Chapter 2

(1.2)

Mu Qing slowly sat up and looked at the pit she was trapped in, the bottom of the pit was less than two ters in diater, looking at the pit walls, it looked like a trap dug out by hand to catch animals, the pit opening was overgrown with weeds.

She was lucky that the hunters had not set up sharp instrunts at the bottom of the pit, otherwise she would never have been able to stay here, sitting so comfortably.

She looked down to have a look at herself, except for a few burnt holes in her shirt and pants, her body was unhard, not even a single one of her eyebrows had been burned off.

It was too strange.

She was struck by lightning, but now she woke up, uninjured, in a trap.

Mu Qing sowhat listlessly leaned against the wall of the pit, pressing the backpack behind her against the wall. She then had a realization, and hastily pulled the backpack down.

The backpack was made of a sturdy and thick canvas material, but there was a layer of soot marks on the surface.

Mu Qing took out her phone. The phone was still miraculously intact and still had battery. However, …… there was no signal.

Mu Qing did not give up, and switched the device on and off a few tis, but the signal bar remained empty.

She tossed the phone aside, and took out the whistle, put it in her mouth, and blew lightly on it. The shrill sound of the whistle ca out.

The whistle was just an ordinary whistle made for military use, but it was a good item. When ordinary people tried to attract the attention of rescue workers, they would use shouting to do so, but their voice, after more than fifteen minutes, would end up hoarse. However, with this small plastic whistle, as long as soone had a breath left, one could blow a sound out of it, that would travel farther than the human voice.

“Sss”, Mu Qing blew the whistle according to the morse code.

She blew for a long ti, but no reaction could be heard outside, not even the sound of the wind.

Mu Qing’s mouth was a little dry, she began to regret not having stuffed a bottle of water in the backpack.

She leaned against the wall of the pit, the whistle sound gradually beca weaker and weaker.

A long ti passed. So long that it was becoming quite strange.

Mu Qing just now looked at the ti on her phone, it was 12:00, noon. She rembered correctly.

Three hours had passed since she woke up.

The sound of her whistle gradually decreased, before finally returning to silence.

When the sky finally turned from bright blue to dark blue, the ti on her phone indicated that it was 6 p.m.

Her phone ran out of battery and turned off on its own.

Mu Qing was very hungry, but that was still tolerable, what was unbearable was the thirst.

She really felt that she was going to die of thirst, it felt so uncomfortable that she almost wanted to cut herself with the Swiss knife.

Drinking her own blood, she wondered if it could quench the thirst.

She finally gave up the idea, unable to be so ruthless to herself.

Mu Qing grabbed the whistle, stuffed into her mouth, and closed her eyes. Using all of her strength, she started to blow again, with a desperate effort.

Just when she felt her ear drums were going to be pierced by the sharp sound, sothing suddenly flew down from the opening of the pit, hit her head and fell to the ground.

It was a piece of mud.

Mu Qing quickly raised her head and saw that above the opening of the pit, surprisingly, a man’s face was stretched out, peeking inside.

The man’s hair was very long, hanging down the opening of the pit. His face was densely covered with a beard, it was impossible to see what his face looked like, only a pair of eyes could be seen, looking at Mu Qing, without blinking.

Mu Qing felt that the man was very ugly, not only was he ugly, but he was also very strange. But at this mont, no matter how ugly and weird he looked, in her eyes, he was no less than a god descending from the sky.

She didn’t know where she got the strength, but she jumped on her feet, tilted her head, and waved her hands, excitedly shouting: “Save , help out!”

The man froze, his mouth made so unknown sound, and then he disappeared.
