Capítulo 1422: Chapter 675: Library – 39F (Part 2)

Mao Feiyang observed the situation and sought Lin Yi’s opinion, “Old Lin, what’s your take?”

Lin Yi thought to himself, what the heck am I supposed to ‘take’? He simply cursed, “I don’t even know what you guys are talking about. Don’t bother asking , just stick to the plan, alright?”

Besides, even though my understanding is very limited, following ‘my’ original plan was definitely the right move.

Hearing this, Mao Feiyang didn’t say anything further, just nodded and kept his mouth shut.

Lin Yi then spoke, “Kuai Kuai, about that ‘Ti String Overload Fluctuation’…”

As soon as he started speaking, the elevator in motion suddenly jolted with a “clunk” and felt like it had switched onto an entirely new track, accelerating at an inexplicably irrational speed before decelerating sharply after a while…

Lin Yi vaguely sensed sothing had happened and quickly clamd up.

“What’s going on?” Mao Feiyang anxiously looked around.

Kuai Hongji was also gripping the old oil lamp silently: “I don’t know… the elevator’s path is cyclically looped, no matter what happens next or where it stops doesn’t matter, it’ll reach the dormitory building eventually; just ans we’ll be waiting a bit longer.”

“Screech—!”

The elevator braked suddenly and ca to a halt shortly.

As if to answer Mao Feiyang’s previous question, when it fully stopped, the display showed the startling location of…

“Library… 3, 39F?”

“Library-39F.”

Lin Yi looked at Mao Feiyang, who only glanced at the panel and then withdrew his gaze.

That’s Mao Feiyang for you; sotis cheeky but always reliable at crucial tis. Since it was part of the plan, it wouldn’t change due to external factors.

Lin Yi turned his gaze outside the elevator, then frowned slightly.

The elevator on this floor stopped at a rather subtle position, almost like it had sothing like a screen concealing it, so when the doors opened, they couldn’t effectively observe the surroundings.

To prevent any unexpected incidents, he refrained from releasing his perception tentacles.

At this mont, returning safely to campus to et the six dormitory brothers was paramount; the library wasn’t in this operation plan at all.

Yet, besides this, he could see a faint mist floating on the ground…

It was as though he heard a distant song in a trance.

[“Lin Yi, oh Lin Yi… where are you heading to…”]

[“Lin Yi, oh Lin Yi… where do you plan to escape to…”]

[“Co back, co back…”]

[“I await you amidst desolation…”]

[“You know my body and na…”]

[“You know my authority and power…”]

“This voice…?!” Lin Yi’s pupils contracted sharply, “Isn’t this the call of the broken sculpture?”

He glanced at Mao Feiyang, “Maozi, do you still have my notebook?”

“Still got it,” Mao Feiyang replied softly.

A peculiar feeling surged in Lin Yi’s heart, and as he listened closely, he found that the voice didn’t fade, but instead slowly spread over, constantly echoing in his ears, as if trying to burrow into his mind.

[“Lin Yi, oh… Lin Yi…”]

[“Destiny is like the ring ford by an ouroboros… going round and round back to the starting point…”]

[“Lin Yi, oh… Lin Yi…”]

[“When the Black Moon withers…”]

[“Sing my na aloud…”]

Lin Yi’s eyes flickered.

“Could it be related to ‘ti’ again?”

To cover his entry into the “Star Moon Night” layer and later escape from the depths of the Gray Mist Sea, parts of what he wrote in his notebook took on a sculptural form to help him fend off the “High-level Alien Angel” and the “Fog Language Master” attacks.

Could those sculptures have fallen into the ti dinsion, dropped into the past, and then… been collected in a certain level of the library?

“Wait a minute, is it this level?!”

He recalled that black-and-white chessboard-like floor!

The distribution of bookshelves was sparse, approximately 1:1 compared to the black and white pillars, where pure white angel sculptures and pitch-black demon sculptures were chained to columns under the crowd of little angels and demons, markedly eerie.

If it were this floor, it seed a lot easier to understand…

But the issue was, were those demon sculptures and angel sculptures really ford by his writings dropping into the past?

This, wouldn’t this be a giant ti paradox loop?!

At this point, two thoughts erged in his mind: one was [Destiny is like the ring ford by an ouroboros, going round and round back to the starting point], the other was what Kuai Hongji had said not long ago [The causality chain in the ti dinsion is visualized, any wrong step creates unspeakable horrors in the ti paradox!]…

With these thoughts, Lin Yi broke out in a cold sweat; did his bullet shoot a loop into the ‘past’ to hit his current self?

While Lin Yi was subrged in his thoughts, Mao Feiyang suddenly asked a question, “No one ca into the elevator?”

The elevator stopped and the door opened, yet no one ca in.

No one entering was one thing, but the elevator door remained inexplicably open.

“Why isn’t the elevator moving?” Lin Yi squinted, “After stopping, it shouldn’t need to wait for people, should it?”

He rembered the elevator doors only stayed open for about ten seconds, but nearly thirty seconds had passed, and still, no response.

“Could there be a malfunction with the elevator?” he pondered internally, though the items on campus seed normal enough, they were all built with a blend of construction materials and extraordinary material, theoretically… no malfunction should occur, right?

Kuai Hongji softly said, “It’s not unmoving; it’s waiting for soone.”

Mao Feiyang remarked lowly, “Sothing across the void stopped the elevator? 39F, huh… interesting.”

“Idiot, there’s no such thing as pressing the elevator from afar,” Kuai Hongji sneered, “Soone must have pressed the button and walked away.”

“All in all, it’s very creepy…” Lin Yi stated, “Let’s not worry about why the elevator stopped here for now, what concerns the most is if sothing weird jumps out, can we handle it?”

“Handling it isn’t the issue; the issue is handling it without drawing ‘Angel’s’ attention…” Kuai Hongji paused, “If only we knew so Crafty Tricks…”

With their current positions and authority, they could easily handle any unit below the ‘Supre Judgnt’ level, but such maneuvers often resulted in several consequences, easily exposing their positions.

Yet that guy, who refined top-level maneuvers into Crafty Tricks, could seemingly resolve most problems without employing supernatural powers.

“But haven’t we already left the Art Building area?” Lin Yi questioned puzzledly.

Kuai Hongji responded, “Leaving the Art Building area just ans being undetectable by ‘Night Watchman-02’ with ‘Quartermaster’s’ power. As for ‘Angel’, we’re uncertain about its level of penetration into the world. Optimistically, it might have only penetrated the pseudo-real layers of the Art Building, but the Library is sowhat similar, not entirely in reality either.”

“Oh… you an, these two circumstances are separately determined, right? But fundantally, the base logic is similar?” Lin Yi asked.

“Yes… Anyway, be cautious, shh—soone’s coming!” Kuai Hongji whispered.
