Geraldine sat on a dark throne, her expression solemn. Her red hair shimred softly in the dim light. Outside the window in her room hangs a red moon. Her eyes were closed as if she were in deep thought.
Occasionally, one of the seven runes across her left arm would glow, especially the one shaped like a peacock. That was the Lust symbol, and she felt so pride in that.
The Lust symbol glowed with a pink light, indicating that it was active, as did the Pride symbol, which was in the shape of a lion and glowed with a gold light.
Unlike the Pride symbol, the Lust symbol showed more activity. As the Paragon of Sins, she felt and experienced whatever the Sins did, like she were there. Over the years, she'd bonded deeply with Xander, who had beco the Sin of Lust. How they t wasn't the best mory, but their bond now was unshakeable.
Most even thought they had a relationship deeper than even mother and son, not that it was strange. There were no rules or manners in the Demon Realm. The only thing was strength and power.
Also, they weren't wrong to think that, not when they bathed together and even slept in the sa room. They were so close that to see one of them alone was like seeing a rainstorm in the desert.
But that wasn't how it was like. Of all her victories and power and achievents, she still hadn't achieved one thing. And that was breaking her virginity.
Now, here ca the concept of soulmates once again. In the grand sche of things, everyone had a soulmate, but eting your soulmate was like catching a falling star. If only it would even fall.
So, most, more like 99% out of 100% fail to even catch a glimpse of their soulmates. But here's the other part, which is also dangerous.
Soulmates are one of the works of FATE, but so are more compulsory. If you don't et your soulmate, forget about living a fulfilled life or a happy life. Those are terd to be True Soulmates.
You will always have the urge, but you will feel disgusted by others apart from your soulmate. So, imagine the kind of torture and pain Geraldine was experiencing. Even the Paragon of Sins, Sin herself, was a slave to sothing so simple and common.
If she forced herself to do anything intimate with soone who wasn't her soulmate, she would die or, worse, have her soul erased. And the most dangerous part was that her soulmate would also be affected imnsely, regardless of who he or she was.
This was the demon of Demon Lord, or rather Lady Geraldine Beaumains. This was the torture of the Paragon of Sins.
Even more sad on her part was that she knew who her soulmate was. She'd experienced a life with him before, but he disappeared with no trace on the night of their passion. He just disappeared, and now it has been close to 2000 years.
She felt him again, but he was weak and younger. Too young. She could've kidnapped or taken him by force. After all, with her power, she was a god among mortals, but her master advised her against it.
Lucifer was a different person now. Yes! Lucifer was actually the Demon King who had not been seen before by the other Demon Lords. This civilized part of the Demon Realm was founded by Geraldine, or rather Lilith, and her lover, her soulmate Lucifer.
They worked hard, beca powerful, and created a haven for demons, and on the night that they declared love to each other, he disappeared like he had never been there. Like he was but a mory. But his legacy and, strangely, his power stayed behind, looking over the Demon Realm.
She was the rightful person to take the throne, but she had the strong belief that he would be back. It wasn't a re speculation or lovestruck thought but reality. They were soulmates after all. Although his power had changed a bit, it was still him.
They once had a conversation, short but worthwhile, and she felt the longing he had for her. He rembered, or rather, his soul rembered. And that was enough.
She would've gone to him by now, but she couldn't. She was locked in the Demon Realm by his power. She was the one keeping everything in place. If she left the kingdom, the world they'd built would cease to exist.
So she could only stay and pray. Ironic, isn't it? A demon praying, but that was how love was, and more so, soulbound love.
Currently, she watched Xander through the sin symbol, and she was more than proud of what he'd achieved. He had started his revenge with fireworks, and it would surely do a lot of wonders.
Xander will be the key she will use to open the Demon Realm. Xander was the holy water she would use to cleanse the Demon Realm of filth, especially the other Demon Lords.
Sotis, power wasn't everything. Even with all her power, she couldn't destroy the Demon Lords. Not because they were strong. If it ca to strength, just by exerting a bit of force, she could erase all of them with little to no effort. Even the inhabitants of the Demon Realm wouldn't notice a thing. Such was the power of the Paragon of Sins.
As hypocritical as it sounded, she'd prepared Xander for this and he was doing to perfectly. His revenge was just the starting show. Very soon, he will target the Demon Lords, and then hell will break loose for them.
She released a small smile as she called in her mind to him.
'It's okay, honey. You did well. Now co back ho,' Geraldine said.
'Okay, mother...' Xander answered back with a frustrated tone.
'Is anything the matter, Love?'
'When will father co back? I...'
'Your father will co to us, but I don't know when. We can only hope that it's soon.'
'Mm. I'm coming back,'
And with that, their conversation ended.
