Ding Xiaolei was a seasoned role-playing ga player. Years ago, ever since Tencent released this ga called Sword Soul World, its gorgeous graphics, intriguing chanics, and rich gaplay captivated him.

After a year of grinding through events day and night, he had beco one of the top free players in the ga.

Their server boasted several big-spending players who long dominated the top of the PK Leaderboards. However, for these free players, this small number of whales was entirely acceptable. As long as their gear and skills were enough to slay bosses and complete storylines, the ga experience was already quite satisfying.

On that particular day, he was leveling up in a map. The ga had a feature where, at a fixed ti every day, a powerful boss would appear on each map. For those big spenders, soloing these bosses was a breeze, but for them, they needed to band together to take them down.

Fortunately, each player could only challenge one boss per instance, so those wealthy players couldn't compete with them once they'd monopolized a boss.

"Ti's almost up. Mad Lion King is about to spawn!" Ding Xiaolei hastily shouted in his friend list. This boss was of little interest to the whales but dropped fairly decent items and equipnt, making it one of the most popular bosses among free players.

"I'm coming, I'm coming! Report coordinates!"

"Wait for ! Let take a dump real quick!"

"I'm going to the warehouse to change gear!"

...

In less than five minutes, Ding Xiaolei and his friends gathered at Mad Lion King's spawn point. They were incredibly excited, as so just needed to kill this boss one more ti to complete an achievent quest.

"It spawned, it spawned!" one player shouted excitedly. A glow signaling the monster's spawn began to illuminate the map. "Brothers, get ready!"

"Whoosh!" An intense light shot from the side, instantly striking Mad Lion King with a massive critical hit, depleting one-fifth of its health in one go.

"Who was that?" Ding Xiaolei imdiately switched his view; their attack power couldn't even inflict one-tenth of that damage. Only the top players across the server could manage such hits.

But why would they be interested in Mad Lion King? There were much better bosses awaiting them!

Ding Xiaolei glanced at that player's na.

"Ma Teng Take Call 008."

"WTF? What kind of move is this?" Everyone had a similar question pop into their heads as they looked at that ID.

It was an ID that had never shown up before, but given the equipnt and level, it was obvious that the na had just been changed recently.

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!" A few skills from "Ma Teng Take Call 008" landed on the boss's head, delivering the damage that would take their entire team half an hour to deal.

With a wretched scream, Mad Lion King vanished in a flash of golden light, leaving behind a heap of items, money, and equipnt.

"Have any of you seen this ID before?" Ding Xiaolei typed a string of question marks on the public chat.

"Never seen it. Must be a new alias!"

"Judging by this, they must have spent at least ten thousand dollars."

"Ugh, nothing here today. I'm going back to my dump, see you tomorrow!"

...

Similar scenes unfolded in every server of Sword Soul World. Suddenly, a large number of high-level players erged in these servers. Wherever there was a boss, they would be there, and each went by the na "Ma Teng Take Call XXX."

Throughout the night, the free players found no places to level up, so they logged off and flocked to the Sword Soul World ga forum.

It was then they realized this wasn't a series of isolated incidents; almost every populous server saw a surge of such players. They occupied the wild leveling maps, monopolized all the bosses and instances, making it almost impossible for others to participate in the ga.

"Wow, these guys' IDs are clearly a provocation to CEO Ma. Which gaming guild is this? Can I join?"

"The person above, this is clearly organized and disciplined behavior. The equipnt of those players must be worth tens of thousands, so no wonder today the marketplace's high-level gear got cleaned out, and all those premium accounts got bought!"

"Eating popcorn.")

"@CEO Ma, pick up your phone!"

"CEO Ma, please answer your phone. If this continues, the ga will be unplayable!"

...

For a full three days, the group of high-level players seed to have an agreent as they camped in various areas. With their involvent, a large number of players lost their gaming experience, with calls to quit the ga rising rapidly in the forum.

Soone estimated that this ID had been seen at least up to number 875, which ant at least a billion had been spent in this ga to assemble this team.

If this were a collective action from a wealthy guild, it would be understandable. But the ga ID was likely the organized action of one person. Spending a billion in a ga just to make Ma answer a phone call? What kind of play was this? Was this the legendary spending beyond reason?

Initially, the ga departnt didn't take it seriously. But after two days, they noticed online player numbers in Sword Soul World had sharply dropped by 30%, with even a lot of big-spending players leaving. What did this an? This ant that the ga was quickly headed toward its demise.

This news quickly reached Ma Teng. Now the entire ga was filled with complaints. Many players stated that if they could not control the gaming experience, they would be done with it!

It was important to know that this ga was based on ti cards, so unlike mobile gas where revenue ca mainly from big spenders, these free players still accounted for a portion of the ga's inco. If those players left, it would undoubtedly be a massive blow to the ga.

At this ti, another post appeared on the forum.

"Ma Teng Take Call 1111: A Revealing Look at Tencent Gas' Enhancent Rates:

Official statent, the 10 enhancent success rate for the Sword Soul World is 3%, yet today, I used 20,000 Enhancent Scrolls, and the success rate was only 0.97%!"

Below this post were enhancent videos and screenshots. If enhancing ten or a hundred tis leaves room for randomness, then enhancing 20,000 tis almost certainly proved the success rate was far from 3%, with a lot of manipulation!

"Damn! Boss Ma, you're too underhanded. No wonder I spent so much money failing over and over. I thought I had African blood in !"

"We demand a recalibration of success rates!"

"Boss Ma, return my hard-earned money!"

...

"Bang!" Ma Teng angrily smashed his phone onto the coffee table.

Was this person out of their mind or what? One Level 10 Enhancent Scroll cost 500 RMB, and with the 9 weapons used as raw materials, that added up to another billion. Was it necessary to do all this just to make him pick up a phone call?

"This is ridiculous!" Ma Teng knew the person behind this had to be the sa person who called him days ago. They had said they would ss with Tencent's gas, and now they had actually done it!
