Chapter 883: Chapter 410: Lin Yi Hosts a al_2

He gripped the bat with both hands and, without giving the Rage Angel a chance to recover, smashed it down onto the creature again and again.

“Thunk!”

“Thunk!!”

“Thunk!!!”

He struck with all his might, pumling the Rage Angel as if it were a slab of at on a butcher’s block.

But no matter how hard he hamred away, the Rage Angel didn’t seem like it was going to be destroyed at all.

“‘Can’t be entirely killed’…” Lin Yi recalled the evaluation many people had of the nocturnal species. Such an assessnt might very well apply to the Rage Angel as well.

“Huff… huff… hh… huff… huff…”

Gradually, Lin Yi stopped his battering and looked down at the Rage Angel, now reduced to a sticky, dough-like mass. Images flooded his mind—the Zealots molding these beings using “extraordinary material.” Once ford, they were like mory tal, seemingly capable of returning to their original state no matter what was done to them.

To destroy them, one must obliterate their supernatural traits—eliminate the contamination carried by the extraordinary materials at the root.

Brute force wouldn’t work. Perhaps sothing like Old Mo’s “Absorption Technique” could, but Lin Yi didn’t know how to use it.

Lin Yi frowned and glanced at his watch.

5:33.

Should he just leave this thing here?

After all, it’s not like he hadn’t dealt with it…

But wouldn’t that essentially be like randomly gifting one lucky stranger the Rage Angel surprise package?

That didn’t seem very ethical, and it wouldn’t really solve the problem. Plus, the result would just be the Rage Angel being relocated from where it had been to this teaching building.

Perhaps if he dumped it farther away…?

But that didn’t seem like a viable solution either…

There’s no way he could carry it around with him, striking it occasionally to keep it in a reset state as it slowly recovered, right?

“The Rage Angel stress ball?”

A flurry of ideas flashed through Lin Yi’s mind, all of which he ultimately rejected.

Suddenly, he caught sight of the elevator at the end of the corridor.

A plan ford in his mind instantly.

“Get up!” He smashed the Rage Angel a few more tis with the bat to “reset” its state, then condensed the secret mark into a fork shape and skewered it off the ground. With this improvised tool, he hauled the creature toward the elevator…

The elevator’s location was one of the rare parts of the teaching building where even light couldn’t penetrate. As Lin Yi approached, the darkness seed to cling to him like glue, and the cold, eerie atmosphere threatened to swallow him whole.

But he was long accustod to such sinister ambiance. Smoothly and without hesitation, he made his way to the elevator doors and pressed the “↑” button.

Ding!

Soon, a crisp sound rang out from within the elevator, followed by the doors slowly sliding open with a deep tallic groan.

As the elevator doors opened, the interior revealed the grotesque sight of Pseudo-Human students and a few Purebred Nightwalkers cramd together in a suffocating mass.

They packed every crevice of the elevator, their stretched, deforming bodies like rubber filling every gap available. Wherever Lin Yi’s gaze landed, all he could see was twisted, distorted, nauseating flesh pulsating and writhing. Since the doors had just opened, the view was montarily an unnervingly flat cross-section.

This cross-section resembled a nightmarish anatomy illustration—a cutaway of human organs magnified and warped tenfold—which then had rotating, blood-threaded eyeballs awkwardly embedded into the surface…

The scene was eerie, grotesque, insane—a cacophony of emotions like dread, malice, fury, and cold detachnt surged forward all at once, trying to devour Lin Yi whole.

Though long numb to the emotions radiating from them, actually seeing this monstrosity with his own eyes still made Lin Yi’s scalp crawl and his stomach churn violently.

It didn’t horrify him, but it revolted him.

Like the feeling of enjoying a dish of intestines but wanting to die while cleaning them.

“Rustle, rustle, rustle…”

“Rustle, rustle, rustle…”

As the Pseudo-Human students and Purebred Nightwalkers squird, their flesh emitted a sound—like tender at scraping against grains of sand.

The noise was eerily similar to a rattlesnake’s tail vibrating, but gradually, Lin Yi discerned dry whispers hidden within the sound:

[Didn’t we just co in? Why’s soone opening the door so soon…]

[Is it ti?]

[Get out! Get out!]

