The fireball hurled through the air, coming for Riven. He gritted his teeth and lunged forward, leaping into the air. The flas over his sword increased in size and then compressed. He slashed down, his flas carrying a burn unlike any before, cutting through the fireball.

His feet barely touched the ground before he lunged forward, shooting through the air like an arrow. He thrust forward, his sword piercing right into the head of the undead, killing it instantly.

System points ca rolling in, but he turned off notifications. He lunged at the next undead. The undead knight attacked with an overhead slash. Riven parried it, stepped forward, and spun around, stabbing into the lower back and then slashing upward, ripping through the head of the undead and killing it.

He grabbed the undead’s body and hurled it at the next one, following up with a slash and decapitating the undead. Its head had barely hit the ground when his eyes were already searching for another target.

"It seems your brother has finally snapped out of his daze. Look at him go," Jack said before kicking an undead in the head and knocking its helt off. He grabbed the undead and then headbutted it hard, cracking its skull, before slamming it into the ground, shattering it completely.

"Well, he is rank one for a reason. When he focuses, his blade becos sothing else," Noel said, thrusting into the head of an undead. He looked up at Riven and saw him cutting through the undead like they were nothing.

The battle ca to an end. They gathered the crystals before rushing ahead. Jack took the lead, his nose already picking up where the hole to the next floor was.

They finally found it, and without hesitation, they leaped down. Like before, they plumted several floors before finally hitting the ground hard on the twenty second floor.

Their backs scread with pain, but they ignored it and got to their feet, shaking off the daze. The air inside this floor wasn’t normal at all, it was extrely heavy, and it felt like there was a massive weight on their backs.

"Sothing feels very off about this floor," Noel stated.

"Keep your eyes peeled, we don’t want to be taken—"

Before Riven could complete the statent, the ground blasted open. A massive explosion threw all of them, slamming them into the walls of the dungeon hard.

Riven passed out for a few seconds before snapping back to reality. All he could see was himself spinning and bouncing off the ground.

By the ti he finally stopped, his head was in disarray, blood dripping down his forehead, and bruises covered his entire body.

"Arghhhhhhh!" He groaned in pain and struggled back to his feet, only to collapse again. Then he heard a low growl. He looked up and saw the cloaked figure that had snatched Sofia away.

The undead stared at him, a low growl escaping its body. Riven looked around, trying to see the others, but he couldn’t find them.

With no one to help, Riven got up. He staggered but forced himself to stand.

"We should run," Twilight said.

"No, we can’t. Noel and Jack are there, and this thing took Sofia. We have to get her back," Riven said as he gripped his sword before him. He took a deep breath and prepared to attack, but before he could, the figure attacked, using the orb to conjure up a massive ball of flas and hurling it at him.

Riven imdiately kicked back. The flas slamd into the ground. He managed to get out of range of the explosion, then lunged through it. He blasted through the flas and instantly used Inferno Domain.

"If I’m going to take this thing down, I’m going all out. Twilight, I need your help," Riven said.

"I’ll do my best," she replied.

The undead saw Riven headed for it. It created several flas and hurled them all at once. There was nowhere for Riven to dodge.

Riven stopped and created a fla wall. Because of Inferno Domain, he was able to create a massive wall with several layers of flas.

But the green fireballs of the undead proved to pack a punch—they slamd into the wall and burned holes through it.

Riven gritted his teeth and poured more mana into the fla wall, fixing the holes, but the bombardnt wouldn’t stop.

’This undead, its magic is too powerful. How do I even fight it when I can’t get close at all? Do I have to use The One Loved by Chaos or my Hellfire?

No, I can’t. If I use either, I might not be able to use them when the ti cos to save Sofia. I have to figure this out with my normal attacks,’ Riven thought.

The bombardnt finally stopped for a mont. He removed the fla wall and, without a mont to waste, lunged for the undead.

The undead conjured flas again, but this ti it didn’t make a fireball. It attacked with the flas like a whip. They tore through the air, coming straight for Riven.

Riven ducked under the attack, but even then, he felt the heat burn against his back. He was a fla user, yet the flas felt intense.

But he didn’t let his focus break. From under there, his eyes locked on the undead. He took a deep breath and pointed his sword forward.

"Fla Blast."

The fire shot out, its efficacy increased by the Inferno Domain. It slamd into the target, BOOM! The explosion shook the walls of the dungeon. Riven was certain that the attack had hit.

But when the explosion died down, he saw the undead floating there, a thin layer of green flas surrounding it. When the attack had co, the defense of the undead kicked in and created a fla wall around it.

The flas were so thin they were almost translucent. Riven was stunned. He stood there, watching, his attack had been blocked.
