50: Chapter 23 [I Am the Class Teacher]_2 50: Chapter 23 [I Am the Class Teacher]_2 “Although I don’t believe in superstitions, with the yang energy being this strong, it shouldn’t co to…
cough cough!”
Lin Yi took a deep breath and carefully pinched the slip of paper with her fingertips, as if it were not just a piece of paper but a parchnt scroll containing earth-shattering secrets.
“Crackle, crackle, crackle…” The crisp sound of the paper resonated as Lin Yi slowly unfolded it.
“Hmm?” A slight quirk of her eyebrows appeared when she saw what was written on the paper.
There were no earth-shocking secrets on the slip, just a sentence scrawled in ssy blue ink, repeated over and over—
[I am the horoom teacher.]
“‘I am the horoom teacher’?” Lin Yi was imdiately confused; she wore a badge, processed his enrollnt, issued his Student ID card, instructed him on things to take note of, and even visited the classroom in the morning and evening…
Wasn’t she the horoom teacher?
Why write it down like this?
Moreover, the writing…
so neat, so ssy, and so so wildly scrawled that they looked like blue ink blobs, it was hard to imagine it was all written by the sa person…
Or rather, one found it hard to imagine the ntal state of the horoom teacher as she repeatedly wrote this sentence.
Yet, as Lin Yi gazed at this sentence for a long ti, a scene suddenly erged in her mind.
In the office, the horoom teacher wrote “I am the horoom teacher” over and over on the paper; it beca ssier with each repetition until, for so reason, she tore up the paper and crumpled it into a ball of waste, scattering it everywhere.
At this mont, Lin Yi thought of Wei Liang, Wei Liang’s student number was X0230506096, he had entered the office before him.
“Liangzi.”
He called out to Wei Liang.
“Hmm?” Wei Liang looked at him.
“When you first t the horoom teacher, did you notice anything odd about the office?”
“Huh?
Could there be sothing wrong?” Wei Liang responded, puzzled.
Lin Yi hinted, “For example, was it ssy, or was the trash bin overflowing, or were there scraps of paper on the floor?”
Wei Liang thought about it seriously and then shook his head, “I don’t rember, it seed quite clean…”
Seeing Wei Liang’s expression that read ‘I definitely wouldn’t rember it wrong’, it wasn’t hard for Lin Yi to surmise that Wei Liang would have walked into the Teacher’s Office with a deanor of disinterested focus, likely to block out any irregularities subconsciously at the first sign…
Moreover, Lin Yi was more convinced of one thing, that as soon as Wei Liang entered the office, his eyes were glued to a pair of stockings…
He couldn’t look away, not even a little.
“So…
‘this note must hide so information, but what does ‘I am the horoom teacher’ really an?”
Lin Yi was utterly baffled and had no choice but to give up for the mont; she put the note with the post-it and decided to brainstorm with Hetian Bufan and the others when she returned to the dormitory.
…
Year X023, May 7, Teaching Building B, Teacher’s Office.
The horoom teacher B2-039 returned to her office, reached for the doorknob, then slowly closed the door to the office.
As the door shut, she leaned against it, giving her full weight to the door before slowly sliding to the floor.
“Huff…
Huff…”
She gasped for air, her fair face turning pale, her forehead slick with a film of sweat.
She swallowed her saliva and looked at the clock on the wall.
7:59.
She tossed the folder in her hand to the side, then struggled to push herself up and shuffle toward the desk.
“Huff…”
She found her vision blurring, the images she saw seed to double…
“Huff…”
She laboriously moved her body.
“Huff…
Huff…”
The ten-square-ter space seed to stretch on for a lifeti as she walked.
Finally, she reached the desk and, not bothering to move around to the chair on the other side, she collapsed onto the desktop, then reached out with trembling hands to pull open a drawer.
She looked into the drawer and saw that in one corner lay a green envelope.
“Green…
green?!”
Her eyes contracted sharply, and her whole body trembled.