[The timing’s off… It’s definitely not ti…]

[Get out! Get out! I need air! I need air…]

[Don’t go out! Don’t go out!]

[…]

Lin Yi realized he was once again hearing the exchange of whispers from their pulsating flesh.

“Don’t rush! Don’t rush… I’ve got a little gift for all of you!” Lin Yi smirked maliciously, slowly extending the skewered Rage Angel toward them.

[Ah—what is that?! What is that—]

The Pseudo-Human students shrieked in horror, while the Purebred Nightwalkers grew increasingly restless.

[Light…]

[It’s light…]

[It’s the light we’ve been seeking…]

[No! No… It’s not… This is… This is…?!]

A cacophony of voices filled the elevator, chaotic and frantic. So entities seed to sense that the Rage Angel’s distinct aura was more overwhelming than their own, cowering like mice before a tiger.

[Roaaar—]

The Rage Angel let out a furious scream, as if offended by such treatnt.

Lin Yi furrowed his brow, dropped it to the ground, and summoned the bat once again to pound it into submission.

The Rage Angel quieted instantly.

Lin Yi skewered it again, holding it out toward the elevator doors.

Like a child at a zoo feeding animals through the bars.

The Pseudo-Human students and Purebred Nightwalkers recoiled, seemingly awe-struck by the Rage Angel.

Lin Yi found their instinctive cowardice ridiculous. He glanced at his watch.

5:35.

The seconds ticked by.

Anger boiled over in Lin Yi. “For the love of—stop staring! Take a bite, damn it!”

With that shout, he skewered the Rage Angel deeper into the elevator. Damn freeloaders—he doesn’t treat people often, was it because they didn’t respect his Demon Hunter status?

The Purebred Nightwalkers, ruled entirely by instinct, didn’t dare make a move. But one of the Pseudo-Human students, finally unable to resist, began absorbing the Rage Angel’s aura…

One sip was all it took before that student eagerly went for a second, quickly succumbing, and began guzzling it down greedily.

With one stepping forward, the others swiftly followed suit, too consud to resist.

The Rage Angel sensed the rapid depletion of its supernatural power and let out a low howl.

Its roar shook the Pseudo-Human students into montary hesitation.

Lin Yi sighed, dropped it again, and summoned the bat to knock it back into submission.

After a few strikes, he suddenly heard a “crack”—a piece of the Rage Angel’s outer layer broke off!

Lin Yi’s spirits lifted. He instantly understood that part of the entity was exhausted of its supernatural power, causing the outer layer to turn fragile and break like stone.

Still, despite this progress, to ensure it wouldn’t return, he’d need to expose it to sunlight eventually.

This ti, when Lin Yi dropped the Rage Angel, he was surprised to feel a sense of reluctance emanating from the Pseudo-Human students—like snatching away a perfectly good al from a dog halfway through eating.

So when Lin Yi again extended their “dog dish”—the Rage Angel—back toward them, so bolder Pseudo-Human students stretched bits of their flesh beyond the elevator door like tentacles, greedily gnawing at the Rage Angel’s body.

Where there’s one follower, there’s many more. The portion of the Pseudo-Human students’ residual minds that remained functional at last squeezed out its final bits of intelligence. More and more of them began to feast on the Rage Angel, and then those cramd deeper within the elevator couldn’t bear it any longer. They started wriggling toward the gaps, forcing bits of themselves outside like flesh pushing through congested pores. The sight of this group attempting to “pop blackheads” was utterly revolting but accelerated the Rage Angel’s consumption…

[I want so too…]

[I want so too… Give so space… Give so…]

So students unable to eat or stretch themselves out eventually grew desperate. The crowding intensified, leading to so unlucky ones on the edges being squeezed out entirely, “plop,” landing on the ground in a disgusting mass resembling mangled sludge—all dignity gone—and frantically trying to squeeze back in, seemingly just as anxious to get a taste of the Rage Angel.

The chaos at the elevator entrance grew ssier. Lin Yi considered whether to deliver another dose of his “Honest Stick Technique” to the Rage Angel before dumping it here for them to deal with.

But then, in the corner of his eye, he suddenly saw sothing—and every hair on his body stood on end.

At the edge of his vision… was a person!
