The desert stretched endlessly before Ethan, the twin suns of the Beast Plane casting their scorching light over the land. The air shimred with heat, and the barren terrain was a stark reminder of how inhospitable this realm was. Riding atop Galeno, his massive tortoise companion, Ethan kept his senses sharp. In this place, danger was never far away.

Angitia slithered effortlessly beside him, her sleek form cutting through the sand like a black shadow. Her gaze frequently darted around, her sharp eyes and psychic senses alert to every disturbance.

"We don't have ti to waste," Ethan said, dismounting Galeno and stepping onto the hot sands. "We need to grow stronger if we're going to make it out of here as always."

Angitia's voice slipped into his mind, calm and authoritative. This plane respects only power, Master. If you falter, it will consu you.

"Then we'd better get started," Ethan replied, his voice resolute.

He summoned Tia, the sentient chain coiled around his wrist. It unwrapped itself eagerly, the links glowing faintly in the sunlight. "Ready, Tia?" he asked.

"Always, Master!" the chain responded with an almost childlike enthusiasm. "Let stretch out a little—this heat is making restless."

Ethan allowed himself a small smile before stepping forward. He crouched, pressing a hand against the hot sand. The familiar pulse of his Earth affinity surged through him. The grains beneath his palm compressed and solidified, forming a smooth platform of stone. He raised it with a flex of his will, creating a series of pillars that shot up like jagged teeth from the ground.

"Focus on control," Ethan muttered, his voice low but firm. He concentrated, forcing the pillars to twist and coil into complex shapes. Sweat beaded on his forehead, the effort draining, but his resolve remained unshaken.

Satisfied with his progress, he turned to his Psychic affinity. Ethan extended his hand toward one of the stone pillars, enveloping it with an invisible force. Slowly, he lifted it off the ground, feeling the strain on his mind as he held the massive structure aloft. He pushed himself further, splitting the boulder into smaller fragnts and sending them hurtling through the air. Each fragnt struck a distant target he had imagined, the precision improving with every attempt.

"Good. Again."

The training was grueling under the relentless suns. When he wasn't practicing with Earth or Psychic abilities, he focused on refining his weapon skills. With Tia coiled around his arm like a living whip, he executed precise strikes against the air, imagining foes closing in from every angle. He moved with fluidity, a blend of raw power and calculated finesse.

By the second day, Ethan had made notable progress. His Psychic abilities felt sharper, his Earth affinity more responsive. Even his Blood Magic, the unpredictable power tied to his lineage, began to bend more willingly to his command.

As the suns began to dip toward the horizon, painting the desert in shades of gold and crimson, Ethan paused his training to gather his thoughts. The quiet was short-lived.

A low rumble echoed through the dunes, faint but unmistakable. Galeno let out a warning growl, his massive shell shifting as he prepared for a fight. Angitia froze, her tongue flicking out to taste the air. Her eyes narrowed.

They're coming, she said, her voice sharp with urgency. Beasts. Multiple.

Ethan didn't waste a second. He turned to Galeno and Angitia. "Get ready. This isn't just another stray Bronze or Silver rank." His companions nodded, their forms tense with readiness. He reached for his spear, the weapon's weight familiar and reassuring in his grip.

The rumbling grew louder, the sand shifting violently as if the desert itself had co alive. Ethan's heart pounded in his chest, his instincts screaming a single warning: This will be no ordinary battle.

The horizon darkened with movent. Shadows erged—hulking, distorted shapes clawing their way out of the dunes. Ethan's grip on his spear tightened as he readied himself for the fight to co.

....

The first wave of beasts burst from the dunes, their sleek, scaled forms shimring like molten gold under the twin suns. Silver-ranked desert wolves, their jaws lined with rows of jagged teeth, charged toward Ethan with feral precision. Behind them, hulking Bronze-ranked scorpions erged, their venomous tails gleaming like deadly spears.

"Angitia! Take the left! Galeno, the right!" Ethan barked. He raised his spear and surged forward, eting the pack head-on.

A wolf leaped at him, its jaws snapping shut inches from his face. Ethan twisted, driving his spear into its side and using the montum to hurl its body into an oncoming scorpion. The creatures collided with a sickening crunch, but there was no ti to savor the victory.

