Chapter 984: Chapter 458: As Expected… (Valentine’s Day Special!)
Lin Yi frowned slightly, always feeling that so relationships in this campus are indeed quite complex.
Old Mo, the Balancing Saint, has already made him feel a bit absurd; the Convenience Store houses a high-ranking Alien Angel, “Burial Body,” which is also sowhat absurd; but now, the fact that Convenience Store Owner -003 knows everything yet lets the Zealots run wild is truly the most absurd…
But then again, is this the self-confidence and assurance of Convenience Store Owner -003?
“Then I won’t say more! Fare—well!” Lin Yi pocketed three rolls of cookies, slipped away quickly, and walked out of the Convenience Store’s exit.
“Pop…”
The light halo at the door slightly rippled, soon calming the area.
Watching the calm-en-folding portal, Convenience Store Owner -003 secretly exhaled: “Lin Yi, oh Lin Yi… we’ve finally t…”
He whispered softly, and amidst the interweaving of light and shadow, that face faintly revealed a mix of angelic and demonic cultic quality…
“You said… you’d take us away…”
…
May 10, X023, 11:45, cafeteria area, sowhere in the Student Passage.
Amber lights spread across the pitted world, and a damp breath pervaded the passage. Many Experience Students had just finished lunch and were descending the Student Passage in a hurry, their expressions numb, as if sealing their inner selves within their bodies to try and isolate the fear welling up from deep within.
As they walked, suddenly, among the stream of people erged a new figure…
This figure was clearly Lin Yi, who had just left the Student Passage.
When Lin Yi entered the portal, his vision was once again occupied by hazy white light. He attempted to expand his perception, to explore the connection between the portal and the campus.
Unfortunately, just when his perception tendrils probed outward, they were imdiately twisted and scattered by the intense fluctuations between Layers, turning into a handful of cheerleader pom-poms swaying in the wind.
The perception failure was montary; before he could gather his strength again, the white light had dissipated, and he found himself in the Student Passage, surrounded by a familiar environnt and many Experience Students.
He glanced at his watch, then silently blended into the crowd, moving toward the exit of the Student Passage.
[Lin Yi…]
The Student Passage was filled with swirling winds carrying whispers, like a ribbon entwining Lin Yi.
Lin Yi’s steps briefly paused, yet he continued walking with his usual calm deanor.
[Lin Yi, oh Lin Yi…]
The voice fluctuated near and far but remained persistent.
In the wind, there seed to be the clinking sound of chains’ “clang clang clang.”
Lin Yi ignored it, walking down the Student Passage.
Just as he left the Student Passage, he could still vaguely hear so “hee hee hee” laughter, as if even though Lin Yi didn’t respond to them, they were very happy—it’s unclear why.
At the exit of the Student Passage, there wasn’t much sunlight; the morning weather on campus was gloomy, and it was already fortunate that it hadn’t rained.
As soon as Lin Yi stepped out, he sensed a hint of chill in the air.
He rubbed his arms and whispered, “This rain… seems unavoidable…”
“Hope it cos a bit later…”
Though judging by the trend, Lin Yi felt it unlikely it would arrive only in the evening, yet a wishful thought in his heart was still very necessary.
He took a deep breath, tightened his clothes slightly, and then planned to return the “Dining Hall Rules” at the bulletin board; however, he hadn’t walked a few steps before he seed to have sensed sothing and turned his head to look at another passage…
A Pocket Chef dressed in black apron stood there holding a pig-killing knife, observing sothing unknown.
He instinctively squinted his eyes, a golden gleam flashing at the corner of his eye as “Field of View Insight” quietly activated.
“Buzz…”
Invisible waves spread out, his vision beca blurred for a mont, then quickly zood in on another passage.
He found that the black apron chef was not in the conventional Layer, sowhat like Old Mo’s state, but on the pig-killing knife in his hand, there seed to be so sticky dark red substance, as if it had recently been used for killing.
Lin Yi had just glanced at it when the black apron chef sensed Lin Yi’s insight, imdiately turned slightly, and t Lin Yi’s gaze sharply.
An intangible killing intent seed to place the edge of the blade against Lin Yi’s neck.
But in an instant, he saw the other bag behind Lin Yi—the bag of Old Mo.
At this mont, the black apron chef’s eyes slightly widened, as if he had seen sothing unbelievable, then as if he rembered sothing, he nodded toward Lin Yi.
The sharp killing intent on him faded instantly.
Imdiately after, he turned and entered another passage, leaving Lin Yi still standing sowhat perplexed, head full of question marks.
“What is this situation?” He was confused, but still suppressed the doubts in his heart and continued toward the bulletin board.
As he walked closer, his brows unconsciously revealed a joyful expression.
“Young Master Tian! Wei Sang! Kuai Kuai!” he called out excitedly.
It turned out Tian Bufan and others were waiting for him at the bulletin board.
Upon hearing Lin Yi’s shout, those chatting imdiately looked over.
“Old Lin.” Tian Bufan smiled slightly, nodding his head.
“Old Lin!” Wei Shan obviously a bit more excited.
Kuai Hongji rely crossed his arms and nodded.
“Hey hey hey! Old Lin, why can you treat differently? Why not call , am I not a person?” Wei Liang grinned dissatisfiedly, poking his half-snak… stealthily from behind the bulletin board.
