The lights went out in an instant!
After a full second, the lights ca back on!
When the light returned, what was captured under the streetlamp was an extrely bizarre scene—
Thirteen human sculptures from all directions had surrounded the streetlamp so tight that no water could escape, almost completely occupying the limited area illuminated by the lamp.
They were frozen in various poses, so crawling on the ground almost like humanoid beasts, while others were already under the streetlamp, arms raised high in a strangling motion, faces twisted and horrifying, as if created by so vengeful, ntally deranged sculptor.
No matter from which angle they invaded the streetlamp’s light, their target was all directed at the lamp, and every sculpture’s hand pointed to the lampshade!
Were they after the light bulbs?
No, it was Lin Yi and Wei Liang.
In this almost still picture, there was an even more abstract scene than thirteen human sculptures attacking the streetlamp pole—Lin Yi, with Wei Liang on his back, had climbed up the lamp pole.
He steadied Wei Liang’s body with one hand using a bedsheet and clung tightly to the pole with the other hand.
His left foot was on a protrusion at the base of the pole, and his right foot was directly stepping on the forehead of an unlucky human sculpture…
With Lin Yi, Wei Liang, and the streetlamp pole combined, this trio looked uncannily like an abstract “Monkey Stepping on a Stick to View the Sea Picture,” and adding the thirteen human sculptures below, it suddenly took on the flair of a Western cult art style.
Not only abstract, but it also seed to suck the brains right out of you.
Lin Yi was a bit slow to react, what?
Was this a move I pulled off?
Even craftier than crafty tricks!
Especially that foot “leveraging” on the face of the human sculpture in the face of danger, it had all the style of Boss kicking him into the pool!
Truth be told, in the mont the streetlamp went out, he had keenly sensed the movent of those human sculptures, simulated their attack trajectories in his mind, and even calculated so escape routes.
But in the final mont, upon seeing the restless figures in the mist, he dismissed all the escape paths and chose this most dangerous yet daring move.
And even Lin Yi himself hadn’t realized that at this mont, his eyes were shining with dazzling brilliance, like a blazing sun stunning the world.
It was at this mont that he, “ascended,” discerned his bearings in the vast darkness with his bright golden eyes and saw a cluster of lampposts radiating faint afterglow!
“I see it!”
“I see it all!”
The vision that had been obstructed by the thick fog suddenly beca much clearer, and he felt as if his eyes possessed a night vision-like ability at that mont.
Honestly, this vision was similar to the uncontrollable black and white exposure quality he had before, but it was even more powerful, like an enhanced version of the black and white vision.
In this vision, he saw a path of nothingness that was twisting.
The path moved slowly like a snake, occasionally rippling around it.
At each “snake” junction, there was unmistakably a lamppost.
At the “snake’s” end, it seed fixated on sothing.
Needless to say, Lin Yi knew that place was the dormitory building!
He quickly counted; indeed, there were only four lampposts ahead, and the fourth one was the first lamppost in front of the dormitory building—”Dormitory Building-096″!
But he also noticed a problem.
In front of “Dormitory Building-094” and “Dormitory Building-095,” there were non-human classmates maintaining a standing-with-face-to-wall posture!
Lin Yi knew these non-human classmates were definitely not just standing facing the wall; the dimming of the streetlights was almost certainly related to them.
But now there was no ti to think so much; the most important thing was to get back to the dormitory building!
“Old Lin…
go…
go quickly…” Lin Yi thought he heard Wei Liang’s weak voice, but he was sure that Wei Liang wasn’t in a condition to speak at that ti.
Feeling Wei Liang’s increasingly cold hand, Lin Yi gritted his teeth, nodded vigorously, and said to himself, “We really need to go now!”
Leaving was a must.
The streetlights could go out at any ti, and the human sculptures could move again at any mont.
There wasn’t much ti left!
He held his breath, looked into the distance, peered past the few lampposts in between, briefly extrapolated the “snake’s” twisting trajectory in his mind, and ultimately locked onto “Dormitory Building-096”!
The trajectory was worth a look, but the only truly reliable thing was the unchanged endpoint.
Taking a deep breath, he glanced at the ti, then, with Wei Liang on his back, he used the petrified human sculptures as steps, stepped down to the ground, and rushed straight toward “Dormitory Building-096”.
…
May 8, 2023, 21:13, the dormitory building area where the mist gradually turned to gray.
Lin Yi, carrying Wei Liang, rushed into the grey mist.
The dense mist, like a blanket, blocked the light and rcilessly covered Lin Yi’s figure.
Not long after he left the “Dormitory Building-092” lamppost, the white paint marking the lamppost’s number completely faded away, and the light bulb within the lampshade was extinguished, turning into a round stone ball with concentric circle patterns.