Angitia moved like liquid shadow, her body coiling and striking with ruthless efficiency. Her fangs sank into the neck of a wolf, venom paralyzing it instantly. With a flick of her tail, she slamd another beast into the sand, its body crumpling under the force.

Galeno was a fortress in motion, his massive shell deflecting attacks as he barreled into the fray. The scorpions' stingers glanced off his carapace, their venom harmless against his natural armor. With a ground-shaking roar, he crushed a wolf underfoot, the creature's yelp cutting short.

Ethan spun his spear, deflecting an incoming wolf's strike and countering with a precise jab to its throat. He leaped back as a scorpion lunged at him, its tail lashing out. Summoning his Earth affinity, he slamd his hand into the sand, forming a jagged wall of stone that impaled the creature mid-attack.

The battle raged on, the desert echoing with the snarls and roars of beasts. Ethan's movents were a dance of calculated aggression, his spear and Blood Magic working in tandem. When a wolf lunged for his back, he called upon his blood, forming a crimson blade in his free hand to slice it cleanly in two.

"Tia, now!" he shouted. The sentient chain sprang to life, whipping through the air with deadly precision. It coiled around a scorpion's stinger, yanking it down as Ethan drove his spear through its armored head.

Master, another wave approaches! Angitia's voice cut through the chaos. Ethan glanced up to see more beasts cresting the dunes—reinforcents.

"Galeno, cover !" Ethan commanded. The tortoise shifted to block the advancing horde, his massive form a living bulwark. Ethan pressed his hand to the ground, summoning spikes of stone to slow the enemies' approach.

The tide of beasts seed endless, but Ethan refused to falter. His breaths ca hard and fast, his body aching from exertion. Blood dripped from shallow wounds on his arms which were healing almost instantly, but his resolve burned brighter than ever.

As the last of the beasts fell, the desert grew eerily silent. Ethan stood amidst the carnage, his chest heaving. Around him, Galeno and Angitia regrouped, their forms battered but victorious.

Ethan planted his spear in the sand, leaning on it for support. "If that's just the beginning, we've got a long road ahead."

...

The final day brought the most harrowing challenge yet. As the group ventured into a narrow valley, the air grew heavy with an oppressive aura. Even the ground seed to tremble underfoot.

Sothing is close, Angitia warned, her tone tense. Its aura is overwhelming.

Galeno growled low, his massive form shifting uneasily. Ethan's grip tightened on Tia, now coiled like a bracelet around his wrist.

The valley was unnervingly quiet, the usual hum of distant creatures replaced by a suffocating stillness. Even the shifting sands seed subdued, held under the oppressive weight of the aura emanating from deeper within the canyon.

Then, without warning, the earth exploded in a shower of sand and debris. The basilisk erged with a thunderous roar, its golden scales gleaming like molten tal under the twin suns. Its serpentine body was easily 40 feet long, with hypnotic erald eyes glowing with an unearthly light. Each movent exuded raw, overwhelming power—a predator that ruled this desolate land.

Ethan's breath hitched as he felt its energy wash over him. This was no ordinary beast. Its aura alone was like a crushing tide, threatening to snuff out his resolve. But instead of fear, a spark ignited within him: the challenge he craved.

"Galeno, Angitia!" Ethan barked. "Take care of the others. The basilisk is mine."

The mont he spoke, the sands erupted again. A swarm of lesser beasts—scaled scorpions and sand cobras—erged, drawn by the basilisk's dominance. Galeno roared, his massive form plowing into the fray as Angitia unleashed psychic waves, scattering the creatures like leaves in a storm. But Ethan's focus was locked entirely on the basilisk.

It struck first. The air scread as its massive tail lashed out with blinding speed, a golden blur of destruction. Ethan teleported a fraction of a second before impact, the tail obliterating the rock formation he'd been standing on. He reappeared mid-air, already hurling a barrage of blood blades at the creature's head.

The basilisk twisted, its scales deflecting most of the crimson projectiles, though one blade sliced through the softer flesh near its left eye. It roared in pain, the sound reverberating through the valley like thunder.

