Volu 1. Let the Ga Begin
From the start, I had been weighing the options of this so-called first ga.
On one hand, letting my leg recover would be more conducive to physical movent—in simpler terms, I could run faster.
On the other hand, the points I had on hand were just enough—exactly three hundred—and in the Points section, there was sothing I really wanted: that ‘World Watch’.
Forget everything else, just the feature that allowed ti to stop three tis in a single ga was already ridiculously OP.
Judging from this feature, it might be incredibly powerful, but based on my experience during the first bus incident, the watch’s ability likely only applied to one person, and there would definitely be other limitations.
But regardless of those, for future survival, it definitely held promise!
So, I was caught in a dilemma.
After hesitating for a long ti, I still wanted to choose that watch.
It wasn’t because I liked wearing watches, but because those three chances might give an opportunity to correct my mistakes.
After all... aside from the bus incident, I hadn’t experienced any other horror events.
Judging from this ga, it felt a bit like those infinite flow web novels.
As a web novelist myself, I was extrely familiar with this.
But there was one key difference—at least in infinite flow stories, people could still battle against terrifying beings.
Yet in this ga, from what I had seen, none of the conditions allowed humans to face anomalies head-on.
Even props that cost around four thousand points were all resurrection-type items, completely lacking offensive capability.
In other words... none of the items in this ga allowed humans to fight anomalies on equal terms.
This... was a bit like NetEase’s D5 Identity, a type of asymtric ga.
Anyone who had played D5 would understand the dangers of this kind of asymtric gaplay.
Any small mistake would lead to a total power gap.
The survivor had no ans to harm or attack the aggressor—at most, they could obstruct or delay.
Now, the content of this ga seed to be similar to an asymtric ga.
It was a kind of... escape ga with no ans of resistance.
I didn’t know where this ga ca from, or who had developed it...
In the end, was the developer really even ‘human’?
I didn’t know.
The evidence I had in hand was far too little.
I couldn’t deduce anything useful at all.
When my slender fingers rested on the screws of the fra, I hesitated for a long ti.
After all... it really looked like it was going to hurt.
I hesitated for a long ti, because... it really did look painful.
But it seed I didn’t have any better options right now.
After experiencing the bus incident, what else could I not believe in?
Because of the strength of my soul, my physical constitution was a bit stronger than that of ordinary people—but only slightly.
Judging by the current body of a 15-year-old girl, my thin arms and legs couldn’t possibly generate much strength.
A grown man could send flying with a slap.
But now, while my arms couldn’t compare to an adult male’s, they were at least not far behind boys my own age.
Clenching my teeth, I wrapped a towel around my hand to avoid slipping, then began to use all my strength to twist the first screw.
The process of unscrewing was more than I had imagined.
The screws were very tight, turning my originally planned ten minutes into thirty.
During the process, I occasionally touched the wound, and the pain made my scalp tingle and crawl.
When all the screws were finally removed, I was already drenched in cold sweat from the pain.
But it wasn’t over yet.
With the screws gone, next ca the main event—pulling out the steel rods embedded in my flesh and connected to the bone!
I quietly lifted the blanket and glanced at Aunt Zhao, who was fast asleep.
Once I confird that the whole series of actions hadn’t disturbed her, I grabbed a new towel by the bed, stuffed it into my mouth—completely, until I couldn’t even move my mouth.
Then, I wrapped the blanket tightly around my body, sealing it completely to avoid making any sound.
After all, if Aunt Zhao found out and called the doctor, my self-harming behavior might get directly tied up and thrown into a psychiatric ward.
“Sss~ Huff~ Sss~ Huff~”
Deep breaths.
I adjusted my nerves, letting my muscles fully relax, and slowly reached out to place my hand on the first steel rod.
Four rods had been inserted into my lower leg in total.
I didn’t know how much strength this would take, but the arrow was already on the bow—I had no choice but to fire!
There were less than forty minutes left until midnight!
Realizing that I didn’t have ti to hesitate any longer, I steeled myself, shut my eyes, and with a swift, decisive motion, yanked the hand gripping the rod!
“Mmmph~”
Blood, mixed with yellow pus, sprayed from the cylindrical wound in my leg with a sharp ‘psst’, and the intense pain made every muscle in my body contract violently.
My eyes flew wide open, and it felt like my eyeballs were about to pop out.
