Luke's eyes ran through the last paragraph of the book, his eyes moving at a very unusual pace. His body leaned into the table with both elbows on it. The light of the desk lamp shined on the table, serving as the only light inside the room.

He was a sixteen-year-old high school boy, but unlike other boys who preferred sports and going out to parties, he was obsessed with light novels, reading tons and tons every day. He would always have a novel on him at all tis, flipping through pages or reading from the internet.

Luke ca to the last full stop of the book, and imdiately, he closed the book, as if he had been rushing to be done with it. He placed the book down and had one more look at the cover.

On the cover was a beautiful ani-styled illustration of a handso blonde boy, wearing full-body silver and gold armor, in an overly dramatic pose, holding a sword in his hands as if ready for battle.

Behind the boy was a beautiful red-haired girl with blue eyes, wearing slim-fitted red armor, and wielding a flaming sword. She was the best girl in the last volu of the story.

The na of the book was written boldly under it in a fancy font style, Hero's Obsessed Harem. It was a fast-rising light novel released by a popular author known as Frozen Fish, though no one had ever seen Frozen Fish, he continually released books that sold millions of copies worldwide.

Luke had followed his work Hero's Obsessed Harem for two years now, reading every release since the start, and now reading the final volu.

It was a story that followed the hero with a broken past who died in his world and beca the chosen one of a new world, and now had to fight against the demons and stop the apocalypse.

An extrely basic plot, so basic it would make one ask how millions of copies were sold. But Luke didn't have an issue with reading cliches; it was beautifully written with an engaging world and slice of life, though he had one problem, a problem that had spawned from the beginning of the book.

He had stopped himself from giving the book a review, waiting patiently for the end of the book, before he finally gave the review, and today was that day.

He pushed the book aside, cracked his knuckles and stretched his hands, pulling his laptop from the other side of the table. He flipped the screen open at an impatient pace and clicked on the power button.

The keyboard lit up first and the screen followed, taking a few seconds to fully boot up. Imdiately his password screen ca up, he typed in haste and unlocked the laptop.

He logged into the internet imdiately, typing in the official review site of the book. He clicked on the first site that showed, opening the review site.

The site was filled with so many glazing reviews of the book, most of which were five-star reviews heavily praising the author and the book.

Luke didn't spend much ti reading the reviews though; he used his touchpad to control the mouse pointer to the drop-a-review button at the top right corner.

A box for him to write his review showed, and without hesitation, Luke got to writing.

(Honestly, I enjoyed the majority of the story; it had great writing and character developnt. But sadly, the MC went around stealing the lovers of other n, acting like a man without control. Honestly, after reading the entire series, I thought the MC would change at so point, but he kept doing it.)

After writing his review, he set it to three stars and clicked on submit. The screen reloaded and changed to the review page, showing his review there under the na, AlmightyReader001.

Luke smiled when he saw his review sitting there, he felt accomplished after waiting so long to drop the review.

He was about to log off the site and go to bed finally, but he saw one reply pop up on his review. In a rush, he clicked on the reply. The first thing that caught his attention when the reply opened was the na.

Frozen Fish, the author of the book. Luke felt a sense of accomplishnt seeing that his review was noticed by the author himself; he imdiately read the content of the reply.

(You think my book is flawed? You'll regret that.)

"What the hell? This dude is threatening over a review? So authors seriously can't take criticism."

He didn't bother with the review anymore; the author was just salty, it would be better if he learned from his mistake the next ti he wrote. Those were the things running through Luke's mind.

He clicked to leave the site, but nothing happened, and then suddenly, everything went dark.

_________

The warm rays of the sun spilled across Luke's face, pulling him from his sleep. His eyes flickered open, and the first thing his eyes focused on were the massive beams that ran across the ceiling of where he lay.

Confused as to where he was, he jerked up, only to be hit by a blinding headache. He fell backward on the bed, groaning in pain.

It felt as though a storm was raging in his head. He lay in that position for a few seconds, and the headache cald down, his head still throbbed, but it was bearable.

He sat up slowly and opened his eyes, only to be shocked even more, as what he saw was not his room or anywhere he knew, but rather, he was seated inside a room made of fine marble walls like the houses of the dieval tis.

"Where the hell am I?" He asked himself, slowly turning around to take a good look at the room. It was a relatively small room, but much bigger than his own.

A wooden desk and chair against the wall, a cupboard on the side of the bed and a copper frad five feet tall mirror were the only items inside the room aside from the bed.

A single arched window allowed sunlight through its glass panes. Two doors stood in the room: one that led out of the room and one that led to the bathroom.

Suddenly, the door swung open, and a maid dressed in a black gown and white apron walked in holding a basin of steaming hot water with the help of two rags.

"Young Master Riven, your bath will be ready soon." She said and walked into the bathroom.

"Riven? Why does that sound so familiar?" Luke asked.
