the information tortured out of her. And that's exactly what happened, she told him everything, what she saw about Bea and the woman who she later learned was called Seraphine.
But Nightmare didn't stop there. He made her report everything about them. Which was really bad, but at least she could keep watching them.
She saw when Seraphine awoke, the battle near the station, how Sera and Bea fell in love, the fighting in the sewers, the scouting of the demon and the fight. She cried when Sera was dead and jumped up and down from joy when Bea brought her back to life. And watched them explore the bunker, which she checked weeks ago, it's empty of monsters but stocked with everything else.
Sadly she had to report everything to Nightmare but as she watched over them she tried to find a way to communicate. And after weeks of trying she finally found a way.