“It’s bad…
it’s so bad…”
She looked again at the clock.
8:02.
“Those few steps, it took …
three minutes?!”
She placed the green envelope into the drawer, then frantically reached in to take out a stack of white papers, pulled a pen from her pocket, yanked off the cap, tossing it aside, and then grasped it tightly in her hand!
She looked down at the horoom teacher badge on her chest, took a deep breath, then clenched her teeth, closed her eyes, and started to recite in her heart while adjusting:
“I am the horoom teacher!”
“I am the horoom teacher!”
“I am the horoom teacher…”
She suddenly opened her eyes, her golden pupils shining like the sun, gripping the pen in her trembling hand, she frenziedly scribbled over the paper non-stop:
I am the horoom teacher, I am the horoom teacher, I am the horoom teacher…
After quickly filling a page, she glanced at it.
For so reason, even though she had written the words herself, the sight of them filled her with terror, her entire body still shaking, her eyes flickering with light, betraying sheer fear…
“No, no, no, no…
it shouldn’t be like this…” She gritted her teeth, tore the paper to shreds, crumpled it up, and threw it everywhere, then continued writing.
Unaware of how long she wrote, the office had beco filled with wads of waste paper, and the breathing of the horoom teacher had cald considerably; the writing she produced was much neater as well.
Finally, after reviewing the sheet, her emotions stabilized significantly, but a trace of panic still lurked in her eyes.
She put down the pen and then looked uneasily at the closed drawer.
She stared at the drawer for a very long ti.
Eventually, she mustered the courage and slowly pulled the drawer open.
In the corner of the drawer, there was a blue envelope.
“Sigh…”
The horoom teacher’s eyebrows relaxed at once, she let out a long breath and slumped to the ground from her desk, her hair disheveled and clothes unruly, but her black eyes were filled with a sense of imnse relief.
“Thank goodness…
thank goodness…”
After resting for a while, she looked at the wall clock; ti had imperceptibly reached 10:20.
She stood up, patted her fitted suit, and started dragging herself to tidy up the chaotic office.
She gathered up the balls of waste paper and threw them into the trash can.
Inside the trash can were two lunch boxes, in the partly open corner of which, a dark red viscous substance was faintly sared…
…
May 7th, X023, 11:00, Class B Group 2.
“Class is over!
Ti to eat!” Wei Liang, looking at the clock on the wall, cheered with his hands raised high, as if he had just fought a long battle and finally achieved victory.
Lin Yi glanced at the wall clock and then at his watch, shaking his head in resignation: “Is it necessary to be so excited?”
Wei Liang packed up his comic book, teased, “It is commonly said, those who aren’t enthusiastic about eating have issues with their brain, and besides, you’ve only had a few cookies from last night until now.
Aren’t you hungry at all?”
Lin Yi replied: “I’m just not as hungry as you’re making it out to be.”
“Co on, let’s eat!” Wei Liang stood up, pulling on Lin Yi.
“Alright, alright, no need to pull, I can get up myself,” Lin Yi said speechlessly, then rose from his seat, but not before sneaking a peek at the Green Forest Belt.
When he confird that the Little Genius Sculpture was still there, he felt sowhat more at ease inside.
Lin Yi and Wei Liang walked out of the classroom together, accompanied by several other students.
“With so luck, I might get to see Young Master Tian and the others earlier…”
…
In the Green Forest Belt of the B Group Building 2 in the Teaching Building…
As the trajectory of the sun shifted, the higher foliage and shadow cast by the Teaching Building gradually covered the Green Forest Belt.
A breeze blew through, the Green Forest Belt “rustling”, with sothing white flickering amongst the leaves…
“Huff—Huff—”
The wind sounded in gusts.
“Rustle—Rustle—”
The sound of the leaves lingered.
Suddenly, a wind gust blew through the forest, swaying the bushes next to the Little Genius Sculpture, revealing a more defined white object.
It was like a piece of sculpture soone had hidden in the woods, accidentally exposing its head.
