Noel stood watching his brother. He clenched his fist tight. He looked at Riven’s back as he fought. Just now, he had believed he was finally on the path to reclaiming himself, finally about to beco a true rival for Riven, but that changed in just a few seconds.

He couldn’t even muster the strength to fight anymore, yet Riven was cutting through demonized without a single issue.

Riven’s flas burned hot and high, his sword cut through demonized like a hot knife through butter, and before long, all the demonized lay on the ground dead.

Finally, Riven stopped. He turned around, flashed a smile at Noel, and passed out, his body fell backward into the blood on the ground.

As soon as his head hit the ground, it was as if he was plunged in water.

Riven sunk deeper into the water, the light getting dimr the deeper he went. He stretched out his hands to get himself out, but nothing worked, he simply kept going down, down, down.

His breath was running out. He began struggling, kicking, throwing his hands around, but nothing worked. Then he felt a hand grab on to him from behind and pull him.

Splash.

His body ca out of the water. Imdiately, he coughed loudly. He raised his head, looking around at where he was.

He stood on a never-ending sea, but this sea was on fire—blue flas. They burned as high as his knee, but it didn’t hurt at all.

The sky was pitch black, with glowing stars all around. These stars were not far from him or in the sky, they were all over, just slightly above the flas, each shining with a different color.

Riven got on his feet and stretched out his hand to touch one of the stars.

"I wouldn’t do that if I were you," the soothing voice from before sounded. He looked up the mont he heard the voice, and he saw soone standing there.

She was right in front of him, yet all he could tell was that she was a lady, but he couldn’t see her face or what she looked like at all.

"Who are you?" he asked.

"I am Twilight," she said. She didn’t give any more input.

"You an my sword?" Riven asked.

"You could call your sword," she said.

Riven felt that she was intentionally cutting her sentence short, but he didn’t know why.

"What’s this place?" Riven asked.

"This place is the connection between you and I. The mont you unsealed the second seal and connected with , this place was born.

The flas signify you, and the stars—the stars are the seals that have been placed on . Each star is a story tied to and why I was sealed," she said.

Riven was stunned by her words. He looked around, looking at how many stars were around him. Hundreds? Thousands? He couldn’t count them all.

"How many stars are there?" he asked.

"I do not know—hundreds, maybe thousands. All I know is that each star is a seal on , sothing set each of these stars. As for why, I don’t know," she said. She walked to one star, stretched out her hand. She looked at the star, not touching it, but her hand was beneath it like she wanted to.

She turned her head to Riven. "You managed to unlock two seals without ever coming here. I don’t understand how you did that, but I am forever grateful for that," she said.

"No, I’m the one that’s grateful. Because of you, I survived death twice," Riven said.

The lady was about to reply when suddenly, the water beneath the flas began boiling. Riven and the lady looked around, confused as to what was happening.

Sothing was coming from under the water. It burst out, and imdiately, a small puddle of blood ford just around where the thing ca out from.

Riven looked at what had co, and it was none other than the Iron Maiden from the dinsion he entered whenever he entered the book.

"What? How are you here?" Riven asked, subconsciously taking a step back in fear. Nothing nice had ever co out of this Iron Maiden—he didn’t want to be part of anything that had to do with this Iron Maiden for now.

"Sister."

"Sister."

The Iron Maiden spoke at the sa ti as the lady.

"Wait what? What the hell is happening?" Riven asked, confused as to what was happening right now.

"I see your seal wasn’t enough to stop you from ddling with the activities of this realm," the lady said.

"It was only a matter of ti until soone perfect finally ca. It took many years of searching until I finally did. And now that I have, sohow you show up and bind yourself to him.

At first, I believed it was a normal spirit that had co from that sword. I had no idea you have changed yourself so much, but when I felt your essence, I had no choice but to co," the Iron Maiden said.

"I had no idea that you were within the boy. He gained by coincidence," the lady replied.

"You know coincidence doesn’t exist..." the Iron Maiden said.

Suddenly, the blood beneath it started spreading. It spread for several ters, and bloodline tentacles ford, rising high into the sky and ready to attack.

"You are standing within my own realm. I’ll destroy you if you make a move," the lady said. She raised her hand and the flas shot up into the sky like pillars, twirling at crazy speeds.

Riven watched the two of them, and he was utterly confused and scared on what to do. The fla pillars were burning hot and the blood looked like they would kill him in an instant.

"Do you think I am scared of you?" the Iron Maiden asked.

"Hmmm," the lady groaned

"Wait, wait, wait, please, for all that is good, wait. What the hell is going on, and why the hell are the both of you about to fight inside my body?" Riven yelled.
