Shen Tian frowned. They had checked every single rock in the Dark Ruins, however they only found so ruined remainings of so buildings, and nothing more."Let's check a bit more, this ti not the city, but around it."
Xiao Ning'er wiped the sweat from her forehead. She was wearing orange clothes, which revealed her sexy figure a bit, however that did not earn any look from neither Shen Tian or Feng Hao; both were used to such a scene.
They continued to look around the Dark Ruins and they finally saw a massive hole. In fact they wouldn't noticed it if not for the fact that they could feel the lack of Soul Force around the area."It has blended with the nature around it." Shen Tian noted.
'This is probably the hole my father fell into, it's at least fifty ters wide and as for the depth… I'm not sure myself, my Spiritual Sense can reach at least several kiloters, yet I cannot feel the end of it.'
"Be careful, Ning'er,Feng Hao, you might just fall inside it, to be sure use Soul Force to coat your feet, the hole has so kind of sucking ability, I can feel it trying to pull closer to it every mont." Shen Tian said, he was the one most close to the hole, so he could feel it.
Shen Tian took a deep breath, and shouted,"I'll check what is below the hole here, if I don't return inside a few dozen minutes, you are free to leave." Xiao Ning'er widened her eyes,"What, you can't do that!"
Feng Hao shook his head,"Just let him do it, I have a lot of trust in him, he won't die, in fact he'll probably find out what is mysterious in this hole." Shen Tian had a slight smile on his face,"Don't worry, I will return."
Without waiting for a response, he jumped into the hole, his body coated in soul force, and he focused Chakra on his feet, and after a while of free fall, he slamd his feet into the wall, stopping his descent.
He could not see anything, pure darkness covered his sight of view, with a sight he extended his hand forward, and he used his chakra, with the fire affinity to create a ball of flas, using it to see if there was anything special on the walls.
He did not see anything, he couldn't see the end of the other wall, so he expanded the fireball, and knitted his eyebrows,"This hole, was made by humans! It seems that it was not naturally made." The walls were covered in pictures.
The pictures varied, from humans, to beasts. Shen Tian recognized a few pictures, having seen them before in the ruins at the Ancient Orchid City, however the aning of so of them were completely different.
Shen Tian considered himself a good reader, after ten minutes of looking through the pictures, he send a ray of flas up the sky, as a sign that he was doing well, he was sure the two were worried about him.
He sighed,"Those walls… Who the hell was bored enough to create so many pictures in mid air, there were so stairs before… I can see that sothing was cut from the walls soone who was experienced in Sword Arts did it."
His eyes narrowed, as he reached the end of a part of the pictures,"According to this, this city was created a few hundred years before the Age of Darkness, used for trading between major cities."
"However...After the Age of Darkness, this city which was experienced a massive growth suddenly froze, as the major support it received from other great cities was interrupted." Shen Tian chuckled,'Seems the Age of Darkness… Did quite a number on them.'
His eyes changed to the Mangekyou Sharingan, and then into the EMS, he could feel so kind of energy pass through the walls, it was just like he thought, soone was sucking the Soul Force from below, and sending it underground.
However, the thod used to achieve this result, was the thing which interested him the most, they had created so kind of underground system, and weakened certain parts of the ground, to know where to suck the Soul Force from.
This was a definite proof, that there was soone living at the end of this hole, however, judging from the dust on those walls, they had not been used in a very long ti, which answers the question to where the stairs were.
Due to the Age of Darkness, they probably were too scared to go up, so to make it impossible for others, or different demon beasts to co down, they destroyed the stairs, and used the system they had created, to make Demon Beasts less interested in coming here.
Demon Beasts had it very hard when they wanted to cultivate, they cultivated at a very slower rate than when compared to humans, so no Demon Beasts was interested in cultivating at a place which lacked Soul Force.
This was definitely interesting, he did not regret coming to this barren wasteland, he knew that his father had jumped down this hole, so there was a chance that he was still alive, albeit very low, he learned this fact through reading the actual mission details after exterminating the Sacred Family.
The fools had not even burned the proof of their dented acts, it truly made him feel that his clansn were a bunch of fools, it was a miracle they had managed to create such a powerful and influential family.
He looked around, finally finishing imprinting every single corner of this wall into his Sharingan and Soul Realm, he'd look over them later, and then used his Chakra to climb up the wall, using chakra in this way was indeed effective.
It was one of the reasons he was glad he had perfect control over any foreign energy in his body, after all it granted him easy use of Chakra,Soul Force and many other energies inside his body.
Xiao Ning'er and Feng Hao were silently looking around, awkwardly waiting for Shen Tian to appear from the hole, Xiao Ning'er was the only slightly worried about him, Feng Hao trusted his friend, and knew that he wouldn't die.
