They just changed from "invading the campus" to "invading the Art Building"!
The essence is still an invasion!
An invader is an invader, and changing the place of invasion does not strip away the definition of the invader. Even as ti passes, the fact of invasion cannot be altered, and many of the sculptures in the campus stand as bloody evidence of the nocturnal species’ invasion.
In the inverted sky of the Art Building’s shadow, the nocturnal species mixed with the storm and rain are but the least conspicuous existence.
The rainwater in the abnormal weather is the real source of contamination!
It seems to be waters from a black ocean, with turbulent waves that sohow invaded the layers, crushed by the layers between them, and what’s left was diluted in the real world, finally becoming rain.
Although this rain contained a tiny bit of contaminating properties, the environnt coupled with the nocturnal species was enough to plant the seed of contamination in the Experience Student lingering in the rain.
This is why the safety protocols repeatedly emphasize that in abnormal weather, one must seek refuge in buildings or under street lamps!
Because the rain carries contamination, and when abnormal weather becos severe enough, the stream of nocturnal species will twist and crawl in the shadows.
The light can drive away the nocturnal species, and buildings can block the wind and rain.
Although realizing this logic clearly at this point is indeed a bit late, from a rigorous scientific perspective, going from "theorizing" to "proving" is a major progress in itself.
Lin Yi’s mind once again recalled the thod that Class Teacher-040 had told him about entering the Teaching Building’s fifth floor and above, drawing parallels with the current situation; isn’t it just the weather deteriorating from "cloudy" to "stormy"?
"So, in the campus under abnormal weather, the door attribute becos blurred, opening the pathway between the Teaching Building (reality) and the Art Building layers. However, the truly safe pathway had already been controlled by the architects who initially built the campus, who then installed elevators..."
"And the remaining... indeed cannot be controlled."
This skyward path, even under normal conditions, is not one through which a person can survive without a parachute, let alone under abnormal weather.
Even if the nocturnal species penetrates the layers, it is an imnse number sifted (crushed) through many layers, and those who survive to reach the campus are a survivor’s bias.
The reason Lin Yi thought of this is because he subconsciously imagined, "Would Maozi make it through this path?"
The conclusion he ca to was that this path is a at grinder, and if Maozi ca through, he’d certainly beco Mao-pie.
Lin Yi silently withdrew his gaze, but at that mont, his gaze swept across the aurora-like distorted vision, and a peculiar inspiration suddenly burst in his mind.
"In such a big storm, there’s not a whiff of ashes. It seems that what the class teacher said is true, that the ’Primordial Ash Apostle’ indeed cannot obtain ash replenishnt in the campus, and even the ash on its body will drift down in the campus."
The bit that Maozi got stained with ca from its drifting ash.
"However!"
"In the Teaching Building’s fifth floor and above, there’s drifting ash residue!"
"Which ans..."
"If [the ’Primordial Ash Apostle’ cannot be replenished in the campus] is absolutely correct, and [there is the aura of ashes in the Teaching Building’s fifth floor and above area], then based on these two conditions, it can be deduced—"
"The ’Primordial Ash Apostle’ cannot enter the Teaching Building’s fifth floor and above, and the Teaching Building’s fifth floor and above do not belong to the ’campus’ realm;
Though it’s reasonable to say that the Teaching Building’s fifth floor and above doesn’t belong to the campus realm, as it can be considered as being subrged by layers from the Teaching Building Area.
However, based on Lin Yi’s previous experience in Class 18 of the Teaching Building Group C, the "Primordial Ash Apostle" could absorb the ash through the layers, which makes it seem, even if the ’Primordial Ash Apostle’ fades with the depletion of ash, that process is quite lengthy.
Just like everyone will die eventually, but there’s a difference between dying of old age and dying abnormally, the existing ti is the sa.
If the ’Primordial Ash Apostle’ were to "die of old age," then what’s the point?
"So... the so-called ’expulsion’ by the Convenience Store Owner, might it be a process to accelerate the ’abnormal death’ of the ’Primordial Ash Apostle’?"
"Wait!!" Thinking of this, Lin Yi suddenly realized that the Convenience Store Owner had actually already given him the answer to this issue!
[It is a projection of the ’Ashen Apostle’ pathway within the campus... Back then, the organization that utilized Head Yuan and Mu Daxian to set up the ritual tore a breach in the campus, projecting the path of the ’Ashen Apostle’ from an unknown dinsion to here...]
"Almost forgot, this thing itself is a kind of ’projection’ by nature!"
"Thus, the Convenience Store Owner’s expulsion is not truly to expel it, but to erase its ’coordinate’ in the campus, preventing its projection! Thus achieving a curve-save-national goal!"
Lin Yi realized it deeply, feeling as though he was a bald monk, his forehead shining like a light bulb!
And at this mont, several of the incandescent lights on the ceiling suddenly flashed with a montary brightness.
"Huh, what’s this?" Lin Yi quickly withdrew his sight, looked up at the ceiling, "Is the power coming back?"