My whole body tensed, blue veins bulging.
One second... two seconds... three seconds!
“Mm~ Mm~ Mm~”
Cold sweat instantly soaked my clothes.
Trembling, I slowly brought the rod in front of my eyes, took a look, and threw it aside.
Enduring the pain, I grabbed the prepared clean towel and wiped the wound, which was still bleeding and oozing pus. After a few seconds of rest, I turned my head toward the second steel rod.
“Sss~ Huff...”
After quickly calming my breath, I once again placed my hand on the second steel rod.
I was afraid that too much exertion would leave without ti to recover, so this ti, I grabbed two of the rods with both hands.
“Sss~ Sss~ Sss~ Nngh~”
With a sudden burst of strength from both hands!
With a ‘psst’ sound, blood and pus burst out, and I felt a warm stream slowly trickling down my calf.
At the sa ti, the pain made my mind buzz, and a faint ringing filled my ears!
My breathing nearly stopped completely.
I even felt like my heart had paused along with it.
The intense pain covered every inch of my body, rendering unable to move at all, every hair on my body standing on end!
Not until my vision slowly returned did I lower my head to glance at my phone, dropped the two steel rods, and gave a nod.
It only took about ten seconds—still fast enough.
After that, I rested for another two minutes or so, felt so strength return, and then reached out to the fourth steel rod.
I pulled it out again.
Just like before, blood and pus flowed out.
When all the steel rods were finally removed and the tal rings slipped off, my whole body collapsed onto the bed.
I struggled to pull the towel out from my mouth, then covered my mouth with a hand, breathing only through my nose to avoid making any sounds that might wake Aunt Zhao.
I lay there for almost five minutes, and when I felt a bit more recovered, I got up again.
I grabbed the bandages from the side, clumsily disinfected and dressed the wounds on my calves.
It took nearly twenty minutes to get it all done.
When everything was finally finished, I let out a long breath.
“Huff... Finally done. Still have ti to eat sothing.”
Holding my phone, I quietly leaned on my crutch and walked out of the bedroom.
After gently closing the door behind , I headed over to the wardrobe.
The hospital clothes were too thin, and since my left hand had been injured before, I hadn’t even been wearing a bra these past few days.
It wasn’t a problem in the ward, but going outside without one was out of the question.
Not to ntion how uncomfortable the fabric rubbing would be—it’d bounce all over the place the mont I ran.
Don’t underestimate the small ones—they’re stretchy.
Don’t overestimate the big ones—they’re all silicone.
Hmph!
I’m not jealous—definitely not!
Sigh...
Looking back, my life really had been a failure.
I never even had a girlfriend.
The closest I ever got were those five female idols.
Aside from watching Japanese adult videos and my left and right hand playing slow motion, I hadn’t even held a girl’s hand.
Others used DLS—I, damn it, used toilet paper!
It’s a sob story that makes want to cry without tears...
Emmm...
At least I contributed to environntal protection.
None of those LDS in the little parks were mine!
I’m proud, I’m honored, I do my part for the environnt...
...
...
Damn it!
I gave a squeeze to the two soft mounds that had begun to take shape.
“They’re really soft... Too bad no matter how soft they are now, I can’t really enjoy it... Err~ not that I can’t enjoy it? Never mind, focus on the important stuff.”
There was a small kitchen in the living room.
The fridge was fully stocked.
After all, Gong Lianyu’s personality ant she spoiled her daughter too much.
She didn’t care about spending money on groceries—everything was there.
There were fifteen minutes left.
I didn’t have ti to make any fancy al.
I used so leftovers ant for tomorrow’s porridge, and pulled a squid out of the fridge.
As soone who had once been a chef, I was way too familiar with how to cook squid.
Though my current job was an author, I had worked in many different industries in the past.
I picked up a small knife and cleaned the suction cups on the squid’s tentacles.
Heated the pan, made the sauce, opened the squid, washed it, took a look at it...
Okay, yeah, the squid’s shape wasn’t exactly five-star quality.
Checked the ti—hmm, not bad.
It only took about five minutes.
Looked like my cooking skills hadn’t deteriorated with the body switch.
As expected, skills were never a burden~
I quickly scarfed down the bowl of squid fried rice, savoring its deliciousness, then opened my phone.
23:56:02
Less than five minutes until midnight, and the blood-red text on the APP was still counting down.
