Chapter 934: Chapter 433: One Question, Three Unknowns

“That Black Chef has already died over there, yet you still managed to co back…?”

When the bizarre female Art teacher stood up, Lin Yi finally got a clear view of her current appearance.

In fact, she wasn’t much different from last night, except that she no longer wore the tattered cloak draped over her shoulders. At the sa ti, Lin Yi noticed that the leg, regenerated after being severed by Mu Daxian, was missing its stockings.

It seed that the stockings she wore at the ti had been cut off along with the leg.

“If changing clothes requires a fixed location, then does this an… she also returned to campus on May 7th and has stayed here ever since?”

Lin Yi furrowed his brows.

At this mont, a torrent of clues seed to flood his mind.

Could the appearance of these zealots be connected to the ‘Ashen Apostle’?

The Desolate Land, the Matrix, Extraordinary Material—combined with the bizarre female Art teacher and a group of zealot students—so many factors layered together, it was hard not to connect all these leads.

“Oh… I thought I wouldn’t make it back either.” Lin Yi spoke calmly.

The female Art teacher restrained her eerie smile, reminiscing about the ti when she was still “human.” She tried to make herself appear more “human” in front of Lin Yi: “Care for a little chat?”

With each eting, she found herself increasingly drawn to Lin Yi—not because of any so-called male charm, but because of that faint, almost imperceptible aura on him, one that belonged to the “transcendent.”

Her words made Lin Yi squint instinctively, but coming to this place, he himself had many unanswered questions. Perhaps he could find so answers from this bizarre female Art teacher.

According to Old Mo, zealots encompassed various factions. Those “dispatched” to the campus seed sowhat removed from the true “power center” of zealots and appeared more human, making them potentially easier to communicate with.

“That’s exactly what I had in mind.” Lin Yi replied.

Although he said so, Lin Yi didn’t expect to glean much truthful information from her.

At the sa ti, however, he believed that the bizarre female Art teacher wouldn’t dare fabricate things arbitrarily. After all, he was sowhat familiar with the workings of the Art Building, and knew quite a bit. Deceiving him wouldn’t be so easy.

“Teacher, I…” The leading zealot, visibly perplexed by the unfolding interaction but still eager to secure so favor for himself, began to speak.

The bizarre female Art teacher glanced at him coldly, interrupting with, “I’ll reward you after I’m done here.”

Upon hearing this, the zealot’s face lit up with uncontrollable joy. His smile tore unnaturally wide, as if forcibly split by unseen hands, making him appear grotesque: “Thank you, Teacher. Thank you, Teacher…”

Lin Yi approached the lectern, his gaze landing on a dark green file folder. His brow arched slightly: “So even zealots leave their mark here?”

The bizarre female Art teacher chuckled awkwardly. “You’re quite the codian. Who says file folders are only for signing in?”

“You’re right; I was being too simple-minded.” Lin Yi nodded thoughtfully.

The bizarre female Art teacher asked directly, “What’s your na?”

“Hmm?” Lin Yi hesitated.

She clarified, “I know about the rules, so I won’t ask for your Student ID card number. But is even sharing your na inconvenient?”

“That’s not a problem. My last na is Xiao, first na Zi—Xiao Zi.” Lin Yi replied smoothly, his tone sincere and natural.

This wasn’t sothing he made up on the spot. It was “reasonable” because Old Mo had called him “kid” along the way back then. He decided to go along with it, using “Xiao Zi” as his alias to deceive the bizarre female Art teacher.

“Xiao… Zi…?” She seed slightly taken aback. Suddenly, she recalled Old Mo’s earlier nickna for him, and it all clicked in her mind. “A pleasure, a pleasure. You can call Teacher, just like the others.”

“I wouldn’t dare. You’d best reveal your true identity.” Lin Yi remained composed in his reply.

Within the campus, having a specific “identity” marked you as distinct.

The bizarre female Art teacher didn’t take offense at Lin Yi’s words. Instead, she responded slowly: “I don’t possess the type of identity you’re referring to…”

“So zealots don’t have codes?” Lin Yi’s expression shifted in realization.

Hearing this, the bizarre female Art teacher let out a cold laugh. “Codes? How could we not have codes?”

She tugged at the front of her uniform, revealing faintly the outline of a badge underneath the fitted garnt.

But she didn’t take it out. Instead, she continued, “As for the term ‘zealot’? What a ridiculous notion!”

“The idea of ‘zealots’ is nothing more than a concept imposed upon us by those narrow-minded mundane folks. We, too, are ‘Black Moon Apostles’ of the Art Departnt. But they consider their old-fashioned ways to be orthodox and are unwilling to embark on the Great Sea Route of ‘Glorious Evolution!'”

“Having stepped into the ‘transcendent,’ we must progress toward transcendent life!”

“Throughout history’s long river, the evolution of humanity itself is a story of progress. When the sprout of a new era erges, those who refuse to take that step forward are destined to be abandoned by the tide of history!”

“The era of ‘Glorious Evolution’ has arrived, child!”

Standing high on the lectern, she resembled a maniac delivering a fervent sermon.

Lin Yi had to admit that zealots truly embraced grand ideals and pursuits.