Ethan landed, rolling to absorb the impact. His mind raced. Its defenses are nearly impenetrable. I need to exploit its speed and my versatility.

The beast lunged; its maw wide open to reveal fangs dripping with erald venom. Ethan thrust his hand into the ground, summoning a jagged earthen wall to block the attack. The basilisk smashed through it as if it were paper, but the montary obstruction gave Ethan enough ti to leap onto its back.

"Let's see how you handle this!" Ethan growled, driving his spear into the creature's scales. He channeled his Earth affinity through the weapon, sending shockwaves rippling along the basilisk's body. Stone spikes erupted from the ground, pinning its lower half.

The basilisk shrieked, thrashing violently. Its tail lashed upward, catching Ethan off-guard and slamming into his ribs. The force sent him hurtling through the air, crashing into a nearby rock outcrop. Pain exploded through his body, and he tasted blood.

Gritting his teeth, Ethan forced himself to his feet. The basilisk was already tearing through the stone spikes that bound it, its glowing eyes locking onto him with murderous intent.

I need to keep it on the defensive, he thought, raising his hand. The blood pooling from his wounds coalesced into a swirling crimson orb. With a sharp gesture, he unleashed it in a concentrated beam, aiming for the creature's head.

The basilisk twisted, the beam grazing its side and scorching its scales. It roared in fury, its erald eyes flaring with an intense glow. Ethan felt a wave of psychic energy slam into his mind—a hypnotic, paralyzing force. His limbs froze, his breath hitching as the beast closed the distance.

"No... you don't!" Ethan snarled, forcing his mind into overdrive. He retaliated with his own psychic surge, a telekinetic blast that sent the basilisk stumbling back. The strain of the ntal clash left him gasping, but it had bought him precious seconds.

He teleported again, this ti appearing beneath the creature's jaw. Summoning his Earth affinity, he slamd his fists into the ground. The earth exploded upward, massive stone spikes aiming for the basilisk's throat. It dodged most, but one spike struck ho, piercing the softer flesh just below its head. The beast let out a guttural cry, venom spraying wildly as it writhed in pain.

Ethan didn't let up. He raised both hands, summoning two massive constructs—one of blood, the other of stone. They rged into a brutal hybrid weapon: a colossal hamr. With a roar, he swung it down onto the basilisk's skull, the impact sending shockwaves through the valley.

The basilisk collapsed, montarily dazed. Ethan seized the opportunity, summoning Tia. The sentient chain coiled around the creature's neck, tightening like a noose. Its dark blue glow intensified as it drained energy from the beast, weakening its thrashing. Discover stories at My Virtual Library Empire

But the basilisk was far from finished. With a surge of raw power, it reared up, snapping Tia's grip and sending Ethan flying once more. This ti, he managed to teleport mid-air, landing in a crouch. His body was battered, blood dripping from nurous wounds which slowly healed, but his resolve burned brighter than ever.

"Alright," Ethan muttered, his crimson eyes blazing. "Let's finish this."

He extended his hands, drawing upon every ounce of his strength. The blood of the fallen beasts around him rose, forming a massive sigil in the air. The ground trembled as his Earth affinity joined the fray, creating a swirling vortex of sand and stone. At its center, a blade of pure blood and earth energy began to take shape—a weapon forged from the essence of his power.

The basilisk lunged, its venom-coated fangs aiming for Ethan's heart. He teleported at the last second, reappearing above the beast with the blade in hand.

"This is the end!" he roared, driving the weapon straight into the basilisk's skull. The blade pulsed with violent energy, detonating on impact. The explosion sent shockwaves rippling through the valley, the force leveling the surrounding rock formations.

When the dust settled, the basilisk lay motionless, its golden blood pooling around its massive body. Ethan stood over it, his body trembling from exertion. His breath ca in ragged gasps, but he refused to fall.

Angitia slithered to his side, her black eyes filled with quiet pride. "Master... you have truly surpassed your limits."

Ethan managed a weak smile. "Good. Because this plane isn't done with us yet."

Galeno rumbled in agreent, his massive form casting a protective shadow over Ethan. Drawing strength from his companions, Ethan straightened.

Across his vision, notifications rang out, causing him to smile.
