The first thing that woke Rhea was a ringing phone.
She stretched her hand across the bed, searching for her buzzing phone.
Where is this goddamn phone? She thought, her eyes still closed.
Picking it up from the nightstand. She brought it to her ear, "Who is it?" she asked.
"Babe, what’s up? Where are you?" Tia’s voice echoed from the phone.
"Where else? I’m at ho, obviously," Rhea answered, still not recalling what had happened last night.
"Ho? What ho? I’m at your house right now. I was here all through last night," Tia stated. "Where are you?"
Rhea’s eyes snapped open as soon as the word registered in her head.
Everything was a blur at first when she opened her eyes, her head throbbing as the headache hit her.
She looked around as she tried to rember how she got here and where she was.
But the only thing her mind could spit out was... luxury!
This isn’t my room. It’s not anyone’s room I’ve ever seen.
That was the second thing that rang in her head.
The first thing she noticed was the bed itself. It was enormous, probably bigger than any king-size she had ever seen, like it was custom-made. And it was also incredibly grand.
The headboard was shoulder-length and deeply tufted, covered in black and gold pattern leather or velvet, frad with carvings that shine softly in the dim light.
The footboard matched, equally.
Above it was a mirror with fire or maybe a Phoenix-shaped fra.
The sheets Rhea was covered with were incredibly soft, like silk, and they were also black, with subtle gold patterns woven into them.
The room was covered in black colored wood.
On the wall are lights that cast a warm, yellowish glow on the heavy, dark drapes that completely block out any natural light.
There were fras or maybe prints, Rhea couldn’t quite make out what it was clearly from where she was sitting.
A thick, plush rug caught her attention as her gaze dropped to the floor. It was predominantly black, with gold and cream intricate patterns stretched across it.
The impression she got was either that she was in an extrely old, expensive castle or a high-end, classic hotel suite.
Since Rhea was the only one in the room, the silence was profound, the air felt still and a little heavy, like a room that had been sealed off from the outside world.
Rhea’s heart started to throb a little faster, not only from waking up naked in an unknown place, but also from the sheer lavishness of it all.
This room was a statent. And she has no idea whose statent it is, or why she was in it.
"From what I’m seeing, I know I’m not in my house now!" Rhea inford Tia.
Rhea had been so sure she was in her room.
"Where is this?" she thought out loud.
Rhea let out a grunt the mont she tried to sit up. Her waist ached, and between her legs, she felt sore.
"What happened last night?" she asked herself.
The bedsheet slid off of her as she sat up, revealing a horror—her skin was covered with hickeys and bite marks: from her breasts to her stomach, to her arms, to her thighs and inner thighs.
Her voice cut through the room as she exclaid, filled with dread at her appearance.
Forgetting that she was still on the phone with Tia.
"You’re awake." A thick male voice cut through the room. "Did you sleep well? How are you feeling?"
She raised her head, glancing towards the source of the voice.
A shirtless man stood at the entrance, resting on the door fra of the room, his arms folded.
Was it this guy I ca here with? Did he do these unspeakable things to ? she thought.
"Who the fuck are you?" Rhea asked, "Did you have to go this far for a one-night stand? Marking like this!" Rhea demanded, dragging the bedsheet to cover her body, squeezing it tightly around herself.
"Hey, babe? Where are you? Who is that?" Tia’s voice echoed through the phone, sounding agitated. "Are you okay? Are you in trouble? Don’t end the call, okay! I’m going to the police station right now." Rattling sounds could be heard from the other side of the call. "Stay away from her. If anything happens to her, I’ll find you before the police do!" Her voice ca through, louder this ti, addressing the man.
The man was still, for a second, as he could see the unease in her eyes, as they kept darting at him warily.
His expression changed a little — a slight flicker at the corners of his mouth, and sothing unreadable tightening beneath his lashes.
Rhea didn’t notice at first, for she was too focused on adjusting the sheet around her body, and her knuckles were pale from how hard she kept grabbing on the sheet. But when she glanced up again, he was looking at her like he was waiting for sothing — a recognition maybe, but it never ca.
Because she only blinked and looked away.
Then he moved away from the entrance, walking towards Rhea, deliberately counting his steps.
"Stay where you are!" Rhea shouted, pressing herself back against the headboard.
She used one hand to hold the bedsheets against her body, the other stretched forward as a defence.
"Calm down, princess. I’m not going to eat you up... not after what happened last night." He replied, lazily trailing his eyes over her body.
"Don’t co close!" Rhea cried, as she attempted to move from the bed but couldn’t.
Who the fuck is he calling a princess?
She wanted to stand up, but the aches and soreness spreading all over her were as if she’d been run over by a bus.
How many tis did we do it for? She thought.
He stopped for a second, then smiled and continued advancing.
"I rember telling you not to co close!" she yelled again.
"And if I do? What will you do?" he asked, now sitting on the bed, moving closer to Rhea, his eyes lingering, never leaving hers.
"If you touch , I’ll scream!" Rhea threatened.
Even with Rhea’s threats, he still didn’t stop; he kept moving closer to her.
The mont she saw he was inches from her, her breathing hitched.
"You’ve been screaming since you woke up. Have you seen anyone except ?" he countered, moving his hand to her face, then tucking a strand of Rhea’s hair behind her ear.
"And you didn’t answer my question earlier," he continued. "So I’ll ask again. How are you feeling?" His eyes stread over her body: from her exposed neck to her covered breasts, then holding his gaze between her legs, as if he could see her sore and swollen clit through the sheet.
Then moved his gaze back to her face.
Rhea turned red feeling embarrassed from the way he looked at her, as if he could see through the sheet, covering her nakedness.
"What did you do to her?" Tia’s sudden angry voice cut through the tension.
The man hissed, his eyes flickering with irritation as his gaze moved from Rhea’s face towards the phone in her hand resting on her lap.
He glanced back at her, then took the phone and ended the call — turning the phone off.
"Give back my phone!" Rhea urged, glaring at him.
"Please calm down," he replied, "I will give it back to you, later. It’s just, that voice was becoming too annoying." He explained.
"You don’t have the right to do that!" she barked, her eyes narrowed, as she leaned towards him, stretching her arms out to take her phone from him.
But he placed it over his back, then leaned forward and claid her lips.
