Chapter 910: Chapter 421 [I Saw Myself]
“Hiss…”
Lin Yi silently drew a sharp breath. He thought to himself, Liangzi, your sches are endless—who do you even side with? You’re really catching off guard here!
Who would’ve thought Wei Liang could be even more brazen, winking and making faces at him, as if to say, “Brother, I’ve given you perfect support. Are you seriously not going to seize it?”
“Go on, go on!” Wei Liang waved his hands repeatedly.
“Co here, co here!” Li Huiyuan beckoned repeatedly, not forgetting to flash Wei Liang a smile.
No wonder people say Liang Liangzi is a real big-shot. He’s genuinely nice. Li Huiyuan even started thinking about letting Wei Liang sit at the main table.
Lin Yi smiled wryly, unable to say no to them, and eventually took his school uniform and walked toward the corner of the bookshelf area.
Wei Liang watched Lin Yi’s retreating back with a smile, his gaze briefly sweeping over the backpack slung on Lin Yi’s shoulder, a flicker of ambiguous light flashing in his eyes.
He laughed helplessly and then sat down at the desk, idly waiting.
His eyes fell on Lin Yi’s backpack by his feet, catching sight of the notebook poking out from inside. Without much thought, he casually pulled it out.
The notebook that had filled Li Huiyuan with dread and apprehension now appeared to be nothing more than an ordinary mo pad in Wei Liang’s hands.
He flipped the notebook over, examining its unremarkable cover, and then opened it.
As soon as the notebook was opened, the light outside the teaching building seed to dim, as though the sunlight had been obscured. An ominous breath began to descend from the unseen void, faintly shrouding the school grounds…
But Wei Liang didn’t bother to read anything inside. He simply flipped to a blank page and tore off a sheet.
After this, Wei Liang closed the notebook and placed it back into Lin Yi’s backpack.
In that mont, the light outside the teaching building returned to normal, and the eerie, terrifying breath dissipated without a trace.
The strange phenonon ca and went quickly, like a drifting cloud blown across the sky, montarily cutting off the sunlight.
Wei Liang folded the blank sheet neatly and stuffed it into his pocket.
Leaning back in his chair, he let out a sigh, seemingly lost in thought.
Suddenly, as if sensing sothing, he glanced toward the corner of the classroom.
In the corner, Mountain Man had, at so point, set down the small component he had been fiddling with. His gaze was fixed silently on Wei Liang, as though trying to decipher so mystery from his face.
Wei Liang froze for a mont, confused, and stared back at Mountain Man. But seeing Mountain Man maintain the sa look, Wei Liang’s irritation flared. He exaggeratedly squinted his eyes and glared at him, shaking his fist like so village fool trying to scare him off.
Mountain Man indeed cowered, quietly retracting his gaze and returning to fiddling with his small component.
Wei Liang snorted and looked toward the bookshelf area, shouting: “Old Lin! Don’t forget to pick out a few books for to read, all right? You know what I like!”
“Got it!” Lin Yi’s voice echoed from the bookshelf area.
Having heard Lin Yi’s response, Wei Liang sprawled out leisurely in his chair, waiting in comfort.
…
May 10, X023, 8:33, Class B, Group 2.
Lin Yi kept shrinking further into the bookshelf area, while Li Huiyuan followed closely behind him, trying to minimize the sound of swallowing her saliva.
However, no matter how soft it was, Lin Yi’s sharp hearing now made it feel as if she were gulping right next to his ear.
Lin Yi pursed his lips and said nothing, but he recalled what Boss had ntioned—becoming a sports student would amplify certain traits of one’s original personality. In Huiyuan’s case, it had amplified her liveliness, but at the mont, it seed not *just* liveliness…
Thankfully, it appeared to be limited to rely a bit of… lustfulness toward him.
Lin Yi couldn’t figure out if this had anything to do with his sudden intrusion into Huiyuan’s life, especially since he had helped her at a point of despair… But wasn’t that help primarily out of mutual interest rather than genuine friendship?
So, when exactly had their relationship started to change?
Was it during that mont in the convenience store when he checked her injured foot?
Or was it when he carried her out of the convenience store?
Or could it have been… so other mont?
“Alright, alright, enough is enough! Where are you trying to run off to?” Li Huiyuan’s impatient voice erupted behind him. “No matter where you run, this is still the bookshelf area. You’re not going to magically conjure a changing room out of thin air!”
Lin Yi hunched over slightly. “Alright, fine, here then… But you better keep watch! I don’t want to be labeled a perverted exhibitionist…”
“Oh, relax! I got this, no one but will see anything!” Li Huiyuan pat her chest confidently, puffing out her chest, resembling a mischievous little sparrow. “Trust on this!”
Lin Yi finally relented and moved behind the bookshelf, starting to change clothes…
As soon as he began undoing his uniform, Lin Yi felt a prickling sensation at his back…
He knew it—it was Li Huiyuan staring at him.
But he had no choice but to grit his teeth and continue changing…
「Rustling, rustling…」
「Rustling, rustling…」
He kept changing his clothes…
The atmosphere began to take on a strange mix of sensuality… and creepiness.
As Lin Yi removed most of his upper garnts, he suddenly felt Li Huiyuan’s hand sneakily reach out from behind the bookshelf, touching his back.
In his ear, faintly, there was the sound of greedy, nasal breathing—like soone voraciously soaking in his breath…
“Stop it… You’re being dangerous like this.”
Lin Yi said helplessly as he turned his head, intending to stop Li Huiyuan.
As he turned, he ca face-to-face with a pale, disfigured, upside-down head.
